General Information

An all time favourite at Sukin HQ is our Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub! And not just because it's our scrubiest Facial Scrub, or the amazing sweet fruity scent, but because it leaves the skin so soft and glowy! It blends detoxifying Kale, Spirulina and Parsley with natural Jojoba Beads and Bamboo to polish the skin, leaving it feeling smooth and free of impurities. Added Pineapple and Licorice Root Extracts assists to balance excess oils and tone the appearance of skin! TIP: After exfoliating, lightly pat in the Super Greens Facial Recovery Serum for extra hydration and nutritional goodness!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from April Discovery Bag I have very oily skin, with large pores on my nose and cheeks which are prone to clogging so I was really excited to try this product. The product comes in a dark green flip top tube which makes it easy to stand up on vanity table. The scrub has a fine grainy texture, there isn't a very strong scent which I like and you only need a small amount for the whole face. I have been using this scrub every day since I have got as I find it's very gentle on my skin and so far no issues. Since using this I have noticed my skin has a nice glow to it, it feels a lot smoother, my pores are looking smaller and my skin isn't getting oily as before. For my skin I have found this to be a great product but for other it may be to drying for the skin as it contains alcohol which is 5th on the ingredient.I would recommend to use a hydrating moisturizer after using this. For the price it's not a bad product.

It provides a gentle exfoliation to sensitive skin without leaving dryness and contains many natural ingredients deemed to benefit for the skin. I did not see many results or changes to my skin whilst using this scrub. The price point is excellent and I love Sukin as a brand but this product just did not perform for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok... I really wanted to love this product. I bought it during Priceline's 40% off skincare sale. I loved the sound of the ingredients and had heard great things about the Sukin brand, plus I thought the packaging was quite nice and it was affordable. The product is a creamy white consistency that it not too thin, but not too thick either. It has very fine micro particles for exfoliation. I usually use the St. Ives Apricot facial scrub, so I am used to using a scrub that is very gritty. This product is not. It does not have as many exfoliating particles as the St. Ives scrub and is nowhere near as gritty. This means that it is more gentle on the skin, which some people may prefer (especially those with sensitive skin). I could get past the fact that it wasn't as gritty as I would have hoped, and decided that it would be a good product to alternate with my St.Ives scrubs for days that my skin needs gentle exfoliation in the morning. The one thing that I cannot get past is the smell... I had read reviews prior to buying this product that described the smell to be fruity and refreshing and like berries. I can see where the berry idea is coming from, but it smells too strong and artificial for me! Especially for a more 'natural' product, it smells far too much like chemicals! I have kept my tube of this in the shower as I do like that it provides gentle exfoliation and does leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed in the mornings. I just have to hold my breath when using it so that I don't become too sensitive to the smell!

You only need a pea sized amount and it takes you a long way. Kale, spiirlina and parsley for glowing complextion. I find it non abrasive and non drying. The smell was pleasent and not over powering . it has a faint cranberry smell which is not over powering . The price is reasonable and its Australian ☺

Rated 3 out of 5 by from discovery bag The sunkin super greens detoxing scrub cones in a green lightweight long tube with a flip top lid. This is a mechanical exfoliant with large and small beads. I was expecting this to be green but it was a white based scrub with large and small beads. For me I only needed a small amount -5-10cent piece was just enough. To me there is not much of a smell but if anything its a cranberry and herbally smell that is gentle and uplifting. As a lover of scrubs and a skin that suffers from congestion and large pores I looked forward to trying this. I found this scrub on application to the skin quite harsh and rough. You can feel the large beads- jojoba in the formula - and the smaller beads- the bamboo- feel smaller and harsh. The bamboo beads are more grainy and felt to me a bit like sandpaper. This scrub for me needed to be applied on damp skin and with this I found it easy to spread and rub over my face in circular motions, concentrating on congestion in my cheeks and chin. Although to me this was harsh I didn't end up with sensitive skin, dry patches or irritation. Having used this three times, I'm quite impressed with the result. After use I have to admit im left with glowing skin and my pores seem a lot smaller. On touch the skin feels soft and does look clean and refreshed. I suffer from blackheads due to my love of makeup and have to say that this helps with them, that said most do. Pineapple extract, licorice oil and lime peel are added and claimed to tone skin and balance oil and I think this does a good job in the way of this. My oil is elimated from my skin, post use, however I have to admit my combination oily skin craves moisturise after this. Thus I have to apply a oil or hydrating product after. I think the mechanical exfoliants in this can be quite harsh. I do like the result on my pores- the mila and blackheads are cleaned out. I'm also not sure if kale and chorella actually benefit the skin- I'd prefer to eat them for benefits.Now the detoxing scrub contains vitamin k, a and c which is impressive for its antioxidant protection but this product also contains alcohol as an ingredient which almost wipes out the benefit. Such a shame for a natural product. I'd like to know why it was needed. Thus combined with jojoba, bambo, lime oil and licorice this seems to be a bit of a confused scrub. I'd avoid this for sensitive skin due to some of the ingredients. Overall this was a OK product to use. It cleansed my pores and gave me soft fresh skin which I like. That said I prefer chemical exfoliantion and found this a tad bit harsh. I think this product would be great for those with super oily skin and perfect for teenage skin with acne. Sunkin is Australian owned, and im impressed that this product is 100% carbon neutral. Also 100% vegan, contains no sulfar or parabeans. That said just remember its not certified organic. A decent product for the right skin type.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value face scrub by a great Australian Company As I am in my forties I am very cautious of any products that have 'scrubbing beads' as my skin can be very sensitive and delicate. So it was with trepidation that I trialled the Sukin Detoxifying facial scrub that is part of the new Super Green range. The scrub comes in a 125mL flip top squeeze tube which sits beautifully in the shower for easy access in the morning. The packaging does not state how often you should use the product so I have been erring on the side of caution and have been using it every second day. There are two types of exfoliating beads - micro jojoba beads and ground bamboo. When using the scrub you can feel the different types of beads - the jojoba beads are larger and more coarse whereas the bamboo ones feel like very fine sand. The fragrance is very faint but fresh and once I have rinsed my face it feels nice and smooth. Although my face doesn't feel stripped of moisture like similar scrubs leave my face, my skin still craves moisture after using this. This is why I tend to steer clear of scrubs and prefer to use chemical exfoliation on my more mature skin. The price point is very attractive and with it being Australian, 100% vegan and carbon neutral it will appeal to a very broad cross section of the market. Well done Sukin.
