Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Holy Grail of lip balms I can't rave about this enough! I only discovered it recently when I went into the chemist with dry and sore lips and I haven't looked back since. My lips are in the best condition they've ever been in since I started carrying this balm everywhere with me, not that you need to reapply it very often. HIghly recommended!

I have since tried several other Carmex products, but would personally still pick the classic. I love applying it at night time before bed. I would wake up in the morning with really hydrated lips and positive results all around. I must admit, there was a bit of tingling at first. Once I got overt that, it was great!

I suffer from dry, chapped lips in winter that can sometimes lead to cold sores. Having some carmex on me ensures that I can treat my lips as soon as they start to dry out. I like this container as it feels easy to apply on the go and you don't have to dig your fingers in to apply it.

I really recommend it and I will buy them again in many other colours. Good for any occasion. Has a very Nice texture. The lip balm last very long time on the lips .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple & Effective For Nurturing Dried Out Lips Yes this simple tube did the job - while away I purchased one of these because, silly me, I'd forgotten to pack a lip balm for my trip. I'd emptied my bag to pack it carefully but then forgot to replace my lip balm. But this basic lip balm was good and it is scent free and simple - no SPF or anything fancy at all. It totally made my lips feel good again and nurtured them to feeling normal after a few days of going without I decided to just buy a balm while on holiday and this is the one I grabbed. It has a simple-feel formula that squeezes out of a little hole in the top of the rounded tube end. I'd better be careful to hide this one or I know my 16 year old will see it and think it's hers because she uses and loves these!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go-to lipbalm! I use this everyday, usually after I have rinsed my mouth or brushed my teeth. The texture is so smooth and easily glides onto your lips. Leaves your lips very moisturised. The packaging comes in a small tube which you squeeze between two of your fingers to bring the liquid out from the top hole. You can easily fit this in the smallest of hand bags so very convenient to take with out with you! The only drawback is that the cap is detached and needs to be screwed or unscrewed on, so you can easily drop it or loose it.

It gently soothes lips and is very moisturising, staying put for a long time. It has a glossy finish and when applied feels refreshing. Ideal for dry or cracked lips and over time with regular use, repairs and nourishes. At a good price &amp; with great quality, I would recommend to others.

It is quite strong when first applied - kind of menthol like. Gives a cold almost tingly feeling but that passes quickly.

How bright and sunny the packaging is, beautiful bright yellow with lovely bold red, very striking. A squeeze tube of 10 grams with a lovely moisturising lip balm, to gently replenish your lips and keep them looking great. Just a gentle squeeze and you apply, you are covered. Handy small size, to keep with you when away from home, the time that you really need some added protection on your lips when in the outdoor environment. Very happy with it, and looking forward to continuing using it.

I recommend this product because its great, the formula is moisturising and smooth, the smell is yummy, the look is glossy and fresh and its very affordable! But... It only lasts about a week, maybe less! Witch is just the worst because I want it to last me a month! I always have my chapstick on me and am using it all day, so the risk of using to much is one I don't want to take and that risk is impossible to avoid with this product! Once you squeeze this it all comes out! - Piper

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective but tastes and feels like thick oily jelly on lips I bought this when I was trying to find a solution for my permanently chapped and peeling lips. I wanted something that is unflavoured, unfragranced and uncoloured. This worked very well in my opinion. I would put this on at night to sleep and this did help to seal the moisture in my lips and helped my lips regrow its protective layer. However, I didn't enjoy using this lip balm because it is just too thick. It literally feels like I've put a layer of grease on my lips and I would wake up in the morning with the same amount of grease on my lips. It was so sticky that I would use a cotton bud to apply the balm. However, I'm still giving it 4 stars because no matter how it feels, it does live up to its promise of conditioning and moisturising the lips. These days, I still use this lip balm, except that I only reserve it for days when my lips are extra chapped and terrible. I would recommend this for people who are not able to find something else to help their chapped lips.

I have always been a huge paw paw fan and I will say that paw paw is still my number 1 go to lip balm but this is a close second It is so convenient and hygienic that it is in a tube so you do not need to use your fingers like you used to with the tub so your fingers don't get dirty and you don't waste product It does give you a tingling feeling when you first apply it but it really hydrates your lips and leaves them shining Great under or over any lipstick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from im obsessed i got this on sale at chemist warehouse and after using ive become obsessed.<br />i use it morning after brushing teeth, and before I go to sleep,<br />i always carry this tube around with me in my bag and apply whenever,<br />i love this in summer as when i apply its cool and menthol-y thingly feeling leaving me feeling refreshed, and it leaves my lips hydrated, and doesn't leave them sticky *not for everyone, some may not like the menthol feeling and this maybe be irritating for others with sensitive skin.

