Rated 4 out of 5 by from Noticeable results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to trial from BH and have been quite impressed with the results so far. My teeth were only slightly stained from being a tea drinker but I have still noticed a difference in their appearance since using this toothpaste as they just seem to look a bit 'fresher' now than before. This toothpaste has a very strong minty taste and also is a bit grainy in texture which some might feel a bit put off by but I don't really mind. Other whitening toothpastes I've tried in the past have left my teeth feeling a bit sensitive but I haven't experienced the same problem with this one as yet so probably hopefully never will. The red tube is a bit more fancy than your average toothpaste tube and the flip top lid is nice and easy to use rather than a twist top. Overall I'm definitely happy with how this toothpaste works and would be keen to buy it when this one runs out.

The biggest difference I noticed was the flavour. It didn't have a typical whitening toothpaste flavour, it was more subtle. Unfortunately I haven't noticed a dramatic change in colour but I do drink a lot of coffee. The really great thing about this product is it didn't upset my super sensitive teeth one little bit. Even though most Colgate toothpastes are too harsh this one was just brilliant. I would love a mintier flavour and longer lasting fresh breath but other than that I can't complain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grateful to have been asked to review something so practical and an often overlooked beauty area - teeth! I'm undecided about the effectiveness of this product as a whitening treatment BUT I would definitely opt to keep it in my routine for the reasons I'll outline below: - the smell and taste is strong and medicinal rather minty BUT I found my mouth stayed fresher for much longer. I don't remember developing dry mouth or morning breath while using this toothpaste so that's a huge bonus. - I didn't notice the level of whitening I was hoping for from a dentist formulation BUT I am a chai latte addict, and the formulation is meant to be a gentle strength and doesn't claim to be professional strength. Maybe if I gave up the chai I'd notice results sooner. - the packaging is a real winner. Stands out from other toothpastes and generous in size BUT a little hard to squeeze out at the end due to the large end piece. Overall though I like the shape and the fact that it stands up by itself so I'd opt to keep that design feature. - doesn't foam very well which I found disappointing because I like my toothpastes to foam up. Even though it's the actual brushing that does the cleaning job I feel like the frothiness just makes you feel like you're doing a better job as you brush. BUT again, my mouth always felt fresher for much longer with this toothpaste so I was definitely getting a good clean even if I didn't have lots of froth. - the hydrogen peroxide can bleach your towels and this isn't helped by the lack of frothiness. I was always dribbling a bit down my chin and hoping I could dodge it before it bleached my top. BUT I didn't experience any sensitivity or pain when using this toothpaste so I'm happy to use tissues or pale towels to clean up. Other whitening and some non-whitening toothpastes include an ingredient that gives me mouth ulcers. I've never had issues with peroxide so I was thrilled to find a whitening toothpaste with it as the active ingredient. I always prefer to use a whitening toothpaste, but have always had to use the 'sensitive' branded ones which don't really whiten at all. Optic whitens less than I was hoping for BUT it does brighten the teeth up and has so many other benefits that I intend to repurchase it and test it over a longer period. I'd say Optic's results will vary between each individual and it's worth a shot. You might find, like me, that you prefer to use it more so for the other benefits of a hydrogen peroxide based toothpaste.

