Directions

Apply as the last step of your skincare routine, 20 minutes before exposure. Suitable for use under make-up.

Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming, towelling and perspiring in accordance with directions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highly recommended, but smaller than expected. I purchased this because it was highly recommended by dermatologists and I wanted to upgrade my sun/skincare routine. The texture and wear of the formula is the best I've encountered. The sunscreen completely non-greasy, non-irritating, and comfortable for daily use. However, the product is much smaller than expected based on its description, packaging, and cost, which is why I removed 1 star.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BB creams are very problematic for me as they are either the wrong undertone (usually too pink) or way too dark for my light skin.  When I first dispensed a pump of product onto my hand, I was really worried this one was going to be way too dark because it has a lot of colour to it, but when applied with a light hand, it actually works.  Two ways I like to use this... First is blended with a bit of La Roche Posay Touleriane Ultra Light.  I use about a half pump of this combined with an equal amount of the Touleriane Ultra Light and that keeps my face hydrated and looking glowy and bronzed, but in a way that still looks totally natural for me.  However, using it in this way does diminish the SPF, which brings me to the second way I like to use it, which is pretty much the same as the first but replacing the Touleriane Ultra Light with Mecca’s To Save Face SPF50.  This ensures I get the full measure of SPF.  I like the first way during the cooler months and the second way is perfect for summer when I’m outdoors more.  Of all the BB creams I’ve tried, this one is my favourite.  It isn’t perfect (I don’t think I’ll ever find one that is perfect for me), but it is absolutely something I can work with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Cream SPF 50+ is made in France and comes in a very convenient size tube with pump bottle and lid. The pump bottle is really easy to use and a good amount of product comes out. The texture is on the lighter side of similar creams that I have used and it spreads easily and evenly across my skin, which is what you want for good sun protection.\n\nThis cream was used when travelling and was perfect for any size bag or pocket and protects very well when mixed with sport and perspiration. I didn't have any issues with sensitivity or breakouts. \n\nI like the packaging as it is bright coloured and tells you all the facts straight away: 50+ SPF, UVB + UVA Antioxidant, Formulated for Sensitive Eyes, non-perfumed. The instructions on the back are clear and easy to read as well and even come with pictures if your English isn't the strongest. \n\nThe two things I would change with this product if I could are: \n1. the smell of the cream - although it says non-perfumed, it reminds me of a clinical smell which I do not find pleasant\n2. it contains Ethanol, which I usually like to avoid \n\nAll in all, this is a really good sunscreen that I trust to protect my skin and I especially found the size very handy and it has lasted me a long time. \n

This one does its job, and I love my skin when its on! If you are looking for a high SPF sunscreen, you can give this one a go, hopefully, ending your search!

It sounds like a lot on I’m your face but I just love how great this is. It’s not oily and does not feel like an extra layer. Most of all it has worked to keep dark pigmentation at bay. I want to try all their products now! Highly recommended his to keep your skin safe from the sun.

The product applies well and absorbs quickly, without leaving an oily sheen. What's also positive is that the cream is quite light and pleasanty fragranced, it's not too perfumey.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this BB cream - the shade gets nicely blended with my skin-tone, not too greasy and good amount of sun protection. I love that for non-makeup days - which is almost everyday for me, except special occasions. While it is easy to apply creamy formula, it isn't creamy enough to be used on it's own. It requires nicely prepped and well moisturized skin - extra hydration if your skin is dry, I imagine - mine is oily combination type. Little doesn't go long way, which I think is only good because this way I can apply a generous amount and be sure that my skin is sunsafe. There is no particular fragrance or smell to this product, so quite nice and mild from that perspective.\nOverall, beautiful BB cream - more suitable for summer than dry winter weather.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This sunscreen is amazing! Unlike most thick sunscreens, this one didn't leave a white colour on my face. It feels fairly lightweight even though it has full coverage. It also made my skin feel really soft and hydrated. I didn't burn in the sun and I noticed my pigmentation wasn't as dark coming out of the sun. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a high quality sunscreen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this sunscreen. The pump is easy to use and the tube is easy to carry in my bag. The product was great to rub into my skin and felt very light and comfortable to wear. I can't comment on the efficacy of the cream because I have very pale skin and tend to stay out of the sun and cover up. Despite all the good things going for this, the price is too much for me. I do recommend this though to anyone with pale skin and burns very easily.

