Rated 3 out of 5 by from Moisturising night cream [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was gifted to me as part of attending the Best in Beauty Marketplace Event. The Elucent even tone night moisturiser comes in a twist lid jar. The texture is a cross between a whipped mousse and rich cream texture. It has a subtle floral scent. I usually would gravitate towards a rich textured face cream at night just because of my dry skin issues. To incorporate this moisturiser into my evening routine, I have to apply it in small amounts for it to settle into my skin better, so that it sets on the skin without slipping about. I usually use a face oil after my night creams, but for some reason, my skin looks like a slick mess. Anyway, I do like this cream because it does help to hydrate my dry skin, but I can’t layer it with anything else. When I feel lazy and have a minimal skincare routine, I will reach for this night moisturiser. Unfortunately, and it may still be early to say, I haven’t noticed any changes to using this product in regards to even skin tone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad, not fantastic. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive this product at the Best In Market Beauty Event. I am someone who loves my night moisturiser, and I don't go a single night without applying it. I've tried a lot of different night creams over the years, and this one wasn't really a stand-out if I'm being honest. Aside from the pleasant smell and the nice packaging, I wasn't a huge fan of the texture. This cream felt more to me like a night mask than a moisturizer. I found the texture to be really thick, and hard for my skin to absorb. I also felt like it left a residue on my face instead of sinking into the skin. I've seen that some other people with acne-prone skin have experienced some reactions, however this did not happen to me. My skin tolerated this product perfectly fine. But on the flip side, I didn't really see any kind of improvement either. My skin didn't really appear to me smoother or more even. A bit softer perhaps? Overall I'm undecided about this product. There are both pros and cons, and I think this product would work differently on different skin types. I'm not sure that this product is one of those night creams that's for everyone. But I wouldn't dis it altogether. I'd say do some research on the ingredients and trial it for yourself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Greasy but hydrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturiser is good to hydrate the skin. However, I found the cream a bit too greasy for my liking as greasy products can cause breakouts or block my pores. It doesn’t seem to absorb that quickly so make sure you don’t apply too much on. I didn’t find it helped with my pigmentation or brightening much but that could be due to me not applying too much product onto my skin. My skin appears shiny the next morning which I don’t particularly like and I feel much more comfortable washing this off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for dry skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A beautifully thick Moisturiser that is great for dry skin. I wouldn't recommend applying a thick layer on as it may peel off when you are layering your skincare. I treat it like an evening mask. There is a strong perfume scent, great if you like it. If you prefer subtle or scentless products. Give this a miss. Comes in a tube which is lovely for the night stand. No improvements in pigmentation, I think I need something stronger. My skintone looked ok after it did look more plump and moistruised

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thick Moisturiser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Even Tone night moisturiser at the Best in Beauty event. The consistency of the cream is quite thick, so a little goes a long way. I have dry skin during winter, so a thicker cream would have been prefect during the harsh dry winter months. After applying the moisturiser, my skin felt quite moisturised. But after 1-2 hours, it felt dry again. It didn't provide enough moisture for my skin needs. Would keep trying this during the warmer months to see if I notice a difference.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overnight moisturiser. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to Beautyheaven for giving me this elucent even tone moisturiser to trial during the Best In Beauty Awards. I have been using this in conjunction with the even tone Exfoliating Cleanser in the same range. It comes in a nice 50g see through pot with a silver coloured lid. It is to be applied to the face and neck after cleansing, avoiding contact with the eyes. The cream itself, is a slightly whipped consistency. When applied, it takes some time to massage into your skin. In fact for me, that didn’t happen so well. It seemed to have a layer of shine left on the surface of my skin, which feels a little sticky. While this is not a great problem as it is applied at night, it is still not a Cream I felt comfortable wearing. I also was not a big fan of the scent. I persevered for a few weeks, but realistically, I would not recommend this or purchase later. I didn’t see any difference in extra hydration or illumination results after using this cream. My skin type is mature, combination/ normal complexion, I do not have much visual pigmentation, so although I enjoyed the trial, this cream was not suitable for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thick and moisturising [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturiser is meant to help revitalise the skin through moisturising it, while also reducing the look of hyperpigmentation. It’s also supposed to improve the skin barrier and