Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good average conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Parmolive Aloe Vera Conditiner is definitely value for money, it meets all expectations for a budget hair care product. The bottle is large & slimline which makes it really easy to use in the showe and doesn't take up much space my small shower rack. The conditioner is a nice smooth consistency and it's really easy to work though your hair. Once my hair was rinsed and dried it was left feeling soft but a few hours later I did notice my hair felt a little heavy and felt like there was a bit of a residue left over.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nice affordable conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this conditioner to trial and was very interested to see how it would perform on my curly, fine hair as it is prone to feeling dry on the ends most days. Unfortunately I didn't find this conditioner to be hydrating enough for my hair type and after using the matching shampoo my hair was straw like and quite difficult to comb through after washing. I found that I needed to use a lot of leave-in conditioner afterwards just to make sure my hair didn't frizz and didn't feel too dry. It does have a lovely fresh scent and would most likely be a great shampoo for anyone who has hair more on the normal side than I do but it's not one that I can use on a regular basis.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks BH for the Trial Team opportunity. I enjoyed the trial very much because I find this conditioner is a great product for its price, definitely value for money. But if you're looking for a conditioner that really moisturise and nourish your hair, this conditioner might disappoint a little bit. It does an okay job for normal hair but for my hair type I needed something more nourishing. My hair doesn't feel silky smooth after each wash. Lucky the conditioner smells nice and fruity leaving my hair smells fresh and clean. This is something I really like about it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Standard conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not normally purchase Palmolive hair products, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The tube is huge and you get more product than other conditioners, and for a lower price too, so it's quite good value. The tube was easy to manage, and the packaging is attractive. It smells nice, fruity and sweet, but not overpowering and the smell doesn't linger. However, this just wasn't my favourite because I really like thick, hydrating conditioners. I like to leave my conditioner in for a few minutes before rinsing off, but the texture of this was on the thinner side so it wouldn't stay in my hair like other conditioners. My hair felt alright afterwards but was not particularly soft, and when I felt it was more damaged from the beach, this conditioner really didn't help. I didn't feel any improvement over time either. So this is a good standard conditioner, and great value but I just prefer much more conditioning products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Refreshing & Deep Cleansing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner are a refreshing & deep cleansing duo. With a fresh aloe scent, these products are perfect for summer and gentle on my sensitive skin on my scalp that has been a little bit ravaged by sunburn. The packaging is fairly simple, but the bottles are a good size and provide amazing value for money. I didn’t like the conditioner as much as the shampoo as I found it a little sticky in consistency and while it left a glossy finish, my hair did become greasy after 24 hours, meaning I would have to wash my hair every day. I would still recommend it as a cost effective deep nourishing treatment – it could act as an extremely cost effective hair mask! – or just be a better fit for someone with dryer hair than me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment conditioner is a decent conditioner. The conditioner bottle is the same size as the shampoo bottle, which is great value for money. The conditioner and the accompanying shampoo have a strong fake smell, which is weird since they both say natural on the bottles. The smell stayed on my hair for quite a while after using them. When I used this conditioner my hair was unfortunately not as soft and smooth as when I use my usual conditioner. My hair looked as shiny as it normally does. It was a bit more difficult to style my hair because it was not as smooth as it normally is. I am very happy I got to try the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment conditioner and shampoo, but I am going to continue to use my regular ones.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo lathers up nicely and leaves my hair and scalp feeling clean, however my hair does feel a bit stringy until I have followed up with conditioner. The smell is pleasant but not overpowering, which is a change from the usually potent perfumes from Palmolive. As I wash my hair quite regularly over summer I will continue to use it to ensure my salon products last longer, however wouldn't swap to it on its own as I don't feel that helps protect my fragile locks. I have very long, wavy, bleached hair. However, for someone with hair in better condition than mine it would probably be fantastic! If you're looking for a cheap shampoo and conditioner and have fairly healthy hair then give this a go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value for money [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to recieve this as part of the trial team. As I have long, wavy, dyed hair I always opt for salon quality products as I have found