Rated 4 out of 5 by Vanessa F. from Deep Cleanse The Pores [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These do what they claim and deep cleanse the skin - a very handy product for keeping the pores clear of excessive sebum and hence blackheads caused by too much sebum that then has oxidised at the surface of the skin making the head of the pore look black. Great for areas at the nose area which is what these are specifically made for. They are easy to use - and very effective. They make the skin look and feel cleaner and I like that Biore has diverted from the ordinary original strips to add charcoal which is scientifically great for purfication and cleansing. The only thing it's harder to see the evidence on the black strip whereas the white strip it was easy to see the stuff that had been taken away from the clogged pore. Nevertheless, my skin is proof enough itself because the area felt cleaner, looked cleaner and felt nice and smooth too. The charcoal does seem to have an after effect on the skin to product less oil for a time after using them too. I like that these have an after effect. I can recommend these for deep cleansing the pores, as promised on the front of the box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leonie C. from Nice clean pores [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve previously used the Bioré Original Pore Strips and found them effective so I was keen to try the Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips to see if there was any noticeable difference. I don’t really need pore strips and only use them when given to me to trial but I do find them interesting and satisfying to use. The strips come in a pack of 6. As always with a product such as this I like to carefully follow the instructions so I don’t damage my skin. So after cleansing my face, wetting my nose and applying the strip I waited 15 minutes for the strip to dry and harden. Then came the hardest part for me – carefully peeling off the strip – but by ensuring I started at the edges and pulled slowly towards the centre I had no trouble at all. Okay, I couldn’t really see any gunk but my nose was incredibly smooth and my pores were almost invisible. So, obviously using the pore strip did something and I’ll continue to use these every so often. I don’t think these are any different to the other Bioré pore strips I have used.

I have to admit, nose strips have never been part of my regular skincare routine but after using these, I think I will be adding them from now on. They are simple to use & so effective. I couldn't believe how much gunk was stuck to the strip when I peeled it off. Being black, it was very evident how many blackheads it removed along with all the dry, dead skin. My nose was left feeling and looking smooth & clean. The only down side is that you can clearly see where the strip was & makes me wish the strips were bigger so they covered more surface area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, there's nothing quite as satisfying as using one of these to clear your nose pores of the build up of sebum and blackheads! Make sure that your skin is damp, but not too wet, prior to placing this on your nose, and leave it there for about 15 minutes prior to peeling it off. When you do, make sure that you lift a corner and slowly move it away from the skin. This way, you can ensure that you are actually remove the sebum etc, and unclogging your pores. For someone who has a great skincare routine, it's gratifying to know that that I don't have much hiding in my pores, but sadly, it's not very satisfying for me. That said, though, my other half certainly doesn't have the skincare routine that I do, and let me tell you, that definitely removes from his pores! It's very satisfying to look at, and I'm definitely keeping a stash in the house as a regular thing!

I have seen these types of products around however I have never used anything like this before. The strips are very easy to use and the instructions are very clear. I found them quite comfortable to put on and wear for the instructed time limit. When it was time to peel off, I did peel off quite quickly so next time I will probably just peel it off slowly for better results. I am not sure how good these are for your skin so I will probably use these for special events or going out at night! I probably wouldn't use these every day or week. I have an oilier t zone and have sebaceous filaments and when using these strips they became visibly reduced. I did enjoy using these and will definitely repurchase to have in the cupboard!

This product is simple to use, lightweight and can be worn whilst multitasking around the house or whilst doing other activities such as reading ect. Using these kinds of products can be really fun and relaxing whilst feeling cleaner and your best afterwards. Due to the colour of the pore strips your able to see all the gunk that comes out of your pores which is grossly fun and disturbing at the same time. I do recommend these pore strips as the box is small and easy to store as well as the product itself is simple but effective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Greeny81 from The joy of the result Ok, so even though it’s pretty disgusting, the joy of seeing what has come off you nose after peeling it off is weirdly satisfying and also shows you they are working They are easy to use - wet mode, peel from backing and place on nose and wait. Once time is up, peel and check how much muck has come out of your nose. Also, check how soft your nose feels!! Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because I prefer the white ones.

