General Information

A luxurious velvety gel loaded with suspended Collagen plumping pearls which gently melt and absorb into the skin.

Directions

Using the enclosed spatula or your fingertips, scoop a small amount onto hand and apply to face and neck in the morning and evening after cleansing and toning. For best results, use with the Ultra R4 range.

This firm jar comes with a silver lid and spoon to help you scoop out just the right amount of skincare goodness. When you open it, you will see little plump balls of collagen glistening in the light, ready to be used. All you need to do is cleanse your skin, then place a little scoop of this into your hands and massage it gently into the skin. Essentially, these are rich collagen balls that break down when you place firm pressure on them, and my skin seems bouncier and happier as a result of using them. It's recommended that you use this twice daily, and I absolutely love them! It doesn't have an obvious scent, and the results speak for themselves. This is a worthy splurge.

Plumping, hydrating & smoothing. My skin has now plumped, wrinkles have relaxed & it provides ample hydrating whilst reducing pores & imperfections. My skin is clear & unblemished for the first time in years. The packaging is luxurious & the product smells & feels delightful post-application. Lightweight & non-greasy. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was the caviar-like collagen capsules that took some time to dissolve once placed on the skin. It proved to be a little messy at times. But overall the end result was pleasing, & my tired skin has been reinvigorated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great daily moisturiser but so-so plumping action [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with all Dr Lewinn's products, the bottle and presentation looked very impressive. It even came with a little 'silver spoon' which I kept away. I tried using it to scoop the product but found my clumsy fat fingers too big to hold the spoon properly. In the end, I just used my fingers to scoop a little of the gel and balls out. The plumping gel wasn't easy to put on. The caviar-like collagen capsules just felt like sago balls between my fingers and I had to actively press them into my skin to break them. I didn't expect that. I've used products with ball-like consistency before and it generally dissolves and absorbs into my skin easily. Once applied, it takes more than a few minutes to absorb. With my usual moisturizer, I can almost immediately apply my foundation/ sunscreen etc but with this product, I had to wait for a while before I could continue on with the next layer. It wasn't a problem in the evening but in the mornings when I was in a hurry, it was a bit annoying. There was no scent that I noticed. The product felt fine on my skin. It was a little bit sticky but other than that, didn't feel oily and thick. Once dried, there was no residue that could be seen. It didn't particularly hydrate my skin more than my regular drug-store moisturizer. In fact, I felt that my usual moisturizer was more hydrating. I also didn't notice any wrinkle-filling effect or particularly radiant skin. I used it for about 3 weeks. Maybe if I used it for longer there would a cumulative effect. For now, I can say that the Dr LeWinn's Ultra R4 collagen surge plumping gel is a great moisturizer and doesn't clog up your pores. It's light and hydrating. It's not too thick and rich. I tried it in queensland summer but I think it would also be a good moisturizer for the dryer winter season. I like that it's a big mouthed bottle as I can then use every single bit of the product easily. I hate it when products come in little pump bottles or tubes and there's loads of product left at the end that you can't use. Anyway, back to this. it was hydrating and therefore, helped my fine lines not look as obvious but they were still there, and not filled in. Having said that, I've tried many topical collagen products promising to fill wrinkles and none of them have succeeded so far. I would recommedn this plumping gel to my friends as a great daily moisturizer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique moisturiser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Dr LeWinns Collagen Surge Plumbing Gel for 3 weeks and I am very happy with the resul, my skin feels much softer and more elastic and also has a lovely glow now, amazing! The product itself comes in a beautiful jar with a silver lid making it look very classy! A metal spatula is also provided which is a nice bonus. The product is very unique as it is little spheres suspended in a gel. It feels wonderfully cooling when applied and absorbs well into the skin. The fragrance is pleasant and not overpowering. My only complaint about the product is when I use the spatula to apply the moisturiser the little spheres drop off the spatula! I have found it easier to apply with clean fingers so as not to waste the product. Overall very impressed with the results I have seen.