The packaging is very nice and bright and looks really nice in the bathroom cupboard. It tastes a little bit strange the first time but then you get used to it, it feels slightly warmer in mouth bu he mouth feels clean and fresh. I don't have sensitive teeth so it suited me perfectly and I did felt that my teeth looks whiter and brighter now. It did took it whole 3 weeks to notice any difference in th appearance of teeth but still I am impressed with the results and will keep using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been trialling this toothpaste for the past 3-4 weeks now and have been using it as instructed for 2 minutes two times per day. The taste is a nice sweet mint and not too hot. It is just abrasive enough to polish and brighten teeth but not enough to wear down enamel or cause extra sensitivity. I have sensitive teeth myself and this was gentle enough for me. I actually noticed a difference from the first time using it, my teeth just looked more even toned but the real results were evident after around 2 weeks. I'm a 2-3 cup per day coffee and tea drinker and this was very effective at lifting those slight discolourations caused by the tannins in the tea etc. I would definitely purchase this over and over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BH Trial Team Review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colgate Optic White comes in a red box and a vertical metallic red tube and it looks very simple, but interesting at the same time. It has a flip open lid, rather than the screw on one, and that is always a plus with me! When I tried it for the very first time, I wasn't sure if I liked it and whether it will make a huge difference with whitening my teeth. However, after using it for a little while, I have realised that my teeth are in fact getting whiter and I was impressed. I'm not sure if they are three shades whiter though, but I'm still happy with the results. Colgate Optic White made my teeth and mouth feel clean and fresh, however the freshness isn't typical mint freshness, but it has a bit of a peroxide/chemical sort of taste, so it can be a bit off-putting, however I got used to it after a few days. My teeth felt very clean and smooth afterwards, not something that I expected from a toothpaste that's not gel like. This toothpaste is easy to use and only a small amount is needed to brush teeth and to feel like my mouth and teeth were clean and fresh. I use about half of the amount I would normally use, so I quite liked that, however I think that this toothpaste IS slightly expensive. My teeth are sometimes quite sensitive, but with this toothpaste I didn't get any sensitivity, except for a slight warmness when brushing. Overall, I did like the toothpaste, the packaging is great, it does whiten the teeth, a little goes a long way, but I would love to see a bit of improvement smell-wise, as well as a bit of a price cut.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from whitening toothpaste [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the easy to use packaging, which the flip top lid, which meant no more losing lids, and the tube was easy to squeeze. When I first put the toothpaste in my mouth there was this very strong menthol/chemical taste, similar to mouthwash, but much more strong, and when I started brushing, there was a warm sensation, which I guess were the chemicals working. It wasn't too pleasant, and the strong taste and smell made me gag almost every time I used it. I also found the taste lingering, even after a lot of rinsing, and I felt like I was ingesting the toothpaste, which I definitely did not want to do. However, it did work, and my teeth look noticeably whiter. Of course not as much as a whitening treatment would, but definitely more than regular whitening toothpastes. So I like that it did whiten my teeth, but it seemed very potent and didn't make the brushing experience very pleasant. However, this didn't make my teeth more sensitive at all, so it's definitely not as potent as whitening treatments. And it's just an easy way to whiten, with no inconvenience. This is good for someone who wants to gradually whiten their teeth without going through a treatment course.

Squeeze tubes are so easy, quick flip caps makes for easy opening whilst in the shower with wet hands etc . I am a huge fan of home whitening teeth products , and none have really ever been as noticeable for me as this Colgate optic white . I began using it once a day , along with regular toothpaste as i didnt want to risk any sensitivity , but soon noticed my teeth were feeling fine and switched to twice a day , with out any real concerns . I really wish i had of started using this paste with a photo at the beginning to look back on . My teeth are looking white and bright ! Much brighter then before. The most noticeable being my lower row teeth , which never seem to reach the same whitened level as my top do . I am a huge coffee drinker ,so i can only say , that as far as coffee stains go , there gone ! There was a small down side , this tooth paste was what i call 'spicy' ! A really intense clean with some warmth and that super cool mint freshness . Id much rather the paste didn't have that kick to it , but considering the ingredients , i expected it would . I have tried , pastes , strips , mouth guards and even those blue tight teeth whiteners . Never have i had such quick acting results . The Colgate Optic White , has replaced all of those now !

Love the red metallic shines surface of the box and tube. It stands out! Love the whitening ingredient which is used by the dentist and the most important of all the White flip tube which I really Like. The mint /hydrogen peroxide might be a bit strong for my sensitive teeth on the first of second time but after that my teeth seems to have adjust well with it after a few applications. I will probably drink coffee about 2 to 3 times a week so my teeth has a bit of yellow stain. After using this for a few weeks now, I can see my teeth has slightly whiten. The strong mint keeps my mouth refresh for a longer time which I love.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brightens up my Smile :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this daily twice a day for the past few weeks and it has gradually whitens up my teeth and I've notice the stronger minty taste compare to the normal Colgate toothpaste I've used before. I really like the stronger minty taste as it keeps my mouth breathe freshening for a longer time. When I first receive it I really like the metallic red shines on the packaging. It will definitely attract my attention if it's on the Shelves and I will buy and try it out if the price if affordable. I like that the product itself comes in a form of tube with a flip top which I really like. I keeps the toothpaste neat and tiny after usage. As a coffee drinker, this product it's working for my teeth and whiten it by one or two shades and will definitely buy it again in the future.