elasticity. This comes in a white jar with a silver screw cap, which makes access easy, and I find the texture of this to be relatively thick and creamy, which means that it takes a little long for this to sink into the skin. This works well now, but I suspect it may be a bit too heavy when the months get hotter. I feel like the selling point of this moisturiser is that it can help with getting a more even complexion, but unfortunately, I haven’t noticed a difference to my pigmentation. Instead, what I do like about it is that it seems to do a good job of moisturising the skin, which is what my face need with the transitional weather. Overall, I find this a pleasant product to use, but not one that is groundbreaking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another night moisturiser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently received this as a sample as a part of the best in beauty marketplace event. I’m not someone to use night creams that often, I suppose only when I get given one to trial! This one has a smooth consistency and easy to apply. It has a pleasant fragrance. This even tone night moisturiser is aimed at visibly reducing pigmentation which is something that I have an interest in. I have rosacea and can’t say that it improved over time but it certainly didn’t get any worse by using this night moisturiser. It does hydrate and illuminate as the description on the packaging suggests!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hydrating and softening [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Beauty Heaven for the opportunity to attend the Best in Beauty Marketplace. Thanks also to Elucent for the opportunity to trial the Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturiser. The Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturiser comes packaged in a white box with a distinctive sky blue band with the elucent label written inside the band. This blue band indicates that this moisturiser is part of the Even Tone range. This means that the product is designed to help reduce pigmentation and to brighten the skin as well as to improve texture. I do feel that only by continuing to use this product that I will be able to judge fully the effect on my pigmentation. This will take longer than the couple of weeks we have been given to review this product. This night moisturiser comes in a 50g see-through jar with a silver coloured lid. The jar itself also has the sky blue band. I have also been using the elucent Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser in this range and together they have been effective in helping to improve the condition of my skin. I use the elucent night moisturiser after cleansing my skin with the matching elucent cleanser and applying my serum. A small amount of this cream is all that is required as it spreads easily. It leaves my face feeling moist as the cream is not fully absorbed quickly by my skin. As this is a night cream I have gotten used to the moisturiser being absorbed overnight. In the mornings my face feels non-greasy, soft and hydrated. Some of the ingredients in this moisturiser are emblica fruit extract, safflower seed oil, as well as vitamins B3 and E. I am very happy with the way these two products have performed and will continue to use them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A bit too thick and heavy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you beautyheaven for selecting me to be part of the Best In Beauty trial. I have a combination skin type and I found this moisturiser to be a little bit too thick and heavy for me. I think my skin struggles to absorb thick moisturisers like this one and it just seems to kind of sit on top of my skin and not completely absorb making my skin look quite oily so I have been using this every second or third night as a sleeping mask instead. It deeply hydrates my skin and leaves my skin quite soft and supple. I haven't noticed any brightening yet but it may be too soon to see those kind of results. I don't like the chemical smell of this moisturiser either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Night moisturizer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream is scented, not a fan of the scent itself. Formula is on the thicker side. And heavy on silicones. To seal in the moisture I guess. I do not mind using it over my serums at night. Cream sits on top of the skin, it is not one of those that completely gets absorbed. My skin in the morning is still juicy and plump. Did not notice change in skin tone changes as the trial is a bit short. If the fragrance was not there I would like the cream more. Vitamin B3 is high on ingredient list, so I like this as it is missing in my skincare routine. Need more time to see changes in pigmentation. But as a basic night cream it is ok. Minus the scent .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from no improvement [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Even Tone Night Moisturiser by Elucent together with the Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser at the recent Best in Beauty Marketplace Event. I don't really like the consistency of the Night Moisturiser and my skin feels a bit greasy after applying the product. I have been using it for almost 3 weeks but cannot see any improvement of my skin. I am glad I was able to test this product, but, as with the Cleanser, I would not use this range again. I do have combination skin and maybe it is more suitable for a different skin type.