Personally I do not like the texture of a gel moisturiser and the little pearls are fun to squish but I find it hard to evenly spread them across my face. After I apply this moisturiser I can still feel it sitting on my face and it takes a while I absorb. Possibly my skin does not work well with a gel moisturiser. I will have to say that it hasn't caused a reaction from my skin and my skin appears plump. I will probably finish off the container but I won't repurchase.

I have tried and used so many different brand of creams and gels but the R4 instantly glows the skin and makes it plump and firm. When I tried to crease my face it felt so firm I couldn’t get the wrinkles I normally get.

It hydrates the skin well and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. My skin was left feeling smooth and soft. You only need to apply a small amount to the face and neck morning and night. It contains hyaluronic acid and anti-ageing active neodermyl. It comes in a 30g tub.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks and feels luxurious The Dr. Lewinns collagen surge plumping gel is focused on hydrating the skin while keeping skin plump and firm. It contains hyaluronic acid to help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also had another ingredient I had never heard of called Neodermyl which is supposed to help with lines and wrinkles while also increasing elasticity and firmness. While I don't really have any wrinkles at the moment, keeping my skin firm and plump is important to me and I want to keep my skin looking youthful for as long as I can. When I opened the jar I was not expecting it to look like how it did, it looked like caviar or some type of pink rice pudding as it contained round collagen pearls. I personally love gel formats as they absorb really well, are suitable for my skin type and I find that they don't leave any residue behind. I also like that it comes with a spatula which is much more hygienic than using your fingers. I applied it to my face and neck and I could spread it so easily and it absorbed fairly quickly. It's just the perfect amount of hydration without leaving my skin feeling heavy. You can wear it day or night and underneath your makeup. I have been using it for almost a month now and my skin definitely feels hydrated, it's soft to the touch and looks a lot healthier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hydrating but weird I must admit, I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to my skincare. I like it simple, active and effective. For that reason, I really was not a fan of this moisturiser. I found the semi-solid pearls floating in a light gel base quite disconcerting and bit food-like. Once I started rubbing the moisturiser in, the pearls did break down and the cream got quite thick and luxurious, but I think I would have greatly preferred it if it just came that way. The pearls may it feel a bit cheap and gimmicky. If that texture does something to make the product more effective, tell me that clearly. But otherwise, just stick with a regular cream. It is also quite expensive at $75 for 30ml. At that price point, I can find other products I’d much prefer to buy.

The gel is really sticky and the pearls in it are quite hard to squash and rub into your face. I found quite a few falling all over my shirt. The packaging is very nice and appealing but the scoop spoon is quite small and hard to use even with small hand and fingers. I did use with the corresponding mask but didn’t seem to help. Quite disappointed as I was really looking forward to using this product and feeling refreshed and new. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone and I wouldn’t buy again.

The 'gel' is packaged in a jar with a metal spoon that is used to scoop out the caviar-like bubbles. Perhaps it's supposed to evoke luxury when used this way but I found it a little too gimmicky and not very user friendly. I used this day and night after cleansing. The caviar bubbles needed to be massaged into the skin to ensure no remnants of the bubbles were left in tact. The gel is quite an oily consistency and not a traditional lightweight feel associated with a gel. As a normal to dry skin gal, I didn't mind this so much but would've preferred a more gel-like consistency for the summer humidity. It's a novel idea though not sure it's quite practical as the bubbles don't do much to preserve any active ingredients which is usually low in a moisturiser.

Unfortunately I just don't think it's for me. I've been using this product for around a month now and while it looks totally luxurious with the little caviar gel pearls, I did find that they were a little hard to "smush" down into my skin and I kept getting them stuck under my nails - it was a bit messy and kind of ruined the luxe vibe. I did notice an immediate "plumping" and smoothing effect, but I did feel that the product was a little heavy on my skin and felt a bit silicone like (reminded me of those awful silicone pore/wrinkle filling products that are designed to blur imperfections). I do love the scent of the product so that's a plus. I think perhaps this product is more suitable for a more mature skin (50+) as I didn't find it made a difference to my fine lines and wrinkles.