I was keen to trial this toothpaste as I enjoy several cups of tea a day and my teeth have a slight yellow tinge. On first impressions I loved the fire engine red tube that has a large flip top lid that allows it to stand on your bathroom vanity. The tube uses the wording “with the whitening ingredient that dentists use* 3 shades whiter teeth” so I was keen to see what results I got. As soon as I started brushing my teeth I instantly found the flavor unlike any other minty toothpastes out there. The taste immediately made me think of my dentist but the taste slowly disappeared. The toothpaste frothed in my mouth quickly and certainly left my teeth feeling squeaky clean and my mouth refreshed. I think perhaps my teeth are slightly whiter than when I first started using this toothpaste so the toothpaste lives up to its claims. Would I buy this toothpaste? I am still on the fence about this as I prefer the taste of the Colgate MaxWhite ONE (but this is my personal preference). If you are in the market for a whitening toothpaste definitely give it a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an absolute caffeine addict so I'm always on the lookout for a product to help counteract the effects my morning coffees have on my teeth. I find that I'm more likely to use a whitening toothpaste than remember to regularly do weekly at home style treatments so I jumped at the chance to trial the new Optic White from Colgate. The first thing I noticed about the packaging (besides the lovely red colour) is that it is housed in sturdy flip top which is my preferred packaging for toothpaste as I find its easier to use. The tube is also thicker than a regular style and I find that it has been easy getting the product our even when coming near to the end of the product. Taste wise it is rather strong, personally I like that. I like that my teeth feel not only clean but very smooth after using it. The toothpaste also 'heats up' a little in my mouth whilst brushing which I also like. I wouldn't say my teeth are 3 shades whiter but they definitely brighter and I can see a difference. I have been using this for the trial for a few weeks now and granted how long its lasted I wouldn't say that $7.99 is unreasonable at all, particularly for a whitening toothpaste. Overall I have been really enjoying the toothpaste, I haven't experienced any extra tooth sensitivity personally and I can see myself purchasing this when I run out. I may use it in conjunction with a stronger tooth whitening treatment for quicker results but I can see myself using the Colgate Optic White to help keep up the results.

First off packaging is great, very eye catching, very convenient with a flip lid not a screw on. Now the taste I agree is different and takes a little getting used to, but its not by any sense awful. There is a heat generated sensation when you brush it feels fantastic! I would prefer a more minty and fresher mouth feeling after the clean but it sufficed. My teeth were super clean and removed any " furry " areas from the back of the teeth. I did notice a brighter smile, there was not a dramatic difference but I generally find it very hard to find a home dental product that whitens well. The other great thing is there was no sensitivity or adverse side effects whilst using this toothpaste. Personally I did like this product, i would buy it on occasion, say a month up to an event just to freshen my smile. But as an every day toothpaste it isn't in my shopping basket.

The white toothpaste is the consistency you would expect from a toothpaste, I like the way it is nice and smooth. I have tried whitening toothpastes which have been quite gritty in the past, not the case with this one. The taste is a bit stronger than usual toothpastes which takes a little getting used too. My teeth are slightly stained from drinking coffee and red wine. This is a gradual whitener as the formula is supposed to be more gentle. After using the toothpaste for a month I have noticed my teeth are about 2 shades lighter. Overall a decent gradual whitening product, after a month of use I still have another good 3-4 months of product left.

