Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too sweet for a treat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother bought these for my daughter when she started solids. I was hesitant to let her have them but after having a look at the ingredients and tasting it myself I was happy with it as an occasional treat. Not too sweet so babies aren't getting a taste for sickly sweet food and the sugar content is reasonable. Not particularly nutritious or necessary, but great for a treat for little ones.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not our favourite [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant to try this flavour due to the fresh milk content and a suspected allergy, however, when we did try it, my son enjoyed the texture. I have noticed he prefers other flavours better when they are alone. I do find it is easy to mix into oats for a more substantial meal is an easy addition to my pantry. I like the ease of the packaging.

There are plenty of other brands including generic Coles brands that have no added sugar. Rafferty's has other custards with no sugar! I'd prefer to buy them instead, given its so hard to get bubs brushing his teeth, I don't want to risk their teeth with added sugars in the diet. I've uploaded a different flavour with no added sugar. My bubs loves it and smashes it! We try to save it only as a treat.

We did have to serve it out sparingly though as they wouldnt want to eat it often.

My little one loved this one however I did notice it had a higher amount of sugar than my usual pouches or homemade options. With no artificial flavours or colours I can be assured that this is a high quality product.

Luckily you can keep it in the fridge for 48 hours, which meant we could give it to her in 2 servings. We probably wouldn’t buy again and look for something with a little less sugar

We were having cake and didn't want him to miss out on the celebrations. He loved it and I can see why! There's about four teaspoons of sugar in the pouch which is pretty high. Luckily it can safely be consumed over 48 hours as we felt that was too much sugar to have in one sitting. Nice for a treat!

It’s also important to note that sugar is the 3rd highest percentage ingredient after whole milk and water. That being said, there is no denying it is a popular treat for my toddler who loves it. We occasionally give it as a dessert or when he’s in a particularly fussy mood when sick or teething

I know it's encouraged not to give baby custard but we wanted to try and see what the texture was like. Baby took to it well. But we did find it extremely sweet even without additional sugar. So I would encourage parents not to give bubs too much

My son had this as a treat his first custard ever, as I don't normally give anything sweet to him except fruit. Has full cream milk as one of the ingredients. Can be given as a snack or dessert.

The texture is smooth which is good for beginners and young ones. I found the flavour to be quite strong for babies too

Package size is perfect, custard texture is great and how convenient is the squeeze pouch! I did notice it has quite a high amount of sugar in it and for the age group it's aimed at (6mnths+) that did put me off a little but it is a chocolate custard, you have to expect sugar. As a treat it's perfectly fine!

But it usually takes her a few attempts before taking to foods so we were surprised. The texture is pretty good expect that when you first open and squeeze them, there's an oily like liquid that comes out before the actual custard which kinda put me off..

The ingredients look great and there isn't a load of sugar in them like normal custard pouches. However our son hated it. He just spat it out. We tried heating it up and he still wouldn't have a bar of it.

They normally love anything in pouches and yoghurt etc but neither were particularly keen on this vanilla custard so won’t be buying again. Handy as don’t need to refrigerate and not too expensive for single serves.

My son will eat these but seems to prefer homemade custard, or chocolate custard. They are a great price and very convenient but unfortunately my kids just will not eat them. Would still try again though

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got given this as part of a gift bag but was a bit shocked to see that it has 12.4 grams of sugar per serving. Not sure how a product that is marketed for 6 months olds gets away with this? I couldn't bring myself to give it to my baby and ate it myself. That said - it tasted nice.

I tried one myself and they were definitely not as tasty as I expected. I love the Rafferty's range and have bought countless amounts of their fruit pouches and my son loves them, I think we will stick to what we know.