It applies the same as the original ones and peels exactly like the original ones. To me, its exactly the same so there's not really a need for these but they're still fun to use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Miss19 from So satisfying Pore strips are great for removing blackheads and congestion that has been building up in your pores on your nose and around your cheeks. I don't use them too often but when I do they're so satisfying to use. They keep my nose and cheeks feeling so clean and soft. It's gross to see what actually comes out but it definitely feels so good. Using it is quite easy. I wet my nose a little bit and then place the strip on top. I then add a little bit more water on top of the strip so it's damp and so it will stay on my nose. The strip starts to harden right away and it starts to feel tight. After about 10 to 15 minutes you have to gently peel the strip off. This is the part where it tends to hurt a bit and it can feel uncomfortable but once it comes off you can see all the stuff it took out. If your skin is prone to blackheads and congestion then these strips will really help out! I like to use a salicylic acid toner after using these strips to keep my pores clean. Each pack contains 6 strips so you can use it once every week or every two weeks. I find that these are no different to the original strips so either one would work fine.

I bought this product because the original white biore strips that I bought were absolutely amazing so I had higher expectations for this product bit it wasnt as good. Although if you have pores that aren't that bad this product would most definitely work alth9ugh my pores are really bad so it did not work as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Peony_Pearl from Keep blackheads under control Steaming my face and popping on a Biore pore strip is a regular part of my skincare routine to control blackheads. The packaging has easy instructions to follow. I like to supercharge the procedure by light exfoliation with baking soda before steaming my face to open up the pores. Removing the strip is uncomfortable and should be done slowly but the gunk it removes makes it worth it. Apply a pore refining toner to close up your now squeaky clean pores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty_please from Harder to use but more effective I use the Biore pore strips, either the traditional or the charcoal one, after I steam and exfoliate my face, in this way they work great to clean up congested pores. If I use these strips without steaming and exfoliating first they are not as effective. That being said no pore strip I have ever used is as effective on unprepared skin. The charcoal strips take a bit more practice to apply well to the face, too much liquid and you make a big mess but I think they are more effective than the traditional strips.

I use this face wash every morning and afternoon. It gives me healthy smooth clean skin. But not sure about it keeps skin moisture well. Because my skin feels a little bit dry after using this face wash.Need to apply a good moisturiser after using this face wash. I would strongly recommend this for oily skin. The bottle came with a clear pump bottle. I got a 200ml bottle. But i prefer it will come as a tube. Because I only need a very small amount of face wash to clean the whole face. When I am pumping lots of face wash comes out. It has the right consistency. You can actually see the charcoal colour. The smell was nice it mix with the charcoal smell. It has It foams like soap when you rub your hands. Easy to apply and wash off. It does cool feeling effect on my face. It does not clog pores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kimmybeauty from Super effective for clogged pores I had been using the original pore strips for years and while they were just ok, once I tried the charcoal deep cleansing pore strips I was hooked. These bad boys really do what they're meant to. They are so effective in clearing those clogged pores and you can literally see everything once you've taken the strip off. They're inexpensive and easily accessible. Definitely worth a shot if you struggle with clogged pores and haven't had too much success with the original Bioré pore strips.

I have used the original white Biore pore strips for years however recently saw these Charcoal ones on the shelf and HAD TO buy them. I got my husband involved and we both did them over the weekend. I am ashamed to say that my pores had so much more crud in them than my husband's lol These are definitely satisfying to peel off and do a really great job!

Rated 4 out of 5 by melanie-suzette from You can ... see them These are similar to the original product but I guess in retrospect you never really can tell if one strip type is pulling more dirt from your pores than the other if you don't keep the strip for comparison, and let's be honest, why would we keep it to compare I have a love hate relationship with these pore strips. The pros are that they are black and essentially when it pulls the dirt and clogged sebum from your pores you can get a good glimpse of the gunk you're pulling out. They don't stick too hard that you feel like you're ripping off your face to remove them. The cons are they don't feel as though (for me) they stick well enough on the sides and always leave so much residue even when I've left it on until after paper mâché to the touch. The part that connects to the top of my top never really seems to pull stuff out either. In any case, you win some you lose some and it's great that they are so inexpensive that you win some more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pammie2083 from Makes your skin feel clean I tried this deep pore wash and at the same time I also purchased the Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar as I wanted to try both products. This product made my skin feel very soft and smooth and it also has a little tingle when you wash (but I know not everyone like this). Whilst my skin felt fresh, I didn't necessarily feel as though it made a massive difference in breaking up the dirt in my pores, but I did feel very fresh.