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good ingredients but a bit heavy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This night moisturiser is part of Elucent's even tone range and comes in a 50g jar. The formula contains niacinamide, a superstar ingredient that brightens and prevents fine lines, safflower seed oil which is an antioxidant and emollient, Emblica Fruit Extract as a natural source of vitamin c, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate which is a stable and oil-soluble vitamin C derivatives, Vit E for skin health and lactic acid as an exfoliant. It has quite a number of silicone-based ingredients, which I don't have an issue with. It does have fragrance but it is not that noticeable. This moisturiser has a whipped texture, but upon application it is quite thick. On my combination skin, it can feel heavy and suffocating, I can put up with it but it's not a something I look forward to applying. What is tricky for me is that it tingles for me if I apply it after some serums with active ingredients, or after I have washed and exfoliated my skin. So I have to be a bit careful as to what I layer this with. I've used this product for over two weeks, which is probably not enough to see results, but so far I have not seen any improvements in terms of brightness or evenness of my skin. I was already using niacinamide and vitamin C before the trial.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nice even moisturiser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently I have tried out the Elucent even tone exfoliating cleaner which I loved so I had high hopes to try out the nigh moisturiser from the same range. The night moisturiser has a slight fragrance which is the scent I enjoy. The moisturiser has a very lightweight texture which is easy to smooth out evenly on skin and absorbs into the skin instantly. This moisturiser claims to help with reducing pigmentation and even out the skin tone. I have used this product every evening for two weeks now and unfortunately I haven't seen any noticeable difference yet but will continue to use and see if I can see the result in few weeks' time. Despite that, it is a great moisturiser to use as it helped my skin well moisturised and hydrated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Luxury product, feels super soft! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to receive this product as part of the Best in Beauty trials as I love sampling moisturising products in particular! Lately I have been using the Endota Ultra Hydrating Night Cream which is extremely hydrating, so I was keen to see how this product stacked up. The packaging of this product is really luxurious and something I have enjoyed having in my bathroom bench top. The texture is very light and creamy, and I found that I only needed a few fingertips worth across my face for full moisturiser coverage. Applying after cleanser, toner and serum, this glides on really smoothly and absorbs well. Unlike my current moisturiser, I found this didn't leave any grease or shine, which is a huge plus as I don't like the feeling of heavy product clogging my skin Immediately after use, my skin has felt really soft, and continues to feel soft in the morning, but definitely in need of hydration after a nights sleep. I have noticed an improvement in my skin tone and appearance after using this (paired with the brands cleanser), so I would recommend as part of your night time routine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average but feels like whipped cream! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this to try as part of the Best in Beauty Awards 2022. It's one of the nicer night creams I've tried but not the best. Whilst I prefer a thicker night cream to really work it's magic overnight, this cream is more suitable for anyone who wants something more lightweight. Although it could be a great option for warm summer nights. I don't love the smell as it has a sort of plastic/chemical smell when you initially open it but fades a few minutes after application. I haven't seen any 'skin evening' results despite using it every day for two weeks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't see improvements [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As part of the best in beauty even I received the even tone night moisturiser to try out. As my skin is oily and acne prone I liked the sound of using something that would help to even out my skin. I do have some pigmentation from blemishes that I would like to lighten and brighten and gave this a try to see how it would work. It comes in a jar and the moisturiser is quite rich and creamy, something I tend to dislike as I need something more lightweight for my skin type. I applied it to my face after cleansing and found that it felt really greasy on the skin. Not to mention it took awhile for it to absorb and didn't leave my skin feeling comfortable. I used it in conjunction with the matching cleanser but found that this moisturiser didn't make any improvements in my skin tone. With the B3, vitamin C and lactic acid in the ingredients I had high hopes but unfortunately it just didn't work for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For naturally luminous skin The Elucent Even Tone night moisturiser comes in a jar and is very faintly scented so that it doesn't overwhelm during use for those who don't like strong scent in their facial skincare products (big tick from me). The product itself is a thick cream with a gel-like touch and goes on skin smoothly and is easily absorbed without leaving any greasy or tacky feeling. Although the product is well absorbed, it isn't emollient or hydrating enough for my dry skin during the winter months and I need to layer a more hydrating moisturiser on top. I think this product will work best for me in Summer and for those with that have oily skin as it does not add any greasiness to skin at all. After 4 weeks of nightly use, I have to say in combination of the other Elucent even skin