This shampoo left my hair feeling clean- not as squeaky clean as I usually prefer, but still got rid of excess oil buildup and product. The best part was that it didn't dry out my hair so I was relying on conditioner to fix the damage. I think this shampoo would be great for people who wash their hear frequently because it is so gentle but still leaves a clean feel.

I have long and thick hair, and most shampoos do not leave my hair soft and silky, especially towards the ends. Also, my scalp gets really oily after 1-2 days of not washing, but this shampoo helps maintains and reduces the oiliness that my hair usually creates. So far, the shampoo is working great !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was selected to test Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo for the Beautyheaven trial team. By the time I was vigorously rubbing this creamy, viscous liquid on my head, I was beginning to wonder whether this was actually a shampoo and whether Palmolive had made a big oopsie, packaging the product wrong... So I decided to leave the conditioner out for the first trial. Sure enough, my hair was clean... Squeakily so, and a bit dehydrated, too - so don't use this without conditioner! But seriously, when I shampoo, I want a good, heady (pun intended :) ) lather that I can build foam hats out of, not a flat, pancake like head of hair. I was slightly disappointed! However, it did clean my hair, and it did leave it nicely fragranced, which is what shampoo should do, right? So I suppose I shouldn't complain. I just like bubbles. :( The bottle was easy to use and the shampoo smelled lovely - a nice, fresh citrus smell. But I can't help but wonder about the scepticism people may feel, surrounding whether or not the shampoo is working, how much to use, (whether it is actually shampoo), etc. Nice try, Palmolive, but I think you can do better. :) GIVE ME MY BUBBLES.

When used in conjunction with the shampoo, my hair felt wonderfully smooth and soft to touch. If you're wanting more hydration for your hair, definitely look to try out the conditioner in this version. The bottle comes in a green, attractive bottle which is very useful to handle in the shower without the hassles. The scent overall is fruity and sweet which again makes my shower experience quite pleasant. I love how there's no overpowering scent to using this conditioner which is a good thing to consider when shopping for a conditioner. The conditioner looks to do a solid job in smoothing out my hair and making it feel softer for longer. I am quite impressed with the formula because it doesn't leave my hair feeling oily.

The bottles are green and white and look nice next to each other. The shampoo is a white pearly colour and is easy enough to dispense. It easily builds to lather without difficulty and I found I only needed a small amount to do the job. On occasion I like to double shampoo but I found one wash was all that was enough to leave my hair feeling clean and fresh. I had no real issues with tangles and found my hair was easily manageable. The fragrance of the shampoo is fruity, which is pleasant. I found myself smelling the product on my hair throughout the day. I have fairly fine hair and did not have any issues regarding volume or frizz. Overall I really felt this product hit the mark.

I have used both the shampoo and conditioner together for nearly 2 weeks now and found that it was average. There were some positive and also negative. For reference, I have thing, straight black hair that is fairly long in length. To start with, the product smelt very good – it left my hair smelling very fresh and fruity all day. It also cleaned my hair very well, so after use my hair did not feel oily or sticky (I squeeze about the size of 10c coin, and generally wash it twice). I also particularly like the new nourished ingredients that are apart of the product. Another thing was that the shampoo did not irritate my scalp. The negative aspect was that the product left my hair feeling very flat, I didn’t get that nourished bouncy hair feeling which I do with some other products. Because I already have straight, flat hair this definitely didn’t help it.

After using the shampoo along with the conditioner for a couple of week now my hair is well nourished and hydrated. I have dry and frizzy hair, but after using the sahmpoo my hair was really soft, smooth and less frizzy, which I love about the product. I took a single squeeze of the product and applied all over my hair and left it for a few minutes before I washed it. I have medium length hair and it did wash away oils and dirt, leaving my hair very clean in a single wash. The shampoo actually didn’t feel heavy at all. My hair felt very light and wavy with less frizz comparatively making it manageable all day. The consistency of the shampoo isn’t too thick or thin, it has the right consistency, making it easy to squeeze out of the container and applying all over the hair. The shampoo has a very mild, refreshing, fruity scent and it is not overpowering at all. The packaging is a very convenient to use and comes in an attractive green tube. The tube dispenses the right amount of the product. Overall, I love the shampoo It lathers up very well, has a pleasant smelling scent, great value product, perfect everyday drug store shampoo.

