My sister actually gave this to me to try it out because i had severely dryed lips due to the harsh winter weather and all i know it this product is my holy grail! Carmex never fails to keep my lips supple and they restore my lips back to their beautiful suppleness! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Original and great I first started to use this product only a couple of months ago since I won it in a competition and I must say that this is a very good product and is now up near to top of my list of favourite lip products.<br />It comes in a plastic tub with a metal screw on lid which has its draw backs because I am more likely to use my finger rather than a brush (especially if I am out of the house ) to apply the product therefore infecting what is left in the tub with what was on my finger before.<br />The balm itself is very good and it stays on my lips for hours after application, therefore meaning that the tub lasts longer because I don't need to reapply as often.<br />The hydrating and moisturising effects lasts and I also love the mixed smell of menthol and camphor that it has.<br />I will be very happy to use another one of these after I have finished my first tub.

I was quite suprised when the blister was completely gone within a few hours. Now I use it daily to prevent dry lips. Also, it has a nice gloss and is very affordable. Only problem is it can be difficult to use if you have long finger nails as it is in a little tub.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would probably die without this I'm not even kidding.<br />Nothing else stops my lips from feeling gross and peeling away after a few hours. Even without constant re-application of other lip balms my lips still flake and feel dry and irritated. This is the only thing that keeps them feeling moisturised and leaves them soft and flake-less!<br />There is no real taste or smell which is good because I know none of the product is being wasted on extra fragrances and additives. The packaging can get annoying because it's not as slim as a nice little tube, but I will sacrifice it for the quality of this balm compared to anything else I've tried.<br />Helped me survive winter, and fingers crossed will be around for many more! &lt;3

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Classic and for Good Reason this balm is the ultimate lip treat! whether your lips are excessively dry or just in need need of light TLC, this balm is the best. i love the adorable old school looking tin! a beauty editor actually recommended this to me and i've never gone back to any other balm since. it even leaves a nice light gloss on your lips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practically Perfect in Every Way Carmex really is the Mary Poppins of lip balms - practically perfect in every way. It smoothes, soothes and hydrates with ease, leaving lips looking plump and youthful. It contains salicylic acid to assist with exfoliation and is my go-to balm for rescuing cracked and split lips after exposure to extreme weather. The only flaw with this product is the little pot, which is an issue for some with long fingernails, and isn't ideal from a hygiene perspective, however, Carmex is also available in a tube. This is hands-down my favourite therapeutic balm and it's the one I recommend to my friends and patients.

My review for Carmex Lip Balm Jar has been re-submitted for the 2011 Beautyheaven Best in Beauty Awards.<br />After using Lucas's Pawpaw and blistex, I think the purse size jar that this product comes in is longer lasting. I love the way it moisturises my lips and it leaves my lips feeling naturally smooth. This is also great to apply before lipstick and even lipgloss if you have sensitive lips. Sometimes I get this tingly feeling immediately after applying this product, however, I assume this means the product is working to help heal and relieve sore and dry chapped lips.

For 70 years Carmex has provided people with soft and beautiful lips! For dry lips, Carmex moisturizes.<br />For cracked lips Carmex soothes<br />& for painful cold sore lips, Carmex works is wonder as a antiseptic The menthol sensation also gives me the indication that my lips are on the way to being soft and beautiful! The yellow round put comes with much more then just a product! It has provided me and my family with beautiful and soft lips!

When used regularly it will keep your lips well hydrated soft and luscious. It is economical so much so that I keep pots in my bag, car and at work. Time has proved this product to be excellent.

I was recommended this by a pharmacy assistant when I had sore lips when I was younger and I have used it ever since. I have been through jars and jars of this.<br />It has a slightly cooling feeling when applied and my lips stay moisturised for hours after. I love it.<br />I can see myself using this product for many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from too good to give up I have been using this product since i was a little girl - i recently travelled overseas and this was the first item i packed - it is fantastic for chapped, cracked sore lips - it also helped me when i had my first cold sore a year ago - it is great to help blend lipliners and make a lippy sheer and is definitely suitable whilst in colder temperatures - the smell has never been the best - BUT in saying that i now can't live without it ..

I'm a big fan of the scent and I always have a jar of this in my bag and on my bedside table. It hydrates and soothes chapped lips, leaving them soft and totally kissable ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Lip Balm EVER I absaloutly ADORE this stuff. I could not live without it. I have incredibly dry sore lips from taking a strong medication for my skin. My lips were so bad they used to crack and bleed and were extreamly painful. After trying a few different lip balms to no prevail, my dermatolagist reccomended carmex to me and it is honestly the best lip balm/ointment i have ever tried. The balm is extreamly moisturising and hydrates even the driest of lips instantly. The menthol and camphor medicate your lips and help repair any damage and cracks, it also provides a slight tingle and cooling sensation to soothe any irritation. The salicylic acid is my favourite ingredient as it gently exfoliates your lips and gets rid of the dry crusty layer of skin so that the moisture can penitrate properly. the result - smooth, healthy, moisturised lips. I use this everyday, either alone or under and over the top of lipstick and everynight before i go to bed. I generally use the pot when i am mulling around the house and at night, and take the click sticks with me when i am on the go so i can re-apply without sticking my dirty fingers in a pot.

But i have fell in love, with the fresh tingly feeling it provides whilst nourishing and moisturising my pout. I do find the pot a little difficult to use, it being so small, it could also be a little unhygenic.

I love the way it tingles when it goes on, refreshing your lips. It moisturises really well, leaving your lips chap free! It lasts for ages, even if you use it every day, and it lasts for a long time on your lips too! I'd definitely call it a miracle product! Highly recommended for anyone with lips of any kind, great for ourdoors or indoors, its so versatile!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic!! i had been on roaccutane previously, and my lips dried out horrifically! i was reluctant to use carmex because i thought it was only for cold sores but it is soo so good. my lips were so soft and smooth. feels a little cold when you first put it on because of the menthol (i think?) but you get used to it and the benefits far outweigh a second of cold lips