tone products in the range, my skin has been the brightest and luminous for a good year (thanks to lack of sleep due to parenting a toddler). My skin is soft, smooth ,and in natural morning light, looks lit from within. It has also help to remove the dry skin patches around my mouth during this winter season. I was hoping that this product could be a hero product for me and was hoping for a bit more in terms of addressing my pigmentation and dark marks from hormonal acne but there doesn't appear to be much noticeable difference for those skin problems. My acne marks are starting to fade abit now but I'm not quite convinced that is attributed to using the product as opposed to natural skin healing. Overall, I can safely say that the products is great at evening skin tone but don't expect too see dramatic change for pigmentation or scar mark issue. I will continue to use this product but at this stage I'm not sure if I would repurchase as it didn't seem hydrating enough for me as a night cream to use on its own.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thick and hydrating I was very interested to try this even tone night moisturiser, and I quite liked it. This moisturiser claims to hydrate and illuminate and it did just that. This night moisturiser comes in a beautiful clear jar with a mirrored silvery lid with a seal, also packaged in a clean white and turquoise box for added protection. The packaging is nice and easy to read with clear instructions. This is a thick white cream that goes on nicely and is absorbed fairly quickly, a little goes a long way. There is a kind of chemical fragrance but it's not overpowering. I didn't really like the smell though. I was happy with the results using this night cream, my skin was bright and hydrated in the morning and it did not cause me to break out. This might be suited for more dry skin instead of my oily skin but it wasn't too much to handle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best in the Even Tone range This Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturiser is suppose to visibly reduce pigmentation, hydrate and illuminate with emblica fruit extract, safflower seed oil, vitamins B3 and E. It comes in a 50g tub. On the box, it says that the rich moisturisers work to revitalise the skins appearance by replenishing moisture lost throughout the day, while helping to reduce the appearance of dark spots. For best results, use in combination with the Even Tone Exfoliating Cleanser and Even Tone Day Moisturiser. I have combination, sensitive, acne-prone skin and at the moment, my skin concerns are hyperpigmentation and dark spots on my face and arms. The Elucent products have beautiful packaging. It looks very sophisticated and classy. The night moisturiser lid itself has a mirror like cover. Very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I honestly do not know if it helped with my pigmentation but it does hydrate and moisturises. It was surprisingly lighter in texture than the day cream. It works well as a moisturiser but nothing else. It also did not have the same strong chemical fragrance like the dark Spot Corrector or day moisturiser which I liked. Not sure if I would be repurchasing if given a choice as I don’t think it helped lightened the dark spots on my skin. On a positive note, I’m glad it didn’t break me out or caused my skin to be red or irritated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gentle but effective I liked the clean and fresh white and blue with hints of silver for the packaging of this product. I used the Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturizer in conjunction with the Elucent even tone dark spot corrector and moisturizer in the day time. I applied the night cream soon after cleansing every night for the last few weeks of the trial. The cream is pleasantly fragranced and not too thick. I liked that it was not a heavy night cream and it was easy to apply and absorbed in quickly. It certainly helped with overall hydration of my skin and helped to keep my skin looking good and clearer. I have noticed very slight fading of my dark spots , not a dramatic difference. I liked how gentle it was. It does seem to have given my skin a more even appearance overall. This is a good product range for sensitive skin types.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nourishing night time moisturiser I am impressed by the proper seal on the product as it ensures a fresh clean product inside the jar. The lid has a silver look which is like a mirror so it looks quite classy. I would love to see it come in the pump form to avoid dipping fingers into the jar for each use and I also find that the pump type products stop me from using too much product at once. I have found with this product that it is easy to over use the thick cream in the jar, as you really don't need much to cover your skin thoroughly. I have been using this Night Moisturiser each night after washing my face for a month. I have also been using it in conjunction with two other products from the same 'Even Tone' range which are the Dark Spot Corrector and the Day Moisturiser. I don't really like the smell of it, but it does absorb well into the skin and feels like it is feeding and nourishing my skin overnight. It also doesn't feel overly heavy and greasy like many other night time moisturisers do. There has been no noticeable reduction in pigmentation in my skin tone after a months worth of use. My skin does seem quite hydrated by morning though which makes it more radiant which is a great feeling to wake up with. I am torn on this product as although it gives good overnight hydration, I had no changes in evening out my pigmentation and I am not keen on it's scent.