[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly,THANK YOU BH for allowing me to be on the Best in Beauty Marketplace trial team. I have used Elucent products before,and didn't mind them at all,so i was keen to try this product out,as i now wear makeup every single day,and need a great cleanser to deal with that. I love a foaming cleanser,and this foams up and removes makeup and daily grime well from my face,rinses off well, and leaves my face clean but not stripped like some cheap cleansers do.It contains really fine exfoliating beads that don't leave the skin irritated, but still leaves my skin feeling exfoliated.With Vit C to brighten,Vit E for moisturising ans safflower to also brighten,this is one very luminating cleanser...but is it ? I cannot say that i noted any real,visible lightening of the few dark spots that i have,but my skin did look fresher post application due to the exfoliation process...something i expected anyway,but the darker areas remained stubbornly intact (perhaps a longer trial would see better results...i will persevere).The texture of this cleanser was quite fluid to be honest (i prefer a richer,denser texture),so i did find my skin slightly on the drier side post rinsing,but i think that for a more sebum rich skin,this would be great.For those who dislike any scents in their skincare,you will be pleased to know that there is none here (i quite like a little scent to add to the sensory experience of skincare,but that's OK). At around $30 for a 150ml tube (that can be thrown in your gymbag,overnight bag to take with you),this is a great,dual purpose cleanser that may just be your next must have.

It feels very gentle on the skin. Not sure what element makes it exfoliating. To me it felt like a regular hydrating cleanser not so much exfoliating. It doesn’t have any salt granules or micro beads in it. It is pretty simple formula without a strong scent. i found it wasn’t the great at removing all my makeup at the end of the day. It was more effective as a bare skin cleanser. Didn’t notice any difference to pigmentation on my skin at the time of trialing this product.

I find it to be very gentle and does not have harsh exfoliating ingredients. If you want a good exfoliation I would opt for a different product. The consistency was liquidy and I don't feel as though it provided a deep clean as I normally prefer. I typically double cleanse when wearing makeup so I have used this as my second cleanser. This cleanser may be suited for someone who is looking for a gentle exfoliator. I haven't noticed any difference to the tone of my skin since starting to use this.

I have dry/sensitive skin for reference. This exfoliating cleanser has some really good ingredients for my skin: glycerine, niacinamide, oat extract and lactic acid. I usually tend to go more for gel type cleansers because they're the least drying and most comfortable for me to use. This cleanser has a light creamy consistency that spreads fairly easily. It has a bit of a grainy feel when you massage it onto your skin, but it's not as bad as typical physical exfoliators. This cleanser is gentle enough that I was able to use it every night for about a week. I didn't notice any wow aspects while using this cleanser, like brighter/more even complexion. It didn't really feel clarifying or "cleansing" enough like my normal cleanser. While it didn't irritate my skin, I did notice little bumps on my forehead starting to appear when I started using this cleanser. I also didn't notice it reducing pigmentation as it claims, because I did have a few uneven spots it could have corrected. Overall, this is not a bad cleanser, but it also isn't anything phenomenal. 3 stars because it didn't harm but didn't wow. I would recommend this because the ingredients are quite gentle.

I found the content to be a bit runny, with small granules within the cleanser. I personally prefer a more gentle cleaner or a chemical cleanser that is a little bit less abrasive for my face. Cos I have enlarged pores. But this works amazingly on my body! If you like a physical scrub, this may work for you. Personally I prefer it more for my body rather than my face. My skin felt lovely after using the cleanser and didn't feel dry.

Unfortunately it was too gentle and not exfoliating enough or as much as I would like for my skin which is combo and acne prone. I feel this is a nice gentle cleanser for the morning but wouldn’t be enough for a day that I had makeup on and trying to remove that residue or for the evenings that ive been out all day with no makeup on even. I think it would work better on Normal to dry skin although it did cleanse and didn’t strip the skin, but probably wasn’t enough to remove the oils. I haven’t yet seen any brightening effect for this one but will endeavour to use up this flip up tube as a morning cleanser.

I think for a exfoliating cleanser this is a good size, you really only need a small amount of this for the whole face. Overall this is good value, I feel like the product itself ok, it didn't really have the wow factor for me. It does make my face clean but perhaps not on make-up days, it's good for when I've had make-up free days. I don't think this is a harsh exfoliator which is good, I would say this can be used once or twice a week.

Rated 3 out of 5 by butterfly from Gentle Cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Elucent Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser as part of the Best In Beauty Trial Team. So happy to try some Elucent skincare again as the last time I used it was around 2016 when I got some in a gift bag from a beauty event. I don't mind this Cleanser! It's very gentle and even had me questioning whether or not it was an exfoliant as you can't even tell it contains exfoliating beads. I love how gentle it is. The consistency, however, is quite runny, which is unusual. So you just have to be careful not to drop it on the shower floor, as it's super runny and wants to run off your fingers. This has a nice feeling when you clean your face and I really like the subtle, pleasant fragrance. Afterwards, my skin is refreshed and feels smooth and clean to the touch. My complexion appears more even in tone after using this for a few weeks (a few times a week), and perhaps just a little brighter, but it's hard to tell if that's a result of this product. I will continue to use this exfoliating cleanser and hope to see more results with use.