I got to try this as trail and wasn't sure of it at first, as preferred my usual shampoo, but after a few uses I was pleasantly surprised. When my hair is a little dirty I did find I needed to give it an extra wash, but using as a daily wash (or if your hair doesn't get very greasy) I only needed to wash it once. It is a thick white gel shampoo and I found it easier to use evenly if I rubbed it over both hands first before applying to my scalp. It lathered up well with a silky texture and my hair felt soft and clean when rinsing out. It has a nice gently fruit smell to it which does last through the day. It comes in a different shape bottle to the conditioner so it's easy to identify which is which in the shower. My hair feels nice, soft, clean and light and it is gently on my scalp. I like that it has natural ingredients and fruit vitamins and my hair does feel healthier and shiner after use.

The eye catching conditioner gives it that natural look considering that it is using aloe vera and vitamins why not they are used for so many things why not hair? The shampoo should last as you don't have to use much as it lathers well. In fact I found using the shampoo once and not repeating the washing process twice did exactly the same job. I found it nourishes my scalp which can feel dry after dyeing my hair. In fact it seems to suit grey and dyed hair which can be uncontrollable, it seems to smooth and make it manageable which is excellent. My one big problem with the product is that's it's not made in Australia and I'm all for kneeling Aussies working.

I have used Palmolive products before but I don't think I can ever remember using their shampoo or conditioner. Nevertheless, I didn't really have any expectations one way or the other about how it was going to be. The shampoo came in a green bottle which seemed quite plain to me but when it comes to shampoo I don't really care much about packaging. It is suggested for normal hair, which I do have. The shampoo was creamy with a refreshing scent that smelled like green apples. I could feel that my hair was clean but still really soft at the same time. It didn't strip my hair of moisture and I could run my hands through my hair. As an everyday shampoo I think it fits the bill as it cleanses the scalp and the hair properly while still providing nourishment.

It is not to strong or harsh that tears roots out of your scalp - which I had an experience with pantene - and the solution is strong enough to remove all the oils from your scalp. This is very refreshing especially on a hot day or after workout when you need all the gunk to come out of your hair. When it is air dried, there is no sign of dry hair but clean yet smooth hair. The only issue is that I realise I have to use up to 5 squirts of the product to get the job done and needs to be washed very frequently. Nonetheless it is by far the best shampoo I can find.

I think this is what makes it clean well and it removes dandruff too (even though this isn't the main selling point). The smell of the shampoo is really sweet and lovely. I always use shampoos in conjuncture with their respective conditioner and I thought the conditioner was very lovely too.

I have it currently in my bathroom & the teenagers in the family have been using it a few weeks now, along with the conditioner. I too have used it a few times. Hair looks shiny, feels soft & smells great with regular use for all of us. It's also excellent value for money, I bought a jumbo size with pumps for around $5 a bottle. If you're after a value for money shampoo & conditioner range for normal hair, this is perfect

Lovely consistency, lovely smell and I love the way it makes my hair look when I rinse it out. Just because it doesn't give off that artificial extra smooth feeling when washed off like some of the rubbish shampoo's out their give doesn't mean it's not good - it means its not packed with chemicals which are harmful for the hair. Even though your hair does not feel smooth upon washing it off, it sure does when it's dry! And it looks healthy too because of the fruit vitamins within it. :) Well done palmolive.

I'm a 'wash my hair as infrequently as possible' kind of person and the reason I'm not big on this shampoo is that I find my hair (mostly the roots) starts to get greasy as early as the morning after. Shampooing twice helps this issue a little, but I'd honestly prefer to just try another product. Some people really enjoy this, so I think that perhaps its just not for me.

