General Information

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best face mask ever!!! This mask has done wonders for my face!!! It really helps nourish and moisture my skin and makes it feel amazing!!!! You don't have to use much to make it work and really helps clear blemishes!!! It dosen't smell very pleasant but I can deal with it because it work so well!! It is really affordable and great to travel with!!!! I ushally only apply it once a week and that is usually all I need for it work really well!!! Best face. mask I have used!! It really helps with my oily face too!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from there are so many reasons to buy this! I have normal-dry skin so not really the type you would think needs a clay masque. I do however use heavy sunscreen in the weeks after my tca peels and therefore my skin is quite oily during this stage and I have trouble getting typical cleansers to remove this sunscreen residue. Why I chose this product is that it is 100% Australian made and owned! So rare! There are also claims it is a natural product, no animal testing and no animal products. What more could you ask for? It is a very fine clay texture, grey in colour and I deducted a star because, quite frankly, it stinks - just like cod liver oil. Really my stomach was turning as I sat there for the full 15 mins they recommend you leave it on. You first dampen your skin, apply it to the areas you choose then wait 15 mins and rinse off. After rinsing your skin does not feel stripped and dry, it feels healthy and clean. I liked that. If the smell was better I really would have given it the full 5*. Now I put cotton in my nose before applying and it's not so bad that way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well but can't stand the smell!! I prefer Sukin's Sensitive pink clay masque and their coconut and coffee exfoliating masque. The smell of this one is terrible!!! Works well, but just can't get past the smell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Mask - Pro's Natural and Smooth Texture I have been using this face mask occasionally, but it doesn't have the wow factor that other face mask's have given me. I love Sukin moisturiser's and serums but this mask is average. I prefer the Natio Natio Clay and Plant Face Mask as it absorbs excess oil and I can see difference after use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not suitable for sensitive skin The clay is light grey and the texture is slightly creamy, Hence, it is easily applied to my skin. I have a normal type of skin and I can feel a light ticklish once applying the clay to my mask. Thus, it is not recommended for those who have sensitive skin. The clay smells like almond. I did not notice any changes to my skin yet, however, it does leave the skin soft after using it.