I spend quite a bit of time outdoors at my son's race meets and am exposed to the sun, wind and dehydration when flying. We were away at a race meet and I was desperate for something to soothe my wind burnt lips. I popped into the country chemist and was recommended to try Carmax. The relief was instantaneous and I haven't looked back since.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The sticks are better After trying so many lip balms from so many different brands, Carmex balms are the only ones I have ever truly been satisfied with and would recommend to family & friends. All their products are fantastic and you can't go wrong with any of them considering the formula is pretty much perfected - thus why they are so truly deserving of their #1 lip balm in the world reputation. Carmex is the only product that works to actually heal, repair and re-hydrate my dry, cracked lips, unlike other wax balms which just sit on top The slim Moisture Plus clear or tinted sticks are my favourite, as well as the original. I hate squeezy-tube lip products because they're messy and the applicator always ends up looking gross if you don't clean it right before and after use. This one does have the menthol tingling sensation which my boyfriend didn't like when he borrowed it off me so I'd imagine it's not for everyone. However I love that feeling has it makes my lips feel plumper. The difference with this and the other ones is the consistency of the formula. The other ones always melt onto your lips on touch but on colder days, it can be hard to squeeze product out of the tube because it thickens inside, so you have to roll it between your hands to warm it up, otherwise take a bit out and blend it on your mouth with fingertips. I find it more inconvenient so I wouldn't recommend this one over the others. It still performs on the lips just as fantastically though.

It's great for traveling or keeping in your pocket or bag when you're out as its simple design keeps all the balm inside the tube allowing it not to melt on hot days or in the heat of your pocket. Don't you hate when you have a retractable lip balm and you go to put it on your lips after and hot day but it's all melted and gross? Is it just me? Or does that happen to anyone else? :( anyway so firstly that is a really big tick for me, secondly the balm itself is super moisturising and when applied to your lips gives a slight stingy or tingly feeling, so it feels like it's really working and doing good stuff your lips will love! I mainly use this lip balm at night as part of my nightly routine (cleanser, toner, moisturiser, eye cream, etc....lip balm) before bed but I also take it out with me for quick touch ups if I'm not wearing any gloss or lipstick on my lips that day. The only downfall to this product is that some people like really creamy, silky lipglosses and Carmex is more of a jelly like, sticky product BUT it is STILL just as MOISTURISING and in my opinion feels just as good! the texture and consistency of carmex is basically like petroleum jelly or paw paw but does not contain any of these items. It glides straight onto your lips and soaks in! Your lips WILL love this product! xxxx

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very moisturising I like the tingling feeling of this balm. The applicator is a bit hard to use especially if it's hot and it melts a bit. I prefer this to the pots where you need to use your fingers. It is a good product that moisturises and helps chapped lips. It is a little thick and glossy, but I like it and it's not sticky/too thick. I prefer this to most other lip balms as they dont come close to being as moisturising. The lack of lip tint and colour means it's easy to put under lipstick.

My lips have been unusually dry these last few days and have been feeling tingly in an uncomfortable kind of way. I have used the Carmex lip balm jar before and thought this would be the same. It smells the same but I found the tube version to be less thick than the jar but has the same moisturising benefits. This has a different after taste to it, slightly like citronella. Overall it is quite convenient to throw in your purse and reapply during the day and more hygienic than the jar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pleased This balm comes in a cute, handy little tube that you squeeze to apply while fitting nicely in your handbag or clutch on nights out. I love the feel of this product, when I apply it to my lips, it makes them tingle, which really makes me feel like its working some magic. It has quite a waxy finish, once it has sunk into the lips, making it a perfect base for your lipstick. My lips feel very cool and smooth after use and I don't feel the need to keep applying every few hours, because the moisture lasts such a long time. The tube also lasts for such a long time for its size! The only downside to this lip balm is that is smells Vicks, which isn't the most pleasant scent. I would definitely purchase this product again, but maybe in the cherry or strawberry scent next time.
