Warnings

When using for rub-on, DO NOT: Use on children under 2 years of age unless directed by a physician. Apply close to eyes. Apply to nostrils, wounds or damaged skin. Bandage tightly or use with heating pads. When using for steam inhalation, DO NOT: Use on children under 6 years of age. Leave children unsupervised. Heat in a microwave or reheat mixture. Add into the water that you are heating. Consult a doctor: If fever is present or symptoms persist. If pregnant or breast-feeding before use. While using this medicine: Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or mucous membrane. When exposed to eyes, rinse eyes with water immediately. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredients listed on the label. If you have sensitive skin, test this product on a small area of skin before applying it to a large area. Discontinue use if irritation develops. Contains a high concentration of menthol, which can cause severe skin irritation. Keep clothing loose

Ingredients

Menthol 2.82% w/w, Eucalyptus Oil 1.33% w/w

Active Ingredients: Menthol 2.82% w/w, Camphor 5.26% w/w, Eucalyptus Oil 1.33% w/w

Contains: Turpentine Oil, Cedar Leaf Oil, Nutmeg Oil and Thymol in a petrolatum base

Directions

DOSAGE: For nasal congestion and coughs: • Rub-on: Adults and Children 2 years and above: Rub a thick layer on chest, neck and back. • Steam Inhalation: Adults and Children 6 years and above: Partly fill a bowl with steaming water (NOT BOILING) and add 10 mL (2 teaspoonfuls) of VapoRub. Then gently inhale the steaming vapours with a towel over your head and bowl for 10-15 minutes. May be repeated up to four times a day. Use with care to avoid scalding. For muscular aches and pains: • Adults and Children 2 years and above: Rub on affected areas up to four times a day or as directed by a physician. Whilst it can be a little greasy upon application, as long as you're careful to keep clothing away from it it's not really an issue. Almost as soon as you apply it the wonderful Eucalyptus aroma drifts up and begins to clear your nose. It also gives you a gentle warming sensation across your chest, which can be quite comforting. It will not cure a cold, but it definitely helps with the symptoms and can assist you in getting a better night's sleep. I will always have some of this great little product in my medicine chest.

Easy to apply ,but remember to wash your hands. Good for colds as chest rub,great on feet to stop colds getting worse. Only thing is I do t find the menthol as strong as when I was a kid. Seems toned down somewhat

Recently purchased a jar of Vicks vaporub 100g from the local pharmacy here. the product is not effective at all, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone considering the price. Use something else with better efficacy and longevity because this vicks isn't effective at all. The pharmacy staff were nice enough to refund me my money. Never buying it again.

It has a very unusual chemically smell, almost as if it has gone off and the smell disappears much quicker than the Vaporub I am used to buying in the UK. It has been much less effective than I am used to and I do not think I would purchase this again in its current formula.