I had a bit of a problem with this mask, it was more difficult to take off than some of their other clay masks, required a lot of scrubbing. For even a while afterwards, my face was very dark red, darker than sunburn and even almost purple on my cheeks. I originally hoped it was just because of the scrubbing, but even a few hours later it hadn't lightened much. This mask did soften my skin and reduce my pores just as well as their other masks, so i can't fault it in how well it worked otherwise. I am unsure if this is an allergic reaction or not as there is no pain, just a mild radiating heat (afterwards) . Perhaps this is just part of the product working but to be on the safe side i would not reccommend to those with sensitive skin. You can do better Sukin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dries out Blemishes This mask has all the goodies in it. It is a great quick clay mask that dries in 5 minutes but can be left on for longer. It can be a bit of a mess to wash off but it made my skin feel soft and helped dry out any blemishes i might have. I also found that my skin was tingling while drying and left my cheeks slightly red. I used a whole tub of this and didn't notice any great changes other than smoothing my skin slightly and drying out blemishes. Overall, if you do not have sensitive skin or dry skin, this would be a good product for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drying face mask I love Sukin, so I figured I'd try the new greens range. This mask has a thick texture but it easy to apply a good layer on your face. I usually leave it on for about 10-15 minutes as per the instructions and remove it with a washcloth. The reason I only gave it three stars is because I didn't find it detoxified my face. It drew out oil rather than impurities, and left my face feeling like it was screaming for moisture. There are surely better face masks out there. It also has a very fruity smell which I'm not the biggest fan of, so skip this if you're not a fan of strong smells.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sukin super green's detoxifying clay mask The product's claims: Kale, spirulina, parsley and chlorella offer a super green blend of detoxifying antioxidants and vitamins to promote healthy, youthful skin. Avacado and baobab lock in moisture while goji berry encourages a dewy complexion. About the product: Very thick in texture, off-greyish green in colour. Beautifully scented with cranberry being the stand-out fragrance of the mask. Not artificial smelling or offensive at all, it is light and pleasant. The fragrance does not linger long on the skin at all; once the mask is washed off the fragrance isn't detectable. The mask does not harden, tighten or go stiff as it begins to dry as most clay masks do; this mask becomes a bit powdery as it dries. My thoughts about the product: I found the mask to be a bit hard to apply as the texture is so thick. It can be a little hard to smooth a even layer over the skin. I love the berry scent of the mask, it smells quite fruity and pleasant which was a pleasant surprise. While on the skin it felt quite soothing, moisturising. I left it on for the recommended 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water and a facial cloth, following with a hydrating mask afterwards. I found removal of the mask quite easy, warm water and a facial cloth will remove it easily without any harsh scrubbing. Does it deliver on the product's claims: Yes it does. After rinsing off the mask, the skin did look brighter and somewhat healthier. It does lock in moisture, and won't dry out the skin. As for it's promise on a dewy complexion, in a sense yes. It does leave the skin looking radiant, brighter, feeling soft. What let's this mask down is it's so thick in texture, getting a even layer can be a bit fiddly. Other than that it does do what it promises and is a good product overall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basic mask for variety I've used this product for a while and have repurchased although I'm not sure if I will continue to do so. I find that I never finish the jar before the PAO (period after opening) of 6 months is up, so I use it for a while after that and still end up throwing the rest out. I use it once, every other week, for something different in my skincare routine. The clay is quite thick and old school, where you paste it over your face and sit around the house looking like a zombie. The scent is technically cranberry, although it reminds me of the cherry cough medicines I used to have when I was younger. It's not unpleasant but not inviting either. I get a distinct tingle and cooling sensation when this is on my face, but nothing that makes me feel concern. Once it is dry, I wash it off and my skin is hydrated and smooth, almost as if a slight oil or moisturising ingredient remains. The scent also remains...yeah...but then eventually fades. I personally have moved toward the current trend of using fabric masks as these feel more luxurious and indulgent. Whereas this clay masks feel a little functional. I will say though that it is far cheaper than fabric masks and there are chemist sales on Sukin products quite regularly. For the budget conscious you can also manage how thick you apply this to get more uses out of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells amazing Starting off, I have blemish-prone dry combo skin (dry forehead and bridge of nose, oily chin and skin around nostrils, and normal skin everywhere else) I bought this masque to help ease some congestion I was having and to just 'clean up' my skin, seeing as I was having a break-out issue. The masque seemed to be a good fit for me, as it says it is suitable for all skin types The masque itself is a grey-green coloured clay based masque that is housed in a 100 mL screw-top jar with an inner pull up lid. The formula is very wet and easily spreadable and smells absolutely incredible if you ask me. It claims to be a cranberry scent - it's just very sweet and zesty smelling. I love it I left the masque on after applying to clean, damp skin for the specified time of 15 minutes. The masque dries down almost clear and hardens quite a lot, making it difficult to move your facial muscles. I removed it with a warm damp face washer. After removal, my skin definitely felt like it had a good clean. Really refreshed but not stripped dry. It didn't seem to remove any black heads though Although there's nothing really wrong with this face masque, there's nothing particularly fantastic about it either that would warrant me repurchasing it. Apart from feeling refreshed, my skin wasn't 'glowing' or 'dewy' like I had read on the packaging. I'm left feeling fairly impartial about this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from tub is almost empty! This mask is honestly pretty amazing for its incredible affordability. It's natural and chemical free which is always a plus and it doesn't feel like it's clogging your pores like a lot of other masks.<br />It doesn't feel too heavy on the skin and for me there's an obvious decrease in redness and oiliness on my face. BUT It hasn't really helped with my blackheads and redness and oiliness usually comes back after 2 or so days so use regularly!<br />It comes in a tub so not the most hygienic of packaging but still manageable<br />When you put it on it does freeze your face for a while

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average product First of all, I must say I love sukin's products as they are affordable, natural and free of chemicals. I received this as a gift from a friend and was very excited to try it out as i'm a huge fan of clay masks. The scent of the mask is very strange and earthy at the same time but I got use to it after using it multiple times and the colour was this light grey colour and it had no beads or granules, just plain grey clay mask paste. I must say i'm not a huge fan of the packaging. It is very unhygienic and I find is unsanitary when you put your fingers in the jar to scoop the product out everytime you use it. The application of the product was a bit difficult to apply as it was like very cold butter and it was a hassle trying the smooth it evenly around my face. Although it was hard to apply, the mask gave me an instant cooling effect which was perfect back in summer. The mask dried into a dry and flaky texture after 5 minutes and washing it off was such a long process. It was like taking a shower in the sink to take all the clay that stuck onto my skin which wasted a lot of water :( It left my skin feeling soft and moisturised which i'm really happy but it is still not as good as my other clay masks as it didn't seem to do anything about my blackheads. I will not be repurchasing this product sadly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Made no difference I really wanted to love this! I love Sukin, and I love the idea of a clay mask for my oily blemished skin. But this did nothing for me. I applied it to clean, damp skin as per the directions and wiped it off after 15 minutes, but my skin felt exactly the same afterwards. I gave it three stars because it was very gentle on the skin and I loved the smell. The smell is really familiar to me but I can't figure it out what it is! Can anybody help me out? haha One other thing about this is I couldn't figure out how thickly it was supposed to be applied. I tried a thin layer the first time I used, and then applied it thickly the next time (no difference). I found it quite difficult to build up the thickness of the mask for some reason.