that cheaper brands leave my hair in poor condition. However I was pleasantly surprised by the Palmolive range. The conditioner has a lovely scent that lingers but isn't overpowering. I found the consistency a bit runny but it did spread through nicely and helped to easily detangle my always knotty hair. I used this 3 times a week for the last few weeks and have found that there is a bit of build up. As I wash my hair quite regularly over summer I will continue to use it to ensure my salon products last longer, however wouldn't swap to it on its own as I don't feel that helps protect my fragile locks. However, for someone with hair in better condition than mine it would probably be fantastic! If you're looking for a cheap shampoo and conditioner and have fairly healthy hair then give this a go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the smell [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After opening the bottle of shampoo I was taken back by the lovely fragrance of the shampoo and couldn't wait to wash my hair. I was happy with how well it cleaned my hair but I was hoping for more smoothness. But other then that I was very happy with this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another great every day conditioner but lacking in moisture [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed the conditioner much more than the shampoo in this range. It really does leave my hair silky smooth and glossy. Unfortunately, the effects of the conditioner don't last too long, possibly a day at best. I find that the apple scent is also more appealing in the conditioner than the shampoo. The formula of the conditioner is quite similar to the shampoo but is a little runnier. I personally prefer thicker conditioners but this one worked well too. It didn't weigh down my hair or feel oily, rather I felt that it wasn't very nourishing and I found myself using more conditioner than shampoo. I think that this is quite a nice conditioner. Like the shampoo, most people would find that it is quite pleasant to use as it is a very general product. It's great for every day purposes if you have normal hair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not nourishing enough for my hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the packaging of the conditioner and I like the colour. It fits comfortably in my hand and it's a generous size which will last a while. I found the smell to be fruity and pleasant and not overpowering. I only apply conditioner to the ends of my hair and unfortunately once my hair was dry it didn't feel as soft or smooth as I would have liked. Although it's meant to be a nourishing conditioner I found that my hair felt a bit dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Trial Team Review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Beauty Heaven and Palmolive for giving me the opportunity to trial Palmolive Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner. For reference I have fine, oily hair that is coloured. The shampoo comes in a green slimline flip top container in which the shampoo disperses easily. The conditioner comes in a squeezable flip top tube. The shampoo and conditioner have a fruity/apple scent which my daughter commented on that she thought it was too strong. The conditioner felt nourishing and left my hair tangle free and easy to manage. It rinsed quickly and left a fruity fragrance in my hair throughout the day. My hair felt squeaky clean and well nourished after use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great everyday product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently tried this, it's a brand I haven't used in a long time. I was quite surprised. After using both the shampoo and conditioner together my hair felt soft and clean. The condition had a plesent smell and coated my hair well, leaving it soft. After my second wash my hair was a little frizzy and static. Lucky styling my hair overcame this. Over all a good product for a regular use. I have long thin hair which can be difficult to look after. The product didnt out do my regular but I will definitely keep it in mind if I am in need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Refreshing scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the shampoo, I had high hopes for this product. The bottle is different to the shampoo as the lid is at the bottom - this is actually what I prefer. I find it makes the product easier to dispense. It has the same fruity scent as the shampoo and it is long lasting, as it claims to be. I find that on the second day, I can still detect a hint of the frgrance. The conditioner is quite thick and easy to apply. I have quite thick hair so I used a reasonably large amount. It has no specific instructions regarding how long to leave it in for, so I left it in for the same amount of time as other conditioners (3-5 mins) before rinsing. I found that my hair did not feel that smooth, or conditioned compared to other supermarket brands. The reason I am giving this product 3 stars is because I did not find it to be particularly hydrating or conditioning. It claims to be 'nourishing' but I do not feel this is the case. It didn't make my hair particularly shiny either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Detangled and smoothened . . . a little [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a conditioner, this product half did its job to smoothen and detangle my hair. I felt like I needed to use copious amount to make it do its job, and my hair didn't really feel to great after rinsing or drying. The packaging was sensible and normal - upside down spout - and the product came out a pale, milky colour. It didn't smell too bad, although