Directions

The bracing flavour is a powerful breath freshener. It tastes like mint mixed with the Irish moss flavour of Fisherman's Friend cough drops. An adult taste that's not for the faint hearted. I'm OK with the flavour, but I prefer lolly-sweet mint. This white toothpaste has a thicker consistency than most other toothpastes, but it's no different in terms of use. I like the flip-top lid: I HATE chasing dropped lids as they roll across my bathroom floor. REPURCHASE? Perhaps on sale, but I prefer my Oral-B Pro-Health. Made in Mexico from imported & local components. Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works, but I detest the taste [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this toothpaste at the Glosscars Marketplace Event at BH Headquarters early in 2017. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so my teeth aren't discoloured but they are sensitive. It comes in a visibly red sparkly box, with a red toothpaste tube. It claims to whiten teeth 4 shades if brushing twice daily for 6 weeks and be safe for enamel use daily. I love the flip top lid. No tiny screw tops to have to mess with that get fiddly especially after a long day. I don't have an issue trying to get the toothpaste out. My husband has been using it too, and we just finished the tube between us both - no issues with dispensing the toothpaste right to the end of the tube. I used this toothpaste at night, and used a sensitive toothpaste (an Aussie made an owned one) during the day. Even with only using this toothpaste at night, I could see a visible difference in my teeth. They are a couple of shades whiter. I didn't notice any pain or discomfort when using this toothpaste. My teeth didn't become more sensitive and the enamel didn't appear to be affected negatively. My husband noticed his teeth are also about 2 shades lighter as well. It's a product he wants to continue to use regularly. I absolutely hate the taste though. I can taste the hydrogen peroxide and I can't wait to rinse it out of my mouth as fast as I can. The mint taste doesn't hide the hydrogen peroxide taste very well. There is a slightly gritty texture to the toothpaste as well that irritates me slightly but doesn't bother my husband. However, the toothpaste does work, it does whiten teeth. It's a great couples toothpaste and I would recommend it.

I am happy with this toothpaste as there is a noticeable difference in the whiteness of my teeth. It has a fresh and pleasant taste. My teeth look and feel cleaner. A little paste seems to go a long way and tube itself is not bulky so doesn't take up too much space in my bathroom or travel bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toothpaste does effectively whiten the teeth. i find the flavour enjoyable and although the packaging is nice enough, I do struggle with the tube and it ends up a huge mess. I will however continue to purchase this product as I find that it really does lift stains and brighten my teeth. I would love to see this product in more consumer friendly packaging.

This toothpaste is white in colour and is quite thick. It leaves a minty flavour in your mouth which is quite refreshing. The instructions say to use twice a day for 6 weeks for teeth which are 4 shades visibly whiter. I haven't been using this for the 6 weeks but can already seen my teeth look whiter and healthier. This toothpaste contains hydrogen peroxide which helps the whitening process. It is safe for your teeths enamel and also contains fluoride and is sugar free.

My partner doesn't mind the taste and uses it twice a day and is seeing better results than me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Colgate Optic White High Impact Teeth Whitening Toothpaste does whiten your teeth but only slightly. I used the whole tube as instructed and at the end I really could see only a slight improvement in the colour of my teeth. I would only maybe purchase this product if it was on a half price special and then I would only use it maybe once a day instead of twice a day as is my usual custom for brushing my teeth. I also have concerns that the product may only concentrate on whitening your teeth and not so much on other oral care aspects such as plague removal, breath freshening, etc. Thank you for the chance to test this product.

I can't really say that my teeth became much whiter and that it was worth the trouble unfortunately. I have tried other whitening toothpastes that I think are much more pleasant. I also did not like the way the toothpaste gets hot on my teeth once I start brushing. A bit disappointed to be honest and can't wait to go back to my Colgate Triple Action.

Taste took awhile to get used to, not minty fresh like I'm used to if course. But I was expecting that. Disappointed that there was no change, so I wouldn't buy in the future. Taste would need to be not as awful too. I didn't, but wanted to use my regular paste to get rid of taste.

Colgate has been around for as long as I can remember so I thought why not! I brush my teeth twice a day using an electric toothbrush and have regular dental check ups so my teeth are in pretty good condition but I just wanted to freshen them up. I used Optic White High Impact White toothpaste over a 6-week period and found that my teeth did look slightly brighter and maybe whiter. The dentist told me not whiten my teeth at home. :(

It doesn't foam up like others do and I find it difficult to get a good clean. I've actually started brushing my teeth with non-whitening toothpaste and then using this so I can actually benefit from the whitening. I only noticed a difference after a week but I don't think after 6 weeks I'd notice 4 shades of difference as I've used other Colgate whitening toothpaste and it didn't get too much whiter. It will definitely leave you with a minty breath which is always a positive.

I have used it for about one month now, and my teeth look much the same ... clean ... maybe, maybe marginally whiter, but not a startling change. It certainly cleans adequately, tastes minty—but not burning-your-mouth-minty, and has a nice tube that doesn’t get clogged up (although I live alone, so haven’t subjected it to the bloke or kids’ test). Do I think I’d be prepared to spend $10 a tube for it ... it hasn’t convinced me yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this toothpaste has been extremely heavily marketed to young teenagers who cant afford to professionally whiten their teeth. Its easy access in supermarkets and trendy red packaging is part of its charm, the valued brand is probably also what saves this toothpaste. It's a lot like the other Colgate and whitening toothpastes just with shinier packaging and a new marketing campaign to allow for a slightly higher price point. That being said, I have tried it when it was on special and like most whitening toothpastes these days it does make your teeth a few shades whiter and is great for keeping a bright smile :)

With High Impact White, you can get that whiter, brighter, bolder smile. For 4 shades visibly whiter teeth. Professionally recommended whitening ingredient, hydrogen peroxide. Contains 2x the whitening ingredient. It’s enamel-safe whitening, that’s good for daily use. Fluoride formula to protect against cavities Initial thoughts on viewing the product: What’s high impact about this toothpaste is the packaging. It’s bright red, it looks crystalised and it jumps out at you from the shelf. If you are a regular user of this toothpaste, you won’t have to go looking for it because the brand recognition is there. It’s bold and you can’t miss it. The tube inside is a bit more muted in comparison to the box but it’s still bright and cheerful. The tube has a white cap at the bottom so it can stand independently. I really appreciate that. I only bought this toothpaste because my regular toothpaste was not on special and this one was, so I decided to give it a shot. Hmm… Thoughts on application: The paste itself is white but what I found interesting was the paste was slightly textured. I’m not quite used to that. It’s not super abrasive but it reminded me of the baking soda in toothpaste trend that came out about ten or so years ago. Not necessarily a great thing. What I appreciated was the minty impact when brushing. There’s quite a hit going on here! It’s not super strong but it’s there. It reminds me of those horribly strong cough lollies my dad used to eat (the ones that came in the white paper bags; I can’t remember the brand name but gee they were hot). The mint is synonymous with a strong mint and may not be to everyone’s taste. I appreciated it as my usual toothpaste is lacking in that department. Another way to look at it is it saves you time in using mouthwash! What this toothpaste hasn’t been doing is it hasn’t been giving me any dramatic changes in the whitening department, nor does it give a decent foaming action. I think the emphasis with this toothpaste is the light abrasive action rather than the typical cleansing reaction. For me, I like a mouth that feels like it’s been cleaned, not just scrubbed. When I went through the ingredients however what I found super disappointing was to see there are sugar substitutes in the toothpaste (sodium saccharin and sucralose). I don’t want to brush my teeth and have my mouth flavoured with sweetness. This was a real downer for me.
