Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great cleanser I first tried this cleanser as it claimed to clean out pores, something I really need help with. When I first applied it, it lathered up to a nice gel and once I applied it to my wet face, I felt a cooling sensation and my face started tingling ( in a good way). The next morning, my blemishes were cleared and my acne had relxed. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks, like most cleansers, my skin adapted to it, and I no longer felt the tingling, or noticed any changes to my skin. I also found that it doesn't remove all my makeup, and I normally have to go in with my cetaphil oily skin cleanser before to ensure all makeup is removed. But I have seen a fantastic reduction in blackheads on my nose, so it does clean out your pores! I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have sensitive skin and needs to get rid of some pesky blackheads.

While I found this cleanser to be stronger than my regular cleanser it provide a really great, deep clean without leaving my skin feeling dry or stripped. As an oily skinned girl, I found using this cleanser daily for the time of my trial definitely helped control my oiliness and control the blackheads around my nose and cheeks. I liked how the cleanser was foaming and left a tingling sensation on your skin.

At first it did look weird, it's a grey/blackish charcoal gel, but once I put it on, it felt like magic, the menthol gives a warming freshness feeling to your face which I totally loved. There's no smell to it either, just a wonderful nice comfortable gel which does clean your face, it's so gentle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the best products for blackhead prone skin I have horrible problems with blackheads, but since using the Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser I have noticed a difference in my skin. I enjoy the menthol feeling on the skin after lathering as it makes the skin feel very clean and tight afterwards. The only negative I could have possibly found with this product is that it does dry the skin out a bit, but I can curb this with moisturizer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it!! So i bought this product from priceline a week ago, after reading positive reviews on it. I must say this product made my skin really red the first wash. But the product did make a difference on my face. Clean and clear bottle, this is was the new renewed packaging. Each pump give you perfect volume for one use, even though you only need a small amount. The pump is lockable too. The smell is the same as the normal combination skin cleaner, very refreshing. I thought because of the charcoal, maybe it would smell burning. It's not the case. I recommend this for everyone!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! Don't be shocked by the colour of this product - the charcoal means its a bit grey but once you add water to create a lather it doesn't look grey at all. I loved the gorgeous lather from this product, it feel really luxurious. It left my skin feeling clean and soft. The scent is a little strong but quite nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Goodbye pores My boyfriend and I received 7ml samples of this from Pinchme and we both love it! I've bought the full-sized bottle that contains 200ml and it took me 1 week to finish using the 7ml sample with twice daily use. It has a nice goopy texture with dissolvable black charcoal bits in it but turns into a white foam with water. It goes on the skin smoothly and feels just like a liquid cleanser with no exfoliating particles. Surprisingly, it does not smell anything like charcoal but has a wonderful scent, like fruit gourmet, which lasts for about 10 minutes on the skin. I have combination skin and after 1 week of this, my pores are noticeable smaller and cleaner. I haven't gotten any breakouts nor dry patches although it does make my skin feel a little on the dry side but nothing Aveeno's daily moisturizing lotion can't fix. I also find that my T-zone and nose area are less oily at the end of the day. It leaves a nice chilling sensation that feels especially refreshing in the morning but I think this cleanser would be too harsh on sensitive and acne-prone skin. I'm also not sure that this would be good to use long-term wise since one of its ingredients, paraben, is associated with a higher risk of cancer. However, it is a very affordable cleanser and I would repurchase this because of its scent alone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Clean Feeling I usually find Biore cleansers to be quite harsh and really drying on my skin but this one is not too bad. The cleanser itself has more of a gel-like consistency, is black in colour (which is strange at first) and I only needed a small amount for my whole face. What I didn't like about this however was that while I had it on my skin and for a few minutes after I'd washed it off it leaves a tingling feeling particularly around my chin and on my cheeks. However, it leaves your skin feeling really clean and I have definitely seen some improvement in reduction of blackheads on my nose and my pores are a lot more clearer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from perhaps the nostalgia has worn off... I remember going to sleep-overs and having mini-makeovers that always involved pore strips. They are a bit of fun, especially when you can feel like your pores are a little bit cleaner when you see all the gunk that comes off when you peel them off. That was always my favourite bit. However, now that I am considerably older, I feel like the sense of fun has worn off. They take forever to get to that plaster like dry feeling, and I guess my skin care routine is a bit better than when I was a teenager, and return on investment wasn't all that satisfying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Peel off slowly for best results First of all, this product depends on each person. The depth of your blackheads, how many you have etc. But the one tip to try and get the most out of it is to keep it on for 5 minutes longer and peel off the strip very very slowly! The biggest hack that it doesn't tell you, when you rip it off fast the blackheads can't get pulled out, they'll just release from the strip and stay where they were. Make sure your whole nose and surrounding is wet. If you have a lot of blackheads this is for you and I recommend to trial one box first, sometimes I find that they pull out a lot of gunk and blackheads from my nose area, but sometimes barely anything comes out, even when peeled very slowly. As for the discomfort, it may make your eyes water and be slightly painful on the first uses, however honestly I'm so used to it that it doesn't bother me anymore. It's also strangely satisfying when it does pull out a good bit