I’m trying to find the right balance, so at the moment I’m limiting myself to two times per week as that seems to be working well for me. At that rate of usage, this tube should last me forever! It’s a massive tube of cleanser. It’s a white coloured cream with a bit of a grainy feel. I use a very light touch to massage it around and then rinse. Once I dry my face, I really need to crack on with the rest of my skin care routine - toner, serum and definitely a moisturiser. This cleanser does leave my skin feeling a bit parched. To be honest, given the size of this tube and the fact that I’m only using it twice a week so I have to have a mild cleanser to use the other five days, I probably would not buy this product.

I used it morning and night as I just kept it in my shower to make it easy to use. A little bit of this product goes a long way. I was pleasantly surprised that the product was quite gently on my skin. When I see the word exfoliate, I always think of harsh, abrasive products. This was nice and gentle and left my skin feeling clean. I didn't notice any change in my tone after a week of usage. It's an ok product but I would purchase this.

Absolutely wonderful that it is made in Australia, NOT tested on animals and has no alcohol ingredient. The exfoliating component is gentle and this is dermatologically tested on all skin types. It is also opthalmologist tested. It is designed to be used morning and night. With my super sensitive skin there is no way I could use this frequently - my skin felt very tight and slightly uncomfortable after use but that feeling disappeared after a short time. For someone with extremely sensitive skin I feel this would be for occasional use rather than continuous use. Used by someone with less sensitivity it would be particularly good. The product has a long use by date. If able to be used in conjunction with other Elucent Even Tone products including the day moisturiser and night moisturiser it would be an excellent skin care routine.

I have dry/sensitive skin for reference. I was a bit weary about it being exfoliating as some granules are super harsh on the skin. In that regard, the exfoliating aspect is super mild and am pleased with it. From a cleansing perspective, it did its job but it didn't seem to do much else of the many claims this product has suggested. Overall, I'll continue using it as waste not/want not, but nothing to write home about. I also definitely had to double cleanse when using it to try and attempt to remove makeup as it didn't do the job.

My skin responded well to the constant use of a quality cleanser morning and night. My skin tone is fairly even, I do have some yellowing around the eyes but I could not use this exfoliating cleaner too close to my eyes. As I read the instructions on the side of the box. So I did not notice any reduction of yellowness. I have one sunspot , it did not fade with the use of the Elucent Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser. It is still on the side of my face.

This cleanser is quite light and has the little beads inside which cleanses my skin. I am quite dry and find this cleanses nicely and my skin is left smooth and hydrated. I'm not sure this did anything for my pigmentation but I will finish the tube off and time will tell. The scent is OK it wouldn't be my 1st choice of cleanser but it is lovely. I don't think I would repurchase as I like more of a full foamy type cleanser, but was so happy to try it I would recommend it but not repurchase.

I haven’t used a cleanser which also exfoliates. It was fresh and nice and I actually like the dual focus of this product. My face definitely felt clean and I liked the feeling of exfoliating. I have only used this briefly and haven’t noticed a change in my skin as of yet. But hopefully that might change with continued use. Seems like a good product to use and I will keep using it. The smell is not overpowering and is enjoyable. My skin has an even tone which I very much appreciate so I haven’t seen any really change and not sure if I will, but am excited see how it progresses with my skin over time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Temporary Princess from Thin consistency [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I reviewed this previously a few years ago, and I was recently given the chance to try it again, thanks to Beautyheaven, and I got to see if I still felt the same way about it. I find this to be an inoffensive exfoliating cleanser that is quite gentle on the skin, and this does a good job without feeling like it's stripping the skin of it's normal oils. The grit is quite fine, and it's consistency is relatively thin. I don't find this to be particularly great for brightening my skin, but when my skin is feeling a little tender, while still being in need of a scrub, this does the job quite well.

Although the cleanser has a nice consistency and fragrance, I didn't find it gave me that squeaky clean feel I like after using an exfoliating cleanser. Although I acknowledge this product is marketed as a daily cleanser, I still prefer to use an exfoliating face wash that's a little bit tougher on my skin, as I use a sunscreen daily, and find it doesn't remove effectively with a milder face wash. In summary I would recommend this product for anyone with sensitive skin, and for those who are after a mild, daily exfoliating cleanser.

Rated 3 out of 5 by hmelanie from Surprisingly soft [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this as part of the Best in Beauty event and was excited to try a product focused on evening skin tone, as this isn't something I focus much on in terms of my skincare routine I found that you only need a small amount, and was expecting a typical harsh/abrasive application given it is an exfoliator, but was pleasantly surprised to find it was really gentle and left my skin feeling quite soft, clean and hydrated. For this reason, I think you could use this once/twice a day. On my first few applications, after using in the shower, it did bring out some of my blemishes and they felt a bit irritated after use and I needed to apply a lot of hydrating products to manage this. However, I continued to use the cleanser, once to twice a day and the blemishes have now gone and I'm no longer experiencing irritation. One downside is that I wish the product had a scent, as I like using scented skincare for a more luxurious/enjoyable experience. But since using I have found my skin tone is more even and looks bright and clear, so I will be continuing to use

The first impression was that the consistency is too runny and after using this product for 2 weeks, I cannot see any difference. There is just a faint scent, which I like. It is okay as a regular cleanser but I don't think this product is for me, as it does not bring the desired effect. It might be more efficient on dry skin but not on my combination skin.