I have also had hubby using this for 4 weeks and I'm a big tea drinker and he is the big coffee drinker. We don't always remember to rinse our mouths after a cuppa so with years and years of bad habit we have the yellow discolouration on our teeth. It is a bit embarassing when you smile for the cameras and notice a yellow grin rather than a white one. The Optic White toothpaste contains 1% hydrogen peroxide formula which is suited for every day use. This is the key ingredient in helping those teeth brightened and shine. I like the bright red packaging, speaks of 'Colgate' and the flip top cap is great so you don't get the paste drying out, as it is easy to close. Also the opening of the lip of the tube is curved so you can dispense the paste with minimal mess. When I first used it, I noticed a strong minty taste in my mouth. It can be a bit hard to adjust to at first, but then aftert the second week it was fine. It is definitely a Stronger mint flavour, so it leaves the mouth feeling refreshed and clean. However it does get a little 'hot' on the tongue. So just use a tiny bit if you can't stand the heat! After the first week I noticed my teeth had whiten one shade lighter. So far so good, and it is now the third week and it look absolutely brilliant! I notice this in the video I shot for the trial. My teeth is indeed sparkling brighter. Still have a bit more yellowing to clear, but otherwise very happy with the gradual whitening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a great surprise, 2 months after quitting smoking and I am trialling whitening toothpaste! In short it did as the packaging said, as my teeth a now a few shades lighter. I was impressed with the actual packaging, the design was a lot easier to store in the bathroom cabinet and colour was nicely different too. Be prepared for a very different taste though. It almost seemed overpowering and a bit shocking, as if they had used too much peroxide; however that taste changes after a few seconds and a great clean feeling is left in your mouth in the end. I used the toothpaste exactly as directed, for two minutes twice daily and think I will be going to pick up more soon as I really like the colour of my teeth now. It also made them feel cleaner. The only thing that would stop me from always using this product would be the thought of the amount of peroxide I was constantly using on my teeth and if that was good for me. Overall, from being a long time smoker and heavy tea drinker, it certainly brightened my teeth a few shades.

Looks sleek and stands out to me. It's the type of toothpaste you would expect to see standing in your dentists office. When I first tried the toothpastes I loved the taste, it was different but in a welcoming way. It was pleasant and become my new toothpaste favourite I love the way it made my mouth and teeth feel, which was more fresh and clean than my usual toothpaste. I found my teeth after the four weeks were about 2 shades whiter which I was so happy with. I am a coffee drinker so I know this probably effected me getting a better result. I was so impressed that my teeth were whiter and I didn't get the sensitive pain, I usually experience with whitening products. I was so impressed and happy with this product and would recommend to friends and family. The only issue I have is it's an expensive addition to the toothpaste market which may effect my future purchases of the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been trialing this great toothpaste for a few weeks now and I'm quite impressed with both the experience and the results. First up, I love the packaging. The large flip-top lid is easy to handle, doesn't clog up as quickly as smaller flip-tops, and it stands stable on any surface. The deep red colour helps it stand out from the sea of white, silver and blue on the toothpaste shelf at the supermarket...clever branding, Colgate. The toothpaste within is a slightly grainy-feeling white paste with a strong menthol smell and flavour. I quite like this, but other reviewers have noted their distaste. It's quite different to the super-sweet peppermint or spearmint varieties on the shelves. On starting to brush, the product heats up in the mouth - again, I love this, but others seem to be concerned about it. The foam has a different mouth-feel to standard toothpaste. I find that I am left with a clean-feeling, fresh-smelling mouth, without the weird peeling mouth that some other whitening toothpastes cause for me. The difference in the colour of my teeth wasn't the promised 3 shades, but they're definitely whiter and cleaner-looking. I've been taking photos of my teeth (in the same place, in the same lighting conditions) each week, and there's a slight but definite difference. This is pretty impressive for me, as I'm a daily tea, coffee and diet cola consumer who only brushes once a day (dentist's orders!). I haven't noticed any increased sensitivity. Is this product for everyone? Probably not - the taste and sensation are just that little bit different to what most consumers are used to - but anyone who has previously used serious whitening products won't mind the taste. As sor the results, I believe with continued use, they'll improve for me. My once-daily use has shown a good result, so just think how great it could be with more frequent use.