not as pleasant as the shampoo. The product more or less did its job, but my hair was frizzy after drying (which my current shampoo doesn't do) and it really didn't make my hair feel nourished at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Silky smooth [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this was a good basic conditioner, it came it a nice large bottle and was a great smelling product. It felt quite thick which i prefer in my conditioners. I typically put condition in my hair and leave it for around 3 minutes before rinsing. After washing it out and drying my hair i did notice my hair was smoother which i enjoyed. Overall it is a nice conditioner and compliments the shampoo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Left my hair feeling soft [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This conditioner has a lovely fresh fruity scent and leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturised. After washing my hair with the Palmolive Natural shampoo I apply the conditioner to the lengths of my hair. I have quite oily hair so I never actually put it on my roots as I find I only need it from the mid length down. I found this conditioner easy to apply, it is in a nice squeeze tube with a flip top lid. The texture is creamly, perlescent and easily squeezed out. Maybe a little on the runny side but that made it easy to spread through my hair. I have been using the conditioner daily after shampooing and have found it to keep my hair soft and moisturised. It didn't make my hair slippery and shiny like some conditioners do but it did leave my hair feeling nourished. I allow my hair to air dry naturally and haven't experienced any frizziness or flyaway hair. This conditioner was ok, certainly not my favourite but for the price it is very good value and does the job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An OK, low cost Conditioner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner as part of the Trial Team. I have rather fine hair which is fairly normal but can tend to be oily at the scalp and dry at the ends. After using this conditioner along with the 'matching' shampoo for the last few washes I have found that it is an ok supermarket conditioner but I don't feel that it was amazing. I appreciated that the shampoo and conditioner bottles are different shapes so that it is quick to identity which product is which. The conditioner smells similar to the shampoo and I feel like it smells like a household cleaning product. It didn't seem to hang around in my hair throughout the day which was a relief. When used with the Active Nourishment conditioner I have found that my hair is clean, not weighed down and not too dried out. My hair feels soft and with some body but not amazing and not well nourished. If anything it might be a little drying over time for me. These products contain a lot of ingredients with long names and numbers so, sadly, I feel like the 'naturals' part of the name is a bit of a gimmick. I will finish using the bottles of the product but I'm not sure that I would buy it again. It is ok for the price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smooth but sticky [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Palmolive Shampoo & Conditioner as a part of the Trial Team. I have used both the shampoo and conditioner together for nearly 2 weeks now and found that it was average. There were some positive and also negative. For reference, I have thing, straight black hair that is fairly long in length. I am pretty generous with my conditioner and squeeze about the size of a 50c coin and leave it in my hair for about 2-3 minutes before rinsing off. I only use the conditioner on alternate washes, and whilst the conditioner helped me achieve very smooth hair which didn’t tangle after washing so was very easy to comb. The conditioner also did not irritate my skin. However, the downside of the conditioner is that it does leave a very sticky feeling that takes some time to get rid of. I will not be purchasing the conditioner again as I did not like the feeling and it was an important factor for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this conditioner in conjunction with the Palmolive Naturals Active Nourishment Shampoo and I noticed that it leaves my hair smooth and light and that's it! Like the shampoo, the conditioner has a nice fruity scent that I love and it also has the right consistency but I wasn't totally impressed by the results as it doesn't nourished and hydrated my hair enough. I was expecting something better as it has aloe vera extract which is said to bring a lot of natural benefits to the hair but mine wasn't that great after using this conditioner and shampoo. The price of this product is extremely affordable for a big 350 ml bottle.
Date published: 2016-01-07
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this conditioner for about 3 weeks worth of washing and found that it just didn't do enough for my hair to exclusively use it in the long run. Like the shampoo I really liked the scent and the fact that it didn't leave my hair feeling like it had any residue left after rinsing. However, on its own it just didn't have enough hydration and didn't help enough with tangles which made me feel like I was tugging my hair while using it at the ends. After drying my hair didn't feel as silky as when using my regular products. If your hair is naturally tangle free and silky I think this is a good product as it is gentle and won't harm the condition of your hair, and it comes at a great price in a good size bottle that's easy to use in the shower.