Before I even used it I liked the sound of it! my skin can get uneven because of my acne and pigmentation and having exfoliating benefits in a cleanser is great! The cleanser comes in a tube and it's very gentle, perhaps a bit too gentle for my liking. I like a cleanser that really foams up and lathers so I can get a deep clean. This felt more milky and didn't really lather up.In terms of cleaning my skin, it was good but I wouldn't say it was great. I found that it wasn't good on the days when I would wear makeup and I would need something stronger to remove everything off my face. It does contain B3 which helps to even out the skin and I found that it helped with brightening my skin but I didn't really see any improvements in the evenness of my skin tone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Temporary Princess from Decent, but not overwhelming I used this in conjunction with the day moisturiser and the night cream, and while all the products were pleasant to use, I didn't think my skin looked particularly bright after using all of them. This exfoliating cleanser, while gentle, wasn't as gritty as I'd have appreciated. This also had a surprisingly thin consistency. Like the rest of the range, not bad, but not particularly amazing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by p.rosalie from Gentle Feel - The exfoliating beads are very fine and soft. I'd say this would be suitable for everyday use seeing it isn't harsh at all. This cleanser is a lovely mix of foamy and creamy. Smell - Just a light soapy smell, nothing special. Effect - I'm very pale. I don't need to be any whiter. Though I do hope to fade some of the marks and light brown spots around my jaw. This has helped to some extent with those discoloured areas. This has overall made my skin look a bit brighter and healthier. I didn't know what 'brighter' skin was going to look like until I saw it. My complexion looks slightly more even. Final notes - I've used more impressive products, so I'm not sure if I'll purchase the full size after using up this sample. Though it was an overall positive experience.

For an exfoliating cleanser, it feels quite gentle as there aren't many exfoliating beads which is good for me so it doesn't break my skin out. The cleanser is fairly runny, and I feel its nice to use in the morning as it isn't too powerful. However I didn't notice any brightening effect.

It is a very gentle product. My skin afterwards felt well cleansed, hydrated and ready for more products. My skin felt more even toned and brighter too.

It has essential vit like vit c and b3 that will help in lightening my skin. The exfoliating beads are not that harsh..gentle enough to use everyday when you don't have a super sensitive skin. It's not drying nor greasy on your face. But the actual bottle is quite pricey...yet a good cleanser.

It came in a tube and the consistency was a bit runny but it would get thick as you were washing your face. I have combination skin and it worked really well, leaving it feeling soft. I was kind of surprised that it was called an exfoliator when I barely felt any micro beads. There honestly must have been maybe 3 or 4 in the tube. I felt that it was very misleading and disappointing. In terms of brightening, I didn't see that much of a difference. Perhaps over a longer period of time it could help with lightening dark spots. It's a nice cleanser but I thought it was pretty average.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Beckky from Squeaky Clean Feeling This cleanser is quite runny and you need to careful when dispensing it out of its tube. Its not very creamy and doesn't really foam out all when rubbing it on and seems to go clear and disappear in the skin. The micro beads are quite sparse and I didn't really feel them at all. Though after washing my face my skin did feel very clean; squeaky clean in fact and smooth. My face did feel a bit dry in places particularly around my mouth. It's an effective cleanser and the fact that it also exfoliates at the same time is a time-saver though it can be a bit dehydrating on the skin. You do need a rich moisturiser to use straight after.

Rated 2 out of 5 by aleksandra from Gentle, soap-free cleanser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elucent Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser comes packaged in a squeeze tube with a flip top lid which is convenient and allows me to get the desired amount of product out each time. The cleanser has quite a thin consistency and contains small exfoliating beads. When messaged into the skin, the exfoliating cleanser feels nice on the skin - the beads are very gentle and do not irritate or scratch the skin. After use, my skin is left feeling clean without feeling dry or stripped. While the cleanser mentions it has whitening benefits, after a few weeks of use, I have not seen any noticeable results just yet. I have noticed a couple of spots on my face (more than what I normally would have), which may be a result of this cleanser being a little too gentle for my skin which usually responds well to a cleanser with salicylic acid or AHAs.

I love a good multi-tasking product, so I was really excited to try this exfoliating cleanser. I really liked the packaging of this cleanser, it is very clean and crisp white, and I like the way it looks in my shower caddy. The product itself is a nice texture, and a light grainy feeling. It doesn’t have a great lather (which I do look for in my cleanser, but I won’t hold it against this one!) It did feel nice to use, and rinsed well off without leaving any kind of weird feeling on my skin. I didn’t find that my skin didn’t feel too stripped, but it also didn’t feel spectacular. It isn’t going to replace my current cleanser, but I would recommend this to someone looking for an intro to exfoliating.