I found that it is a good value, basic shampoo that does what is says. It is not for those tht have specific hair issues, but id you are just wanting clean, soft hair, I think this is a good choice. The smell is fresh, can't pinpoint exactly what the smell reminds me of, rainforest or something plant-fresh. The consistency is quite thick and is easy to lather and move through the hair. It rinses out easily and doesnt leave my hair too dry. I wouldn't use this as my go-to and I would probably alternate this with a more specialised one in between. The price is great and I think it is a solid supermarket buy.

Before I switched to sulphate-free shampoos, I used to occasionally buy this shampoo in its previous formulation, and I really liked it. The reformulated version of this shampoo is good for such a budget price, but its formula doesn’t suit my hair now. My hair has become much more dry. Also, since I grew my hair long, it has become very prone to tangles. After using this shampoo, my hair felt drier and a bit knottier.

It gave me two days' worth of a trial - which probably isn't long enough. I noticed that the smell is lovely and pleasant. It is definitely and aloe vera herbal scent, but subtly fruity as well. It isn't overpowering and won't clash with your perfume. It was easy to apply - not to thick, and not too thin. It stayed on my hand when I went to apply it to my hair. It was also easy to rinse out. Unfortunately I noticed that it didn't control the frizz that my very fine, long hair gets, that my usual shampoo is able to control. That was despite using another hair product that usually works beautifully. The ends of my hair didn't feel as nourished either. But the good news is that my scalp wasn't irritated, and I didn't get any flaky skin!

This shampoo wasn't really for me. I will say that my hair felt clean after using which was good. Also I like the scent... It reminds me of the smell of citrus fruit tree flower. Also consistency is good - not too runny so it's easy to use. Plus you don't need to use lots - it lathers well. But, unfortunately my hair felt quite dry after using. I'm putting this down to the fact that I have bleached blonde hair which tends to dry and frizz if I don't use a really moisturizing hair shampoo and conditioner. So I don't think this one is for me.

It came in a sample satchet split in two for what I assume would be two uses. The scent was quite strong but pretty. Very Fruity. The shampoo didn't lather very well for me and I could immediately feel even before drying that my hair felt more brittle and basically stripped of all natural oils. Definitely a deep cleaning shampoo and maybe not as natural as the packaging suggests. When dry my hair was nicely scented but felt a lot stiffer and less moisturized and soft than usual. I love that aloe vera is in the ingredients and the scent is amazing but my hair needs a gentler, less stripping shampoo.

I don't use Palmolive normally as I find lots of 'supermarket' shampoos leave my hair very heavy. This shampoo smelt beautiful- I loved the scent. I didn't need to use much (and I have long hair). My hair definitely felt clean and soft afterwards and it was easy to brush. It probably got a little oilier quicker than normal. It is a very inexpensive shampoo that does what it says. However I will probably stick to my usual shampoo :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by maggieball from Good general shampoo though not exactly natural [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The use of the word “Naturals” in the name of this shampoo is something of a misnomer. It’s no more natural than any supermarket brand and contains quite a few ingredients like ammonium laurel sulphate (ingredient #1), water insoluble silicones, and synthetic perfumes that are decidedly unnatural. That said, it’s a reasonably good overall product if you’re looking for a readily available budget priced daily shampoo and aren’t too fussed about avoiding SLSs, DEAs, and other chemicals (I do make an effort to at least minimise them, because they’re in so many products that the collective use could be quite high). The shampoo does actually contain some nice ingredients too like Ginseng Root Extract, Milk, and Cocos Nucifera Oil (cocoa butter?), and it does do a good job (on my dry hair at least) of leaving it clean, reasonably conditioned (when used with the conditioner), and not too frizzy. I find the scent a bit strong for my liking like fruity gum (juicy fruit?), but the scent doesn’t linger and is gone by the time your hair is dry.