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hydrated skin Thank you BH for giving me this opportunity to try this product. The Elucent Even Tone Night Moisturiser is meant to hydrate the skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots and discoloration. The packaging deserves full points, it comes in a good size jar that has a nice look and feel to it with the white and silver. Really like the mirror effect on the lid. I have been applying the night cream in conjunction with the day cream and the spot corrector. I found the night cream a bit lighter than the day cream, but the fragrance is not what I prefer in my products. The cream was easy to apply and I applied it after cleaning my face at night. The skin did feel moist and hydrated in the morning but the skin tone or the discoloration bit I felt it had no effect. Overall not a very impressive product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This night cream soaks in well. The night cream soaks in well and is less thicker and heavier than the day cream. I can tell where I have used the applied the night cream, as in it leaves a thin film on my skin. There is a slight fragrance, nothing offensive. I used the night cream in conjunction with the day cream and spot cream. I did not notice any difference in the two age/sun spots I have on my cheeks. From using the day cream, spot correcting cream and night cream my skin had a few break outs. My skin is usually pretty clear. The pimples came in between my eyes. If I had paid full retail price for these skincare products I would not be a happy customer. I was part of the trial team. The jar comes with a mirrored lid so you can see where you have applied the night cream. The jar feels heavy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dark spots are more ageing than any lines, but what can be done ? Firstly,THANK YOU BH for allowing me to trial this product. Elucent has ranges for many, many different skin concerns, but this range...the "Even Tone" range,is specifically for dark spots (from an ageing perspective) / uneven skintone and scaring that has left dark areas (from acne issues perhaps). It is housed in a very clean and calming white jar with water blue lettering, and the cream itself has a creamy consistency and a scent is not overpowering at all.If you are more sensitive skinned(i am not),i suggest either a patch test OR looking elsewhere for a solution (this baby comes full of ingredients such as the well known for skin brightening Vitamin C,caring Vitamin E and the magic exfoliator,Lactic Acid),but if you can use, this rich moisturiser works to revitalise the skins appearance by replenishing the moisture lost throughout the day, while claiming to help to reduce the appearance of dark spots...but did it ? Well, not really. It did feel rich on my skin,it did leave my skin soft the next day,but after a few weeks of trialing,i didn't see a marked improvement of my dark spots (sides of face and under eye area) to warrant me buying this again.I didn't expect miracles,BUT i did expect to see some kind of reduction in size and colour after a few weeks of use,so as a night cream, this is not too bad,BUT for lightening dark spots of any kind, perhaps a longer timeframe is needed to determine those effects. Give it a try (at around $50 for the jar,it may be a little exxy, but a lot less than a trip to a dermatologist).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An okay night cream but not for pigmentation I am reviewing this cream in conjunction with the eye cream and day cream of the Even Tone line as part of a trial. I have been using this cream for a few weeks now and is probably my favourite of the Even Tone line. Surprisingly it is lighter than the day cream in texture and I find I had to apply a fair bit (I have normal/Oily combination skin) until my skin felt sufficiently hydrated so not great for a night cream. There is a faint scent but not as bad as the day cream. The whole line did not do anything to minimise my pigmentation when used on their own so I had to add my vitamin c gel creme to help brighten my skin. I must admit that my skin felt very smooth in the morning but I still would have to apply a lot of the product to get my skin to feel hydrated. Unfortunately I would repurchase this product once the cream is emptied.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great I’ve been using Elucent even tone night moisturiser as part of a trial for about 3 weeks now. It comes in a nice sized jar & has minimal fragrance so it’s good for sensitive skin. The cream it’s self is pretty thick but it absorbs into my skin easily & feel nice. I haven’t noticed a big change in my pigmentation by there is a slight difference so it does work it’s just not the strongest dark spot cream I’ve used.I have also had dryer skin since using it , I’m not sure it’s from using this or if it’s just from the winter weather. I won’t be purchasing this again after the trial and can’t wait to get some hydrating moisturiser on my face . I’ve been using the matching day & night cream with it and I’m not a fan of them really either. Not the worse I’ve used but not the best.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nice nightcream but there are better ones out there I have been using this two to three times a week for the last few months. I love how quickly it absorbs into your skin and how soft it makes your face feel. The one big drawback I found was the smell of this product, it has a distinct chemical smell which was disgusting at first but over time I got used to it and now it doesnt really bother me.<br />I can't say that I have seen any difference in terms of my skin's pigmentation though. If you are looking for a nice night cream for hydration this is good, but if you want whitening cream look elsewhere.