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too much of a difference I was excited to give these a go because of the massive amounts of blackheads and blocked pores I've got on my nose and chin. And I've heard that charcoal is fantastic so why not give these charcoal strips a go! They're okay. I didn't see a massive difference in my blocked pores, even after a few trials, not much of my blackheads were gone. I'm not sure if it was because I have a lot of them on my nose or what, but they were still there after giving it a number of tries over couple of weeks. I did everything that was on the box of the product, dampened the strips waited around. It's definitely satisfying to just pull them off and see what's on the strip. I did see a bunch of stuff that's for sure! But in terms, of my blackheads and blocked pores, not too much of a difference.

I like to use them as park of my weekly facial routine at home and also like using them before a event to help minimalise the appearance of the pores and blackheads on my nose. I do think that it’s a good help but not going to totally get rid of the problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quick and easy! Typical "does what it says on the tin" product. Apply, leave until dry, remove and stare at the gross things it pulled from your nose. Doesn't get every last pour but gets a vast majority - definitely a step up from the regular strips! Can leave charcoal residue on your nose so recommend cleansing afterwards with a gentle lotion-based cleanser.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but could be better When using these, I do find that it helps remove black heads, but still keeps quite a few on my nose. After cleansing, I wet the product and put it on my nose as the box says and leave it until it goes hard (around 10-15 mins) then remove. I haven't experienced any skin irritation or dryness from using the product, which is great because some of the other charcoal based blackhead removal products from other brands certainly do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not loving these I have in the past tried the original Biore pore strips with not much luck, but thought I’d give these ones a go as I’ve heard charcoal is so great for skin. They are a black coloured strip, unlike the normal white ones. I’ve used the charcoal strips twice and like the other ones didn’t have much luck. I feel hardly any blackheads were extracted using the pore strips and I did as per instructions. I do have quite a few blackheads. I’m open for trying more products from this brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Satisfying but I love the originals more I’ve used Biore Pore Strips before but the Charcoal Pore Strips are a new concept for me. The pore strips are sold in six packs and are housed in a cardboard box with white, deep grey, pink and dark blue detailing and text. Inside you get a leaflet advising you of other products in the Biore range as well as the six pore strips which are individually packaged in sealed black plastic pockets which also has the instructions for using the pore strips in case you don’t keep the box. When you open the individual sachet you are then presented with a clear piece of plastic which has the pore strip adhered to it. It has a fuzzy side which is facing up and a smooth side which is attached to the plastic. Unlike the other pore strips which are white these ones are black in colour. When using them, I first wash my face to get rid of any oiliness and products left on my face before following the rest of the instructions. I have used pore strips many times before and never had I had one fail but unfortunately the first one I used out of this pack pulled nothing from my pores which was a disappointment. I am hoping that was just user error and that this particular one does not fail that often, anyway I didn’t try again on the same day as I did not want to irritate my skin. The second one worked much better and I like the gross satisfaction of looking at the used pore strip. Overall I am not that sure that this product is any better than the original and it did leave quite a lot behind. So, in future, though this is not a bad buy I will be sticking with the original. Made in Japan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay I was excited to try this product as I do have quite a lot of blocked pores on your nose and they are quite large, so I was keen to get rid of these unsightly blackheads once and for all. I followed the instructions and waited around 15 minutes and then removed the pore strip. Whilst that I could see that it had removed a few blackheads, this was nothing significant and I was left generally feeling a little disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did nothing, otherwise good cleanser I used this Biore Charcoal cleanser for a few months. I have combination-dry skin with occasional breakouts and this did neither prevent nor combat them. It did brighten my skin after wash, and most foaming cleansers do this, nothing special. I do not know much on the effectivity of charcoal on skin or teeth etc except for its known medical uses like poisoning I have used Cetaphil for ages, and Cetaphil prevents breakouts for me, or if I do have breakouts, do not aggravate them. I used to love foaming cleansers and this foams like Ponds foaming cleansers and I love the clean feeling, which all it is - a feeling. Still, this is not aggressive on my sensitive skin My stand is, "either or" or this or Cetaphil/Cerave, and I choose Cetaphil/Cerave because of the price point, which at a good sale you can buy at $11 for 1L. When I had this, I alternated cleansers, but in the end, I just stuck to Cetaphil and forgot about this one.

