General Information

REVITALISING FACIAL SCRUB

Our Revitalising Facial Scrub uses Bamboo Extract and Walnut Shell Powder to lightly exfoliate the skin while removing unwanted dirt and impurities. A refreshing combination of Aloe Vera and Chamomile soothes the skin while Jojoba, Sesame and Rosehip Oils lightly hydrate your complexion, leaving skin feeling clean and smooth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite Good I really like Sukin products - mostly natural products, no animal testing... are all important to me - as well as the obvious impact on my skin. This is a pretty gentle scrub, great for my combination skin. The exfoliants in it are rather small, I wonder how much exfoliating they are actually doing - but it does leave my skin feel fresher and cleansed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best in Beauty I give this affordable little chap 4 stars. I'll be straight up - he's not mind blowing in many ways really, but he does the job well! This is very much a manual sort of exfoliant, meaning not much help from a careful mix of skin-softening chemicals... but more of an elbow grease kind of job... but hey, I can respect that! Very finely crushed (nut shells I believe?) are the exfoliating agent used in this product. Be careful, as you can actually get the odd larger piece in the mix, as I have discovered out of my carelessness! To be fairly honest, with such a sensitive face, my skin can only tolerate such large particles scrubbing against my face about once a week. So this usually leads me to using the product all over my body, which I will point out right now - it is superb for this job. What a wonderful little multi-tasking product this is! I tend to scrub this gently on my face for no more than 20 seconds, focusing on areas such as my nose to try and alleviate some blackhead buildup. The scrubs works moderately well for this. I'd estimate, about half the result you'd get from using a Biore Pore Strip (and well, I don't always have time for those!) I even go in for a quick lip scrub to smooth out the Winter-y chappy-ness (yes I am aware that those words look ridiculous! Just trying to get my point across!) My face ends up feeling so soft, quite well nourished, and amazingly not very dry at all. Of course I still apply oils and moisturizers afterwards, but that's just out of good habit. Another thing to note is that my face, just, looks so much better afterwards. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but it just looks brighter, more awake and youthful. Maybe because I've just eradicated all of the dead bits hanging about! I use this on my body both before tan application and to remove a tan (fake tan of course!) While I think there are better product out there for this specific job (say, a scrubbing mitt), this still leaves my skin feeling gorgeous and soft as butter! The issue I have with it is that on my body I feel like I need to use a lot of product, as when I'm in the shower, the tiniest amount of water in the mix simply disperses all of the scrubby particles and leaves me with nothing to really work with. I see this being amazing as a dry scrub - but alas, I have not tried such a technique yet. But hey, the more adventurous may benefit from this product! Not to mention, the formula smells quite light and refreshing - almost like cocoa mixed with some tropical fruit... Well, that's my nose at least. I'm sure there's a hint of coconut in there somewhere! What stands out to me, is that all of the Sukin products I've tried so far have the same scent, it carries through, totally spot on with their hair products and moisturizers. If you're a fan of the scent, it's a good idea to check out the rest on offer! The scrub comes packaged in a nice squeeze-y container with a flip lid. Thank HEAVENS for flip lids in the shower, am I right? This takes total preference for me over screw caps, and even pumps (my shelving is a bit wonky and my hands tend to slip...). The tube doesn't get too slippery in the shower, even with soapy hands. It's definitely a winner in terms of in-shower use, but I usually keep it next to the sink. So, Sukin! You've done it again with a lovely, affordable product. I recommend this to anyone looking for a face and body scrub that's well within budget and works a treat. With such a large tube, even a little bit goes a long way!

I feel this has the usual smell that most Sukin products have, which is very fresh and clean. I feel this face scrub is much gentler than some of the others I have used because when I use it, I don't feel any harsh nut shells or beads scrubbing my face. This can be a good thing!

When its that time of the month I tend to get a few more, but generally this is a great product!<br />The price is awesome and does a great job for something that costs so little!

My skin feels soft and smooth afterwards. The creamy base makes this product feel much more like a luxury product than is low price point would suggest! I love the herbal fragrance too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Might be a bit gentle for some This exfoliant scrub has a thick lotion-type white base, with little granules of ground walnut shells. The first things I noticed when using this were the strong herbal smell, and the fact that it wasn't very "grainy". I do wish it had more granules in it, as I end up using way more product just to get a satisfying scrub feel. This product is very kind to my skin though, in that it is very soothing. When I use this my face feels incredibly soft and my skin is calm - usually when I use an exfoliant I'm beetroot red for some time!<br />I will probably repurchase this product, just because it is so calming for my skin - I do hope they put more granules in though!

