Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective I recently tried Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care Shampoo, and I was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness. As someone who struggles with dandruff and an itchy scalp, I've tried a lot of different products, but this one really stood out. First of all, I was impressed by the scent of the shampoo. It has a refreshing and invigorating aroma that left my hair smelling great all day long. But more importantly, it really did help to soothe my itchy scalp. I noticed a significant reduction in the amount of itching and discomfort I experienced, even after just one use. The formula is also gentle and nourishing, which is important to me because I have dry combination skin. Despite being a medicated shampoo, it didn't leave my hair feeling stripped or dry like some other dandruff shampoos I've tried in the past. Overall, I would definitely recommend this shampoo to anyone who struggles with an itchy, flaky scalp. It's effective, gentle, and smells great, which is a winning combination.

It was moisturising without being too heavy or oily afterwards. The smell was great - not too overpowering and very pleasant. It is, however, a bit expensive when compared to other products on the market, which would be a barrier to buying this product again and again. I've never used Head and Shoulders shampoos or conditioners before but this was a great introduction to them - it seems their products live up to the hype.

It works well in conjuction with the head and shoulders smooth and silky shampo. I found the scent a little overpowering but it leaves the bathroom smelling nice after using. My dandruff did decrease using this shampoo but it didn't remove it completely. I'm so glad that this scented formula did not irritate my sensitive scalp It leaves my hair smooth after air drying naturally. I haven't used head and shoulders for years but I am impressed.

I haven’t used H&S for many a year and whenever I think about it, ai still think about the ads with Sofia Vegara and how she casually mets her son at her front door and has a bottle of H&S with her. Like, who does that? Anyway. This conditioner smells nice in that very generic fake flower way, is quite thick and lathers up really well. I miss that with a lot of shampoos - they don’t lather up. I want my lather! The actually getting-rid-of-dandruff thing is highly effective, so points there. Sofia knew what she was talking about, even if she needs to readjust her front door routine. My hair felt smooth and clean and there weren’t any white flakes that made me look like a cookies n’ cream chocolate bar had melted on my head.

A little goes a long way, so you don’t need to over use the product. The consistency is a bit thicker than a normal shampoo as I would say this is a ‘shampoo milk’ and not like a gel. It feels like you have cleaned your scalp properly, without stripping it of all it’s natural oils. Within the first few washes it helped to hydrate my scalp, and reduce the dry and flakiness. After using for more than a week I noticed I had little to no flakiness. Because of the nourishment my hair has felt and looked healthier, and has become bouncy. The scent is a nice light fragrance. It is fruity/floral that’s not overpowering and lasts until your next wash.

I am very dry, red, flaky and itchy. It has gotten worse as I have gotten older and I have struggled to find many shampoo or conditioners that I react well too. I found that my scalp wasn’t as red and the flakiness was definitely less. If you have a scent sensitivity this is quite highly scented but still nice. Lathers up beautifully and left my hair feeling soft and silky. I will continue to use this to see how my scalp continues to react. I would definitely recommend trying this product.

The Head & Shoulders Smooth & Silky Shampoo was no different and I enjoyed the product, pairing it with the conditioner. It left my hair feeling clean and smooth, and my scalp wasn't irritated. It definitely helped with any frizz. The shampoo lathered up nicely and was easy to work through my hair (I have long fine hair). The consistency was nice and it smelt lovely. The packaging is the standard Head & Shoulders style, which is easy to use and convenient. Overall I would recommend this product.

It smells great and leaves the hair feeling soft and smooth and doesn't weigh it down like some other products do. Helps reduce frizz too and when using it consistently it reduces the itch and flakiness of the scalp that factors like weather can affect especially this time of year. After using it my hair felt clean and it reduced the flakiness however I feel like it does need to be used to consistently to ensure it is effective. A little goes a long way with this product, you don't need to overload your hair with this product to get great results. While it is not entirely fool proof it won't instantly make a difference however overall I was happy with the results I achieved while using this product and would recommend it to anyone with these particular concerns about their hard and scalp.

It smells really nice (which is always a bonus for a shampoo that DOES something) and it leaves your hair with a fresh scent. I noticed that after using this with the conditioner my scalp was definitely less dry, and I had less flakiness. It's a big plus that there are no phosphates, parabens or colourants - there's a big movement in haircare at the moment to avoid parabens and so it's great to see that mainstream brands are getting on board. Overall I would definitely re-purchase this product and would recommend it to others who also have a dryer scalp and suffer from dandruff or flakiness.

This trial was no different, when using both together it leaves my hair feeling clean, shiny and smooth! I find that the shampoo can dry my hair out and leave it feeling a little wiry, so the conditioner really helps to bring moisture back without feeling oily and leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth! The shampoo always leaves my hair and scalp feeling super clean and you only need a small amount of product. The fragrance is really nice and leaves my hair smelling great for day. Definitely notice a reduction in dandruff and would recommend to anyone who needs help with that!

It did not leave my hair feeling dry after shampooing as normally other shampoos leave it feeling dry and brittle. I enjoy the consistency and smelt of this shampoo. The dandruff side did significantly reduce and I feel comfortable with washing my roots with shampoo knowing it won't leave my scalp dry. I would recommend this as it is budget friendly and can be found in any supermarket shelves.

My hair is colour treated, thick, curly and frizzy, without Head & Shoulders my scalp is constantly itchy. It’s a perfect size for a single person and it was only a sample!! The smell was not what I expected as it smelt a bit weird but when putting it on my head, it soaped up great! I noticed my head was not as itchy as it was before and if I kept using the product I believe eventually it would remove the itchiness. Really nice product actually!