It wasn't too back but can be a little strong when first applied,<br />I found it only a little more cleansing than my regular cleanser but not as much as it appeared in the advertisements (maybe I am just gullible and fall for every ad). it did help a little with my skin tone and smoothing out any bumps (maybe because of the charcoal bits in it) but didn't really do too much about my pimples.<br />I also found that there were almost always charcoal flakes in my hairline.<br />It wasn't the worst and it was ok for the price but there are other cleansers out there that area little more expensive that would work a little better

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works the same as the original This is a good inexpensive nose pore strip, easy to get your hands on as well. I've tried the original pore strips from Biore and in my experience they give very similar result. I would say don't expect every clogged pore to be gone after using this cause that's not going to happen, not even close. But they do work sometimes better than other times but you're likely to get a good amount of junk out of your pores. I've used them myself, on my boyfriend, my sister, friends etc and I do think they are a nice item to have as apart of your skin care routine (for occasional use, like once a week max). I will say these aren't a gentle thing so although i have sensitive skin and I haven't noticed any issues directly from this, I am prone to broken capillaries and even have one on my nose (i don't use them often for this reason) so if you are the same be careful It's very satisfying getting to see all the yuckies come out of your nose, and I do think you can see a bit more on the black strip.<br />Personally though I don't notice any other differences from the pore strips other than colour, they seem to work the same for me. One of the frustrating parts about this product is it can miss out on the big visible clogged pores and I have no idea why but i have noticed this to be the case, so basically just cause you see it doesn't mean this pore strip will grab it. Sometimes my results aren't as good as I hope for but then other times they're better so it's very varied what you'll remove. Still a product worth trying. Be careful if you've got a nose piercing, it's made pore strips a lot more difficult.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the original I was really excited when I first saw these in the shops mainly because of all the amazing benefits of charcoal I've been reading online, however I was quite disappointed with the results. I've been told many a time by beauticians that these blackhead strips are actually no good for your pores but seeing all of the dirt come off of your nose is just too good to miss! I've been a fan of the original strips for years but I feel these charcoal ones are no better/maybe even worse than the normal ones!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not worth your money I had so high expectancies for there pore strips, but when I tried them, I was left rather dissapointed. The only thing good about this product is that the black color allows you to see the dirt on them easily. It is also really sticky on skin, so I felt like my nose going to have no skin on it, after tearing the strip off. And I found, that leaving in on for only few minutes, was the best for my delicate skin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Prefer the regular strips While the idea of using a charcoal infused product interest me, I don't think there's are any better than the original pore strips, in fact i think they're a bit worse. While they do still work to some extent, I feel like the original strips are more effective. I would personally prefer and recommend to just pick up the original ones. You use them just as the same as the original strips however.

I was excited to try this product because of the new charcoal trend spreading at the moment, and in all honestly I really didn't find much of a difference between the regular white Bior nose strips (which are amazing) and these black strips Although your pores so stand out more against the black material, it virtually feels like the same product to me. I really love this brand and the pore strips however I feel as though they have just changed the colour of the strips to follow the trend.<br />The pore strips do leave your nose smooth and rid of any black heads, but I wouldn't stress if only the original nose strips were left on the market xo

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Budget friendly pore strip These pore strips are great for the price. I did find that they didn't work the best but they did manage to pull out some blackheads. I found that for it to work I had to go to the extra length of opening up my pores with a warm cloth and it still didn't do the best job but for the price it was fine. The charcoal aspect of the strip made it easier for me to see what the strip got out of my skin but I don't see a difference with the added charcoal vs a normal strip.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bye Blackheads I bought these pore strips as a cheaper alternative to the charcoal mask that I was trying to get my hands on. I was pleasantly surprised after using these pore strips and was glad that I hadn't spent the extra money! These pore strips left my nose and chin feeling super smooth with noticeably less blackheads in those areas. One thing I found with these pore strips though is you have to be careful not to wet the strips too much as the charcoal comes off.

I know it says to use weekly for maximum results but I find I have to use them more often than that to see results which makes it expensive. I also don't think the charcoal strips are any different to the regular strips. They both work well. It can be hard to find in chemists but most supermarkets have it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does its job I purchased this as I have long read about the benefits of charcoal on skin, as well as being a big fan of biore porse strips I decided to give it a go. Over the past few weeks my skin has broken out and when starting to use this cleanser I thought it would help unblock my pores. My initial thoughts; the texture is gel like ans quite soothing when you put it on your face. The smell is also quite refreshing. The gel lathers up nicely and appears to remove makeup easily, however what i didnt like was that i felt it stripped to much of my natural oils and my skin felt quite dry and tight. I think this would be a great product for those who have combination to oily skin.