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Hopes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trial arrived at the perfect time as the weather has been warming up, my hair has become much dryer thanks to the beach and I needed some TLC asap! Besides the eye catching packaging, I loved that the shampoo and conditioner both lathered well and I couldn't detect any scent. The texture felt lovely and was super easy to wash out and initially, my hair was left feeling clean, shiny and super soft. HOWEVER, the next day it reverted back to it's coarse self - noticeably dryer too which was disappointing. I wished it left my hair feeling silky smooth for a longer period!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better than the shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my previous review of the shampoo, I mentioned I didn't like it. I disliked the scent and how it lathered. While the conditioner is supposed to have the same scent, it differs quite a bit. Its not as strong and has more of the fruit scent than the aloe, which is more appealing. The package comes in a soft plastic tube with the flip top lid opening at the base of the tube. again it doesn't take up much room in the shower or cupboard. I didn't have to use more or less than my usual conditioner and it left my hair soft and well conditioned. It wasn't bad. I would recommend it for everyday family use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells devine! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent of this conditioner is TOP NOTCH! really lovely scent and the overall packaging it easy to handle and squeeze without any hassle. The consistency of the actual conditioner is very thin and runny which Im not a huge fan of. i prefer to use a thicker conditioner as i feel i get a better hydration. However it did comb through really easily which is a bonus with my freshly bleached hair that still feels a little straw like. I did find that the results didn't last after i got out of the shower unfortunately. The soft and smooth feeling didn't seem to hold at all. Over all a decent conditioner if you are after something on the more budget end but not something that i would rave about.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing i notices abou this product is the scent. It smells lovely and fresh. The consistency is quite runny and felt like i needed a lot to cover my hair. The conditioner left my hair smelling nice and shiny, but it wasn't as soft or smooth as i am used to. I like the products for budget friendly option but will continue using my regular shampoo and conditioner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks BH for the trial team opportunity! I generally use Head and Shoulders shampoo with a natural conditioner to offset the dryness, though Palmolive has become a bit of a household name for Australian families I believe. I have used Palmolive products before and found that they can leave my hair dry and not so moisturised. This conditioner performed the way I expected it to, the smell was also of the generic Palmolive variety. I think as an everyday conditioner it does the job fine but I'll probably stick to my regulars and I was not overly impressed with the conditioner. It isn't as moisturising as you'd expect when it's in the name of the product. The smell lingers in your hair after it's dry, which can be a plus if you enjoy the scent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine basic conditioner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This conditioner left my hair feeling pretty clean and soft - I just let it air dry and it manages my wavy/flyaway hair well. It comes in a big green bottle and is quite good value for money. It has a nice fruity smell that is a little intense but doesn't linger for too long. I'm not sure how 'natural' it all is, despite the branding, but It seems like a good everyday conditioner.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Smelling Hair for Everyone! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is a typical conditioner, makes your tangles easier to remove. However this product smells wonderful! It keeps your hair smelling fresh and feeling silky smooth. The packaging is easy to store and has a lovely vibrant colour. Super easy to use, squeeze excess water out of your hair after shampooing and then apply the conditioner! The whole family can enjoy this conditioner as it gives your hair a nice, not overwhelming smell.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the fence [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this conditioner recently in conjunction with the shampoo of the same range and didn’t like how it left my hair. I felt that it was inferior and left my hair feeling really gunky however I put it aside for a few weeks and used it again recently and it left my hair feeling really soft, even a little fluffy so I am on the fence about this range now. I would recommend to anyone who is after a good cheap conditioner that will leave your hair feeling really soft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up on special a few weeks ago, and at first it made my hair really smooth, but afterwards my hair began to get some buildup. It smells fresh, and it is thick and creamy, but I wouldn't use it each day. I think once every 2-3 days is good. It also has a tendency to feel a bit slimy as your washing it out from your hair, but it does make your hair feel smooth. I think this would be better for people who don't have dyed or coloured hair, as my hair needs extra care as well since it's highlighted. My hairdresser also noted to me that supermarket brands build up sulfates to much in dyed/highlighted hair, but I thought I'd try it anyway since it had natural extracts. If you don't have dyed hair, it would be good for you.