After a shower I applied over my nose, and waited around 15 minutes until it had hardened. Easy to take off (I've had issues in the past where a different brand really stuck onto the skin it hurt like crazy). Straight away i could see the results. My nose was smooth and you could visisbly see there were no blackheads or gunk on my nose. I have fairly oily skin and will continue to use Biore, especially if they are on sale, its an inexpensive at home treatment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tigerlily from Grossly satisfying I am a big fan of the original Biore pore strips but had to try these as these contain charcoal which is very popular at the moment and is in everything even toothpaste! These are very much similar to the original Biore pore strips. The best way to use this is to wet your nose and the sides of your nose beforehand. Remove the plastic backing strip and careful apply to your nose taking advantage of the slits so that the strip fits to the contours of your nose. I leave the strip until it hardens, usually 10 mins or so and then quickly remove the strip in one go, pretty much like removing a bandaid. In a weird way I like to see how much gunk has been removed, and always am a little disappointed if there's not much haha. I don't see much difference from using this version to the original even though it costs more. May be it will be more beneficial for oily skins which this is targeted at (I have dry skin). Nevertheless, it is worth a try and see whether it may work better for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Herikadrizzle from Better than other nose strips I have combo-dry skin with the usual breakouts, so the standard blackheads on the nose and a zit or 2. I have used pore strips periodically. This has better adhesive on the skin than the plain Biore variant and takes out a fair amount of "hair follicles" because that's what they are. That viral black pore strip is just torment on the skin, and might give you broken capillaries in the end. What pore strips are effective in is exfoliation. If you want to get rid of blackheads, use AHA/BHAs.

With regular use, I found that this product significantly reduced the look of my pores and even tightened them. This charcoal cleanser is very smooth and lathers nicely. Overall, I have found that this product has reduced the number of break outs that I get. However, I do find this product to be a bit harsh on the face as it completely strips all the oils from my face and have found that it is very important to apply a light moisturiser to my face after using this product to avoid any excess oil production.

It did what it said and it stuck pretty well. It doesn't hurt until you pull it off which is to be expected. It left quite a bit of black residue but it washed of easily. And it seemed to take out a fair amount of blackheads and general gunk. So I think it did well but you nose feels very dry afterward.

I love pore strips, I am almost addicted to them lol there is nothing more satisfying then seeing your congested pores, whacking on a pore strip and watching it pull those gross bad boys out of your skin! I have been using Biore pore strips for years, I saw these ones on special today at Coles and thought I would give them a try and I have no regrets they are even more amazing than their normal strips I also use an exfoliator first to get off any dead skin so I get the best results from the strip, I then steam my face (I have a facial steamer but you can use hot water) to open up my pores and then I apply the strip for 10-15 minutes or until it goes hard and then remove

I am someone who has transient acne, it comes and goes as it like. I decided to try this product out to see if it would help reduce the blackheads and whiteheads on my chin Right after the first use my face felt very clean and "cleansed', it left my face feeling fresh and deeply cleansed. I used it every night for 2 months. Although it is a great cleanser, it didnt do much when it came to reducing acne breakouts. My chin looked pretty much the same I use it now on days where I feel like I need a deep cleanse or when I wear makeup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amy912 from Cleans all the dirt off your face I've been using the biore pore strips for years now and they work great for removing all the dirt and gunk out of your pores. The charcoal ones work the same as the original pore strips and I don't really find any difference in them. To effectively remove the dirt out of your pores I recommend opening the pores up before hand using a hot steamy towel to get the most effective results.

I've starting using these strips on my chin too which actually work just as good as on the nose! These are definitely my go to for a quick fix or when I feel my blackheads are getting really bad! As others have said, there isn't much difference between these and the originals except you see more of the gunk on the black strips!<br />It's a weekly staple for me and I will keep doing so!