I drink AT LEAST 2 cups of strongly brewed coffee a day and used Colgate Optic White twice a day with my electric Oral B toothbrush. My teeth looked brighter than before the trial. I wouldn't say it was 3 shades whiter than it claims it could do, but certainly better than with the other whitening toothpaste I regularly use. I'm thinking maybe the 3 shades whiter is the ideal result for non-coffee or red wine drinkers and non smokers. For people like me, it would be more realistic to expect it to maintain bright, white teeth after a professional whitening procedure while still drinking coffee, red wine, and/or smoking. It gives the same clean feeling and fresh-smelling breath than regular toothpastes. It doesn't require any special techniques to use, like leaving it in the mouth for some time, special gadgets, or anything like that. Just use it twice a day like you would with a regular toothpaste. The taste is what gives the toothpaste the upper-edge among the other whitening toothpaste I've tried before. Of course you would expect some aftertaste as compared with REGULAR toothpastes, but for a WHITENING toothpaste, this is the best-tasting I've tasted so far. The delicious mint flavor was able to mask the peroxide fairly well. This would have been my new go-to whitening toothpaste, if it wasn't for the price. I'd probably buy this only if it was on special.

The Tooth Paste comes in a red shiny box and the product itself is housed in a red tube with a flip top lid which is flat on the bottom and allows you to be able to stand this up on your bathroom counter. I must say I did like the packaging as I like to be able to have my tooth paste standing next to my brushes. After removing the foil seal and squeezing out the product I proceeded to brush. I used this three times a day for over a month and the taste was something that I wasn't overly fond of. It was quite strong and had a spicy flavour. It was hard to put my finger on exactly what the flavour was, however while I came accustomed to it I never really came to like it. Colgate claim this tooth paste will visibly whiten your teeth up to three shades and while I did notice my teeth stayed as white as they were before using this, I would say perhaps 1-2 shades at the most. I have my teeth whitened by my dentist twice a year and I would say this tooth paste has kept them whiter for longer and would be ideal for those that do have their teeth professionally whitened. If your after a product that will turn discoloured teeth white by up to 3 shades then I think you may want to try a bleaching product first before using this to keep your teeth looking their best. It won't whiten your teeth overnight, however it will keep them from anymore staining and keep professionally whitened teeth whiter for longer. I would recommend this to people as a product to be used between visits to your dentist, as it did keep my teeth white and looking their best.

I used this toothpaste twice a day as per the instruction. When I tried this toothpaste first I felt it has a strong smell and taste which is slightly overpowering. But I used to it when I started using it regularly. I have been using this toothpaste consistently for 3 weeks twice a day. Within two week I noticed a difference to my teeth by one shade which I thought is quite good. My mouth feels clean and refreshing whenever I use it. I took only a small amount of the tooth paste every time. For the size of the tube it will last for a month. The packaging of this toothpaste is very attractive comes in a bright metallic red tube. The tube comes in a good size and worth for the money. The price of the tooth paste is not quite expensive when compared to the results within few weeks. It really does a good job bringing back the nearly brighter shade of the teeth if used consistently. It worked for me and I'm happy with the results. Overall, I think this is very cost effective whitening toothpaste but it may not be suitable for sensitive tooth as it has a strong smell and taste to it.

For a while now I was contemplating visiting a dentist to get my teeth whitened and this trial opportunity came a knocking on my door and I couldnt refuse! I absolutely LOVED the bold red tube; it really stood out from all the other stuff (read: toiletries junk) on my counter. Even my husband said that you wouldnt miss it. The instructions on the back of the tube suggests brushing twice a day (which everyone should be doing anyway) and results will be noticeable after 4 weeks of use. I have an electronic toothbrush while my husband believes in manual. There is a gritty texture when you start brushing your teeth, which then dissolves into foam. The texture was a little weird to deal with but after a few uses, you tend to get used to it. People with extremely sensitive gums may find it a bit abrasive. It had a pretty strong minty flavour, and I could detect a slight clove-y taste similar to when you've had a procedure done with the dentist. At first, I couldnt see any effect / result from the brushing, but in the last couple of days, I did notice that my teeth are slightly brighter, though not by much. My husband has tougher stains to deal with (he's a regular coffee drinker) and I havent noticed any difference in his teeth. Would I buy this product again? Yes I would. But probably after getting my teeth whitened and then using this toothpaste to maintain the results.

