Ingredients

Glycerin, Water, Hydrated Silica, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Arginine, Flavour, Zinc Oxide, Cellulose Gum, CI 77891, Poloxamer 407, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Zinc Citrate, Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Fluoride, Sodium Saccharin, Phosphoric Acid, Sucralose.

Active Ingredients: Sodium Fluoride 0.32% w/w (equiv. to 1450 ppm F).

Directions

Brush thoroughly at least twice a day or as directed by your dental professional. Do not swallow. Rinse with a small amount of water. Not recommended for children 6 years or less. Colgate recommends specially formulated Colgate children's toothpaste. Up to 12 hours of protection against bacteria with 4weeks continuous use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colgate total original tastes a bit stronger (more pepperminty) than the usual Colgate that I usually use but it leaves a pleasant, fresh taste in your mouth. I love the easy to use flip top lid. It claims to be a tooth whitener but I haven’t used it long enough to really notice a difference. It doesn’t feel abrasive at all like some other whitening toothpastes which is a good thing. You only have to use a small amount of the toothpaste for it to do a really good job. Overall, I thought Colgate Total Original lives up to the high expectations I have for a toothpaste from a top brand like Colgate.

It’s my go to toothpaste for not only me but all of my family. The Colgate Total original is a decent toothpaste. It keeps my teeth nice and clean as well as relatively white. I found the taste to be quite pleasant and left my mouth feeling nice and fresh. I would recommend this toothpaste to others purely for its ability to keep my teeth white and clean.

The decrease in fluoride content is disappointing and concerns me. I’m now looking at using toothpaste with a higher fluoride content than Colgate offers. Also disappointed that Colgate has removed fluoride labelling on packaging. I think this shows pandering to extremism on health matters.
