Directions for use:
- Brush thoroughly at least twice a day, for at least 2 minutes or as directed by your dental professional.

It was extremely foamy throughout the brushing process making it messier than outer pastes i've used. The toothpaste cleaned well but i won't be jumping from my current paste

It does a good job of cleaning my teeth and leaving my mouth smelling and tasting fresh but in terms of whitening my teeth, I really can't see much difference.

I wasn't so keen on the flavour but do agree my teeth felt clean and smooth. I didn't really notice any whitening but my son claims his are definitely whiter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best whitening toothpaste available [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Colgate Optic White toothpaste for years now. I used to work as a dental assistant so I know which ingredients actually work. Colgate Optic White toothpaste is the only one that works as it contains both hydrogen peroxide (to whiten) and silica (which is abrasive), to both whiten and polish off stains caused by smoking, tea, coffee, and wine. This is the only whitening toothpaste I use, however the packaging on mine looks different, like it's been upgraded. It's a bit nicer, and also says "whitens teeth up to 4 shades in 6 weeks" so if you see the newer one, get it as it's much better! I'm an occasional smoker, drink tea and coffee, and don't have the money for any other teeth whitening products at the moment, and this is all I use. You actually see the difference after the first use, and then your teeth just get whiter and brighter. I stopped using it for a while and really noticed a difference! Even if you don't use any other whitening products, you'll definitely see a difference with this! Also ideal in between other whitening products or procedures.

I have been using this twice a day for probably the past 3 weeks. The toothpaste is white and quite a thick consistency. I use this in conjunction with my Oral B electric toothbrush. It has a minty taste which is OK while brushing, however I dislike the after taste even after rinsing thoroughly. It leaves quite a chemical metallic after-taste which is not pleasant. The plus side of this product is that I didn't notice any increased sensitivity especially when the tap water is especially cold in winter which I found to be a problem in other whitening toothpastes. Overall, I didn't notice any visible difference. Based on this, price and taste, I probably wouldn't purchase this in store.

I watched a doco recently about how toothpaste whiteners effect isn’t visible to the naked eye. Only dentists can improve the shade of teeth colours. This toothpaste is no exception. While it does have a nice minty taste and premium red shiny packaging, it does not whiten your teeth to the extent that you can actually see a difference. If you do, it’s privably a placebo effect.

I didn't notice a dramatic change in the colour of my teeth and think I could use a regular colgate whitening toothpaste and get the same results. I still might try using it with the toothpaste and optic white pen to see if I get better results, because overall it does make your teeth appear whiter and leaves your mouth feeling very fresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toothpaste hasn't made an extreme difference but has shown results and feels like a deeper clean and a better option than the usual Colgate I would use and wouldn't go back to the original pastes. I now use Optic as my everyday toothpaste as it does make my teeth whiter and brighter gradually without feeling like I am damaging my enamel. I use other whitening gels in between use.

I drink lots of coffee, tea, and I love beetroot in my salad, maybe that's why I don't see much result. This toothpaste has a nice minty flavor, I think it feels slighter thicker compared to my other toothpaste, it does clean my teeth well and leaves a refreshing smell. I am just not sure about the whitening effect.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, brushing twice a day. I've really not seen any difference with my teeth. This was quite unfortunate, perhaps because maybe it's only maintaining the colour of my teeth as I've been told by dentists that if you are drinking tea or coffee, you will always stain your teeth. sorry, it hasn't worked for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice effective toothpaste [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as part of a BH package and have been using it twice a day with an electric toothbrush and brushing for 2 minutes as recommended, for several months to give a longer opportunity to perform the miracle of whiter teeth. Unfortunately I have noticed very little improvement, though my teeth no not appear as yellow as they originally were. I am over 60 so this could make quite a difference given the many years of drinking tea, coffee and red wine which all do stain teeth even with diligent brushing. The taste and freshness after use is very good so I would recommend just for brushing regularly and younger teeth would most likely notice more positive results if this is used regularly on discolored teeth.

Once I stopped using it, and went back to my regular toothpaste, I noticed the difference that the Optic White Toothpaste did made. My teeth just didn't look as white as they were whilst using it. I don't drink coffee/red wine so my teeth aren't super stained so I feel like this toothpaste just seems to 'brighten' my smile. It doesn't make them movie star white. I use it once a day - usually in the morning, and regular paste at night. It is nowhere near as minty as normal toothpaste (it has an odd sensitive toothpaste type taste) so I use it in combination with the optic white mouthwash. I especially like the 3 day version.

