General Information

This precious fragrance is inspired by haute couture.
Versace Crystal Noir is based around the gardenia, a flower that is
sweet, fragrant yet subtle. The heart notes take this fresh and crisp
gardenia and blend it with amber which has been purified almost to
transparency for a sensuous and seductive result. The gardenia is
sensual, luminous, rich and almost creamy. Blending it with warm,
strong amber creates a wonderful
contradiction, like two sides of every woman: sweet and sensual,
earthy and sophisticated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique and spicy. Mildly spicy, woody floral but I mainly get the spice, coconut and the wood on my skin, I don't really smell a lot of floral notes. There is some debate as to whether the EDT has coconut as some reviewers have said is isn't there. I smell it so I would say it does have coconut. Still not sure if I love this or not. I like it, just not sure if I love it. It is quite unique in my collection as I mostly have sweet, gourmands, some fruity florals, and floral orientals. This does have some sweetness to it which may be the only thing the florals contribute to the fragrance. If you like spicy oriental type of fragrances you will probably like this one but I would say it is not a safe blind buy.

I will use up the bottle by over-spraying this with sweeter perfumes. I won’t buy this again. My lesson from this experience is to spray test and then walk away for a least half an hour. If I had done that, I would not have purchased at all.
