General Information

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for sensitive skin is hypoallergenic and up to 2 hours water resistant. The mineral based face sunscreen contains zinc oxide for physical broad spectrum sun protection.

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Dry-touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 is a mineral based sunscreen that provides high broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection whilst being gentle on skin. With Purescreen zinc oxide, it filters out harmful UVA and UVB rays from skin. Suitable for daily protection and use on the face, it contains vitamin E, a skin daily conditioning anti-oxidant and leaves an invisible matte finish on skin.

Warnings

Warnings: Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. May be irriating to eyes. If product gets into eyes rinse thoroughly with water. For external use only. Discontinue use and see a doctor if signs of irritation or rash appear. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poisons Information Centre right away. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear when exposed to the sun. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Directions

Directions: Apply liberally to all exposed areas 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply frequently (at least every 2 hours) and immediately after swimming, excessive perspiration, towelling, or prolonged sun exposure.

Unfortunately, It was very thick and had a strong white cast on my face, and did not smell great either. There are much better alternatives for a spf 50 sunscreen out there

Rated 2 out of 5 by from White face all day I really wanted this product to work but I put it on, rub it in, wait for AGES and still after 5 hours my skin looks pale like a ghost. My skin is naturally slightly tanned but not olive. Might work okay for someone will really fair skin but not for me.

It is a thick cream which leaves a white cast even after waiting about 20 minutes. I applied my makeup and immediately felt like I had a heavy mask on my face. I wear a Chanel sheer coverage makeup which after an hour had disappeared . The formula is greasy and a little grainy. I may use in days I am not going out and staying around the house, beach etc. I don’t believe I need an SPF 50 so maybe there is another I need to try. I desperately wanted to live this

For years I have followed advice and used Zinc and titanium oxide on my dry skin (which is also sensitive) only to make the sensitivity and dryness worse... i only recently realised this and switched to your hydro boost sunscreen range. What a relief! My skin is healing and I am now onto such great products... really not sure why you push the zinc range when the hydro boost range far exceeds anything in zinc range.

I have allergy to normal sunscreens so unfortunately, I have to rely on chemical ones. 1. To begin with, as it says on the bottle “dry touch”, don’t fall for this. Even if i have extremely dry skin, this makes my skin oily. My specs gets oily and dirty because of this sunscreen. 2. It is suitable for just caucasian skin. NOT FOR BROWN OR DARK TONE. 2.

I highly doubted that those reviewer who wrote "lightweight", "non greasy" and "sheer" were reviewing a different sunscreen. But when I used it, it was super hard to rub/smooth on my face. You basically can’t even spread it. Also, it says it “dries invisible” but when I finally smoothed it everywhere on my face and neck, I looked like I just put on white face paint (and I have pretty pale skin). The white cast is SUPER visible! I don’t recommend to anyone unless your skin is literally white.

This is a thick, pasty white lotion that will make your face white with a mask effect, if you are anything above a Fitzpatrick Skin Type 1. It is so thick and white, I have NO idea how they can get away with calling this sheer...it is anything BUT sheer. PROS: excellent for watersports- doesnt come off for anything, very water proof. High protection. but very misleading .