I have sensitive skin and so I am always cautious of products that I apply. This one felt smooth to apply and I only needed a small amount to cover my face. Great product to keep in your bag, if you wanted something on-the-go!

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Not only is it targeted at sensitive skin, it didn't cause any skin breakouts.\nThis product has nice texture, is easily applied and has no perfumed scent. The small size and the clear lid make it the perfect size for my handbag and allowed me reapply the product when required. \n

The ingredients are paraben free and on the box it has information about the testing that ensures it is formulated for sensitive skin especially sensitive eyes. If you open the box it also has a privilege code that you can register at the La Roche-Posay website for benefits. It’s great that it has SPF 50 and I felt comfortable in the sun wearing it. \n\nThe cream applies nicely and I used it as a base for make up, which worked well. The cream has a slight yellow colour to it which I haven't seen before in sunscreen and I did find that it had a slight smell that I can't describe other than a chemical smell. This is why I deducted one star. \n\nI would recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin, and anyone who hasn’t tried this product yet with sensitive eyes as well as it is specially formulated for it, including wearing contact lenses. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like this product a lot more than the Tinted BB Cream version. The consistency is still creamy but feels lighter & easier to spread on the skin. However, I did feel that this Anthelios Ultra Cream is slightly heavier on my oily skin, especially during this hot summer weather. It is definitely a moisturising formula that leaves a glowy sheen on the skin & feels a little greasy. The formula is gentle & fragrance-free, so it does not irritate my sensitive skin. I also find that this sunscreen is really effective in protecting my skin from all the harsh sun rays, preventing my skin from becoming tanned or burnt.\n\nWhat I love:\n- The pump & tube packaging is really convenient to travel with & hygienic.\n- Very high sun protection that makes it effective & ideal for the sunny weather.\n- Despite the high sun protection, the sunscreen did not leave any white cast on the skin.\n- Non-fragrancedm moisturising & gentle formula that is suitable for those with sensitive skin types.\n\nWhat I dislike:\n- I do wish that the formula is lighter & less heavy but this Ultra Cream version is designed for dry skin types. However, there is always the Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid & Anti-Shine Dry Touch version that is recommended for normal-combination & oily skin types, respectively. I look forward to trying them out!\n

I had no issues with application and felt that it gave just the right amount of protection without being too heavy or clogging up the skin. Definately did the job as I didnt even remotely turn pink from the sun. Definately an item I would repeat purchase for my handbag to remind me to keep up with the sun protection part of my skincare routine

The sunscreen is suitable for sensitive skin, however I did notice that my eyes water when I am wearing this product. The product applies well and absorbs quickly without leaving any unwanted ‘ghostly’ sheen, but I feel like the product sweated/wore off really quickly. I think it’s a good product suited to all skin types, but am unsure if I would repurchase once this tube runs out at this stage..

Not overly oily or greasey, and it sunk in quite well providing a good base for the day. As someone with slightly sensitive skin, I didn't have any reactions to the product. I loved the pump packaging ensuring minimal mess.