I don't drink tea/coffee/red wine or smoke, but I have very light yellow discolouring on my teeth. I've given this toothpaste a go for about 5-6 months, and I'm just not justifying the results. Not three shades light as claimed anyway. The tube comes with a large flip-top cap and the formula is slightly sticky and has a strange taste (hard to describe, but slightly bitter) that doesn't taste like a normal toothpaste. It foams up well, and sort of 'bubbles'. I may consider repurchasing again in future after a break.

I drink a lot of coffee and tea (oh the hard office life) and my teeth could be whiter. As much as i've used this toothpaste morning and night and it definitely feels like it gives a good clean it doesn't actually seem to be whitening my teeth greatly.

I've never had my teeth professionally whitened or used whitening products at home. I just didn't want to bother with another addition to my daily routine. The reviews on this site sounded promising and decided I'd give it a try; I wasn't expecting miracles as it was a toothpaste, not a major operation. It said you would see whiter teeth in just three days but I didn't. I've been using it for 11 days now and I think there is a slight overall lightening. I'll keep using it until it's finished and then review it again. I like the bright red tube; it's inviting and the fact that it can stand up makes it easier to store without having toothpaste marks all over the bathroom counter. It doesn't foam up like other toothpastes which I love and it leaves my breath feeling fresh and cleans my teeth effectively.

So I was a bit hesitant buying Colgate Optic White toothpaste when it came out. I was shocked! First of all, it didn't taste bad and the packaging is so attractive! But it took a while before I saw any difference but at least it worked. I now use this toothpaste together with the Colgate Optic White toothbrush + Built-In Whitening Pen and it is incredible! I will keep using this product. Not only is it working, but it is also cheaper than dental whitening by the dentists

The overall flavour wasn't to overpowering, left a minty tasty i which lasted a little while. After about 3 weeks I had noticed a shade difference in the colour of my teeth but that is about as far as it went, even when using it twice daily. I loved that the cap allows for the tube to stand upright, and the bright red on the tube absolutely screams Colgate.

Great taste and leaves mouth feeling clean and fresh. I think I notice a slight difference in the whiteness of my teeth after regular use but not as obvious as I was expecting. I think there's better whitening products out there but this does have a nice taste to it for a daily use.

I was grateful when Beautyheaven sent me Optic White as part of my Best in Beauty prize package. It's a great way to introduce myself to teeth whitening. I used Optic White for about a month, and I wasn't certain whether it had made a difference or not. I usually use natural toothpastes, so I was concerned about absorbing some of the chemicals from Optic White, so I stopped using it. After some time had elapsed, I noticed that the yellow tinge on the front of my teeth had returned. I could see that Optic White had made a difference; although a subtle one. I am now going to keep using Optic White, but I will alternate it with my natural toothpaste. I am also going to buy Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Built-In Whitening Pen and see which product I prefer. Using Optic White did not increase my tooth sensitivity. Other reviewers have mentioned the taste of this toothpaste being an issue. I agree that the toothpaste doesn't taste great, but I've tasted worse things, and any bad taste is temporary.

They are definitely a bit brighter and have lightened maybe one or two shades, if you are expecting to get amazingly white teeth though, I wouldn't get my hopes up with this product. When I first starting using it I felt like it was cleaning my teeth a lot better then usual toothpastes, but now nearing the end of my second tube my teeth don't have that nice clean feeling you look for after brushing. A good product but unsure if it is good enough for me to go and purchase a third tube.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Whitenes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colagate Optic white comes in a bright red toothpaste which is a large container- each time I buy this it lasts me 2 months plus with darily twice a day use! The optic white comes in a decent sized tube, after use for four weeks I still have half the tube left so a good buy. Firstly the positives about this toothpaste- it does work- within a two week period my teeth are much whiter and shinner! There is a difference of my teeth whitening! I really like the effect. Whiter teeth! On application it has a strong strong taste that can at times be overpowering and strong, as well as warming in the mouth, and can leave a strong taste. Its very very warming in the mouth. I found it quite overpowering but after a week I was use to it. I I can see that this toothpaste's taste and power would be too much- especially for sensitive teeth- wouldnt touch it if I have sensitve teeth! The optic white toothpaste foams up a lot and so I found it hard to keep brushing for the recommend time- but I keep trying and was able to do so. Negatively, toothpUnfortunately this aste doesn't protect against cavities, and I think it leads to a little more sensitivty if your prone to it. I also wish that this product had better protective ingredients and claims- Im looking for something with protective ingredients for enamel and protective against cavietes. Overall this tooth paste lives up to its claims of whitening teeth, but I would purchase this- Maybe every 6 months or for a special occasion for a brighten up but not regularly.

I find that it tastes nice, foams up really well in my mouth and gives it a good clean. As for the whitening I haven't noticed a dramatic different but my teeth defiantly aren't any more stained so i'd say its done it job. I would repurchase this product again but it is quite expensive as tooth pastes go.