The important ingredient to achieve this is Hydrogen Peroxide. There is a concentration of 1% in this toothpaste. Although a low amount, it is known to still benefit the teeth, whilst being gentle and less likely to cause sensitivity. I love the look of the 110g tube of toothpaste. It is a striking red packaging, which is a stand out look, compared to most toothpastes. The product is simply extracted, via a flip top lid that is easy to open and close, I don't have a problem holding the brush in one hand, and controlling the tube in the other. The toothpaste is white in colour. I just squeeze a small amount onto my electric toothpaste, brushing twice a day, for 2 minutes each application (as per instructions). The taste is quite strong, however I didn't find it unpleasant. I was actually expecting worse, due to the Hydrogen Peroxide content. In no time, I have gotten used to the taste. I took photos before I commenced use of the toothpaste, and looking at them, my teeth have lightened. Now, I have terrible yellowed teeth, so I expected that my teeth were going to take longer than the 4 weeks to whiten. I wouldn't say that my teeth have lightened 3 shades in this time frame. However, there is a noticeable change. For a whitening product, I think $7.99 is very reasonable. After 2 months of regular use, I still have a quarter of a tube remaining, very budget friendly in my opinion. It is worth taking a chance with Colgate Optic White, as I'll certainly be buying again!

Our teeth have become discoloured with ageing and being avid coffee enthusiasts :) At first glance the metallic red squeeze tube is very noticeable. I like that it has a flip top not a screw cap which makes it easier to use. The toothpaste itself contains the same whitening ingredient that dentists use. I also like that Colgate does not put sugar in their toothpastes. The paste comes out easily from the tube and has a slight peroxide taste but this doesn't last long. Afterwards my mouth feels fresh and is left with a minty taste. Unlike other teeth whitening products I have used in the paste, Optic White did not leave my teeth feeling sensitive which was a relief! My husband and I have both noticed a slight improvement in the colouring of our teeth and I think it will improve with further use. Good product and would consider purchasing in the future.

I found that it was effective in removing stains and discolourations. I used it on a soft brush for 2 minutes morning and night and it was gentle enough for me. I love the fact that this toothpaste contains unique ingredients that dentists use. I will definitely repurchase.

As per instructions I used this toothpaste morning and night for four weeks and I noticed that it did whiten my teeth to atleast two shades lighter. I also noticed that the freshness lasted longer than my normal toothpaste. I love the fact that this toothpaste does not contain abrasive particles ( other whitening tothpaste i have tried before do have tiny abrasive particles which in the long run harm your teeth). The colgate Optic White is a smooth toothpaste and the formula is concentrated therefore is really effective in both cleaning and brightening your teeth. Upon application for a few seconds I kind of tasted the hydrogen peroxide in it which smells like chlorine or bleach. it is not overly powerful but a slight hint and then after a few seconds it tastes like wintergreen. I love this taste and feel that it keeps my mouth fresher for longer. I also feel that this toothpaste has thermal properties , by this I mean that the toothpaste feels warm upon application and I quite enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling. I kind of feel that the active ingredients are working to brighten your teeth. I think that this product does what it claims to do brighten and whiten teeth however it is on the pricey range for me. I dont mind buying it occassionaly as a treatment but for a regular toothpaste it is a bit expensive.

The tube is in red colour which differs from their standard white coloured toothpaste. Like the packaging n best part it can sit on my bathroom cabinet. It has strong taste of Fluoride when you start brushing your teeth and then changes to mint flavour after awhile. I can see the difference my teeth are brighter and whiter. My teeth are not yellowish at all anymore. My mouth feels clean and refreshed after brushing. Also feel that the toothpaste becomes warm in my mouth after few seconds of brushing. Not pricey at all. Will definitely buy it as it is better than seating on dentist's chair and going for cleaning and polishing of teeth. Convenient to use at home, do not need to shed extra dollars for same work from a dentist.

The taste is a little different, but I cannot complain about it. It is simply a little different to 'minty fresh'. I was expecting to possibly experience a little sensitivity on my teeth with the use of this but thankfully that was not the case. Honeslty it felt no different to using a normal toothpaste. In regards to teeth whitening I do feel my teeth have lightenend up a little. Not a significant amount but enough for me to be happy with the results. I would say one or two shades lighter. For the price I think this is a great toothpaste and I am happy with the results. Thanks BH for the oportunity to trial this product.