It's a nice, gentle scrub that leaves your skin feeling fresh but not stripped. I prefer something a bit more intense but this would be a good option if you're on a budget or you have very sensitive skin

The concentration of granules is also too low so it doesn't do a good job of actually removing dead skin. If your skin is already very good, then this is probably gentle enough to do the job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good basic facial scrub This is a nice facial scrub that is creamy, not too abrasive that isn't too heavily scented. It's not the most gentle scrub I've used, as you can feel that the walnut shell powder is still a bit 'angular' and you have to be gentle with the amount of pressure that you use on your face. I wouldn't recommend it for daily use. It does leave skin soft without feeling dry. While I am not keen on essential oils in facial products, the citrus and lavendar oils in this formula is very subtle and I'm ok with that. Overall, it's a scrub that does the job. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Natural and organic This scrub is alright. You can feel the particles, and it feels a bit scratchy. I am never really sure if that kind of abrasion is actually good for the skin or not. However, taking that into account, it's pretty gentle. I do like that it's a creamy consistency rather than a gel. I really like that the scrub is natural and organic, and made in Australia - all good things. I only use this 1-2 times a week, as i feel like my clarisonic does the job the rest of the time.

It's rather creamy, which is lovely, but there is not quite enough beads for exfoliating. I feel like I often have to double wash. Rated 3 out of 5 by from A gentle scrub My dilemma with facial cleansers is that many of them tend to either<br />a) products that dry out my skin in its attempts to target my blemishes OR<br />b) products targeted at people with sensitive skin which don't give my pores a deep enough clean -&gt; leading to more breakouts This product is good for my oily yet sensitive skin because the walnut and bamboo grains in it help to clean my my pores (exfoliation) and the cream wash is loaded with moisturising properties which makes sure my skin doesn't retaliate in angry red dry splotches I won't name it as the best facial wash I've ever owned yet, but it's pretty damn good, so give it a go. Like other Sukin products, this facial scrub has a sweet scent, which is kind of relaxing in the shower.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A simple, exfoliating scrub I bought this to replace my St Ives Apricot Scrub after I read the ingredients list and found parabens in it!!<br />At the beginning, I really loved this. My skin felt smooth and comforted. After pro longed use I found myself using it a lot because I loved the smell soo much! This didn't help my skin which is sensitive at the best of times.<br />When I use this now (once or twice a week) I only use it on my jawline and forehead where I have blemishes as my skin itches like mad if I put this anywhere near it. :(<br />Definately would re purchase it though. Just need to ensure I limit the amount of uses per week.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I enjoy Sukin products and was in need of a new exfoliant so thought why not give it a go, it was cheap enough. Unfortunately I didn't find it to be worth the $10 I'd paid for it. Very little gritty feeling to it which didnt leave my skin feeling clean at all. It's quite creamy and I found it hard pressed to feel any of the so called bamboo and walnut that was supposed to be in there. Won;t be using it again.

I find it far too creamy and when I wash it off I don't like the kind of creamy, oily feeling left on my skin. The beads in it don't do much to clean out pores either so I always follow up with a foaming cleanser. Unfortunately this just doesn't seem to clear up my skin so a waste of money really...a shame. Also, I feel the product comes out a bit too fast..though I do enjoy the light, botanical scent it carries. Won't repurchase though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK I love Sukin products and would love the whole world to convert but I must say that after being so excited to try another product by Sukin, I was pretty dissapointed by this scrub. When you exfoliate, you want it to feel like all the dead skin will be removed and is removed. The beads are just not rough enough and maybe its the creamy consistency as well that just does not feel like your skin is being cleaned the way you want it be with an exfoliant.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't do it for me As much as I adore the scent of this product and the gentleness of which it cleanses my face - but it doesn't do anymore that. It is so gentle that it doesn't give my face a deep enough scrub. After rinsing it off, I can still visibly see the dead skin cells on my face. In terms of unclogging pores, I haven't seen any difference in that sector once I commenced and finished using this product.