I was very impressed with the pump packaging, and I think it would be great to pop in your bag on-the-go. \n\nI found this sunscreen to be light, pleasantly fragranced (not too strong) and it was great to use alone or under makeup. Unlike the BB cream which caused me to have an allergic reaction, this sunscreen did not cause my skin to break out in hives! I would recommend this as an everyday sunscreen for those with sensitive skin. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sunscreen is a product that I often avoid, due to the strong smell and the thick, greasy texture of so many sunscreens - but as the temperature soared this summer, I knew I really had to add some SPF to my skincare routine. I was sent La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Cream SPF 50+ to trial, and was pleasantly surprised!\n\nThere is a very slight yellow tint to this formula, which I really liked as it blends in to my skin so much better than the usual stark white sunscreen! The packaging is perfect to travel with, as there is a cap over the pump so there's no danger of it leaking anywhere.\n\nI deducted one star as there is a hint of sunscreen smell - but it's SO much milder than any other sunscreen I've tried, and the texture is light and smooth.\n\nI highly recommend using the La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Cream SPF 50+ all over the body, followed by the La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Tinted BB Cream on the face (which has an amazing, luxurious scent and a beautiful tint, with the ideal amount of coverage!) - I've been using these two together as part of my summer skincare routine, and my skin is loving the results - no sunburn here!\n

My problem is usually through sweat and getting in and out ocean regular sun screen gets in my eyes and inflames the and makes them all red but that doesn’t happen with this product.\n\nFor me living in Australia the major appeal to this product is the 50spf, knowing your skin is safely covered is very important.\n\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from was so happy to try this product for summer. I am quite fair skinned and my face does burn and get red easily in the sun. I do often overlook the importance of using sunscreen daily in my beauty regime especially to prevent skin cancers and agespots.\n\nI generally use body sunscreen in on my face but my eyes are sensitive and I often end up some getting in my eyes because body sunscreen is so greasy.\n\nI didn’t not have trouble at all with this product. It’s non-greasy and thicker cream so easy to apply onto face. Just like a primer except it’s sunscreen. You could even replace a primer with this in summer. My skin felt light and breathable with it on, no residue and still effective. Rubbed excess into hands and didn’t need to wash it off like other sunscreens.\n\nI wore this to the beach and only needed to reapply once after swimming. It fits into a small purse so very handy size but I gather for the small size it is pricey.\n\nNon-perfumed and has a little pump dispenser for just the right amounts. I would definitely recommend this but would look into other volume sizes vs price as it can be used up quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from After using this sunscreen on some of the hottest summer sunny days, I can happily say that it did an incredible job at protecting my skin from the harmful sun with its 50+ SPF. The tube made it easy to dispense, had a nice smell & was non-irritating. It did still have the tell-tale sunscreen feel, with a slight oily residue & was a thick cream to apply. However for the sun protection it provides, I would still definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great sunscreen for sensitive skin. My eyes are often really irritated by sunscreen but I had no issues, even after sweating and swimming! It blended in really nicely and worked well on its own and under makeup. The smaller tube design meant it was easy to take out and reapply as needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've been a long time user of La Roche Posay, and some of my favourite products from them over the years have been their SPF daily lotions. While I'm a big fan of their latest SPF lotion to hit the shelves, I have to confess that it's not my absolute favourite. First things first - this comes in a tube with a pump and clear pull off cap. \n\nThe product comes out easily, and doesn't make much of a mess. It's easy to spread on the skin, but does end up a bit of a greasy mess. I usually take the time to go and sit down for breakfast while it sinks into the skin. Thankfully, by the time I end up applying my makeup, the lotion has already sunk in. This does seem to leave a little bit of a shine, but that is easily covered up by makeup (or can be used to enhance your glow!). \n\nWith SPF 50 in it, it's been used daily since I got it. I do wish it were slightly less greasy, though, but at least it doesn't interfere with the makeup, so that's definitely a win!\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the BB cream version of this cream it comes in  the same nice pump packaging which makes it easy to put in your bag without worrying about product spillage. I love that this sunscreen is SPF 50+. The product was easy to apply and didn't have much of a fragrance to it. The product did feel a bit oily on my skin which I didn't really like but it didn't feel as heavy as some other sunscreens I have previously used. Overall it was a nice product to use and would recommend it to people with sensitive skin as it didn't make me breakout and I didn't have any adverse reactions with the product.
