Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value A bit thinner than some other barrier creams which makes it easier to spread and is great for sensitive skin. A great one for prevention and mild nappy rash, however isn't one I would use for a bigger flair up due to its thinner nature.

His skin is very smooth and concern-free about skin irritation. Rated 4 out of 5 by from So great for nappy rash. I used this for my first two children as we decided to use Modern cloth nappies with both and this often meant more nappy rash unfortunately. However I found this barrier cream a lifesaver. Meant my babies hardly ever got nappy rash and were always happy. I plan to use it with my twins that are due later this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Nappy Rash Preventative I somehow ended up with a great supply of little sample tubes of this when I had my bub this time around. I have always been a huge fan of QV products particularly their baby products like their moisturisers and washes. Since this is baby no.3 I have learnt it is just easier to apply a barrier cream with each nappy change rather than waiting until a rash appears to treat the area. Prevention is the best method in my opinion. This product I found to be good at preventing nappy rash and gave my bub's bottom a layer of soothing from any irritants from number ones and in particular nasty number twos! The cream isn't as thick as some other brands I love and find work to treat nappy rash really well. However I still really enjoyed using this product and would recommend it as a decent barrier cream and fairly priced.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile cream My cousin would use this on her baby whenever he would get eczema flare ups and rashes. It would help calm his skin, take away the redness and itchiness. As the main ingredient is zinc, it would work well for adults too. The cream was very thick and because of the zinc it would leave a bit of a white cast onto the skin so you had to really rub it in to get the product to absorb (similar to sunscreen). Even though it was labelled as non sticky and greasy I did get a bit of that tacky feeling when using it. I wasn't too keen on the fact that it contained mineral oil as it can clog pores and cause congestion and breakouts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good The QV Baby Barrier Cream comes in a flip top tube so you can hygenically dispense the amount you require. My baby hasn't had a nappy rash yet so I can't comment on how effective it is for treating it. I love that it's not at all sticky like some brands, it leaves a protective film barrier while some others soak right in. I find it effective at trapping moisture so I use it after the bath oil and moisturising cream on dry patches and exzema.

It's easy to get out in a tube like toothpaste, its the perfect consistency - actually also a little like toothpaste but easy to rub in and very gentle on bubs redness. It is also very inexpensive, long lasting and neutral smelling so ticks all the boxes for me. I really like it and would definitely recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from QV baby barrier cream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The QV baby barrier cream was a new product for us, but as I know QV to be a reliable brand since we use the baby moisturising cream, I decided to incorporate it into our daily routine as a way to prevent nappy rash. I was surprised at the texture: very light, easy to apply, and importantly, also easy to clean off hands after the nappy change! Any redness had disappeared at the next nappy change, so this product certainly seems to be effective. I cannot comment on whether it can heal at a more advanced stage of nappy rash since we have not yet experienced that. The tube is quite big and I think I would like a smaller option for the nappy bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gentle and lightweight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the QV Baby Barrier cream as part of a trial and found this product to be gentle on babys skin and does the job nicely. I have a teething baby at the moment and the cream has worked wonders keeping the dreaded nappy rash at bay. The formula is not as thick as what I am use to and I found that the cream doesn't leave a residue in the skin folds, it must either soak in or rub off on the nappy, so may need to be reapplied during the night for babies that are prone to nappy rash. A little goes a long way with this cream and I will continue to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent product and size for travelling [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love when things are in a tube as it’s easier to dispense the product without making a big mess and you can gauge the quantity without other brands having a removable lid, which is not always convenient during nappy change time though. The reason I gave this a middle review (3 stars) is it didn’t make much difference to my child having a slight red rash beginning from overnight and it just seems like a moisturiser. The cream could’ve been a little thicker, however if I was to use one again I like the texture not being thick and yuck, it must just be ingredients that didn’t give us the outcome we wanted after multiple uses. I would still buy again if there were none others, but I prefer another brand as the alternative which is why I wouldn’t recommend this straight away.

I am always looking for that one perfect miracle cream which will help to soothe and heal as quickly as possible. We tried this cream for the first time and I was impressed. It was nice and thick, but still easy enough to apply and rub in. I found though that it didn't seem to work as quickly as some of the creams did that I have tried in the past though. It did offer some relief to yhe pain/sting of the rash, but it took about 3 days longer than usual for the rash to disappear. I do acknowledge though that not all rashes are the same and there could be a number of readons that it took longer than normally. As such I would definetly still use it.

However it is much thinner than most making it much easier to apply but I don’t feel it holds out as long. You will need to reapply ant each nappy change and will need to make this frequent if trying to clear an rash. Also if the rash is extra raw I don’t feel like it clears it as quickly. I would recommend this product for those seeking something a little less harsh on the skin. Overall a good cream, but not the best on the market! Still love the QV brand overall

The smell is similar to their Moisturizing Cream which kind of smells like some sort of glue and I wasn't that keen on that. But it's not that strong so it's not too bad. When you're putting it on, it doesn't spread that easily or nicely. So with a squirming baby, I've had a few times where it kind of got everywhere since it took that little bit of extra time to get it to spread around. Compared to other barrier creams I've used, I find it wasn't as effective in preventing nappy rash or helping it once the skin is irritated.

Need to be able to slather it on and not just wipe off in the nappy as I think it does. The tub and packaging is fine. I think it needs to be more like sudocrem to work better. The smell is fine and not complaining there. Child didn’t mind it being put on and was easy to do as it’s so runny. 500 character minimum is a lot and needs to be shorter as I don’t know what else to say wregarding this cream

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very thick and pasty [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though this is a barrier cream marketed for infants, I was really excited to give this a go as I have very dry skin (especially on my hands and body). Reading that this product had zinc oxide in it also made me excited as I knew it was going to be extremely soothing. Unfortunately, this produce completely missed the mark for me. I usually love QV products as they are gentle and contain no fragrance (this product is no exception), however it is so so thick and pasty. I understand that the thick, white pasty texture comes from the Zinc Oxide, but it is just too much. The Avene Cicalfate is a great example of Zinc Oxide done right. While this product really would have soothed the skin, it just didn't absorb as nicely as I would have liked it too. It has great packaging and I love that it is fragrance free, but just not something that I enjoy.

I switched to this one from my usual cream and within days she had a nappy rash. I still continues using this cream in hopes of treating her nappy rash but if didn't nothing in terms of healing. I think it does a decent job of soothing the discomfort as my daughter was quite happy once she had a very generous amount of cream slathered on but it didn't heal. I ended up having to go back to my usual nappy cream which healed and soothed. Her rash was almost gone within a few days. Overall, I would recommend this product at all .There are so many better ones on the market.
