Directions for use:
Brush thoroughly at least twice a day or as directed by your dental professional. Do not swallow. Rinse with a small amount of water. Not recommended for children 6 years or less. Colgate recommends specially formulated Colgate children's toothpaste. Up to 12 hours of protection against bacteria with 4-weeks continuous use.

*2x daily (every 12 hours) brushing with 4 weeks continued use.
**Fight tartar, cavities and bad breath based on bacterial plaque reduction vs. non-antibacterial fluoride toothpaste with 3 months continued use.

So this could be potentially a polarizing product. I could see it having appeal for people who don't like that hot mint 'freshness' in many other toothpaste. I felt the cleaning was on par with other Colgate total so I would say there is no real advantage of this product over any other but for the taste and/or to break the monotony of your regular routine. I'm happy to recommend people give it a go for something different but it won't change your world!

Not sure. While there was nothing wrong with the product, IMO there are better Colgate toothpastes out there that I would by first.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean, but not sure how deep [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Colgate Charcoal Deep Clean is just like most other toothpastes I've used in the past. It didn't have an overly minty flavour, which meant I had the mindset of my teeth not necessarily staying clean for a long time (compared to other toothpastes). I'm also not sure whether the charcoal deep clean did anything as I didn't notice any change in my teeth colour looking at before and after photos. Having said all that, it's a perfectly fine toothpaste, same as any other Colgate Total product I've used in the past.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before trialling the Colgate Total Charcoal Deep Clean I used Colgate Total Tartar Control which ptovides an excellent clean and feel, and the Charcoal Deep Clean didn’t initially feel as clean. However, the clean taste did appear to last longer. The Charcoal Deep Clean also recommends using for 14 days for best results, which I haven’t yet achieved. Based on the current long lasting clean taste I will keep using it to see how it performs after 14 days. If it performs even better than it currently does I will strongly consider switching to the Charcoal Deep Clean as my go too toothpaste.

It foams up really well while brushing (I use a manual toothbrush) and leaves me mouth feeling really clean. It has a pleasant fresh minty taste, but it’s not overpowering or too strong. I am not sure if the charcoal component is meant to have a whitening effect, but I am yet to notice any difference in that department though it has only been a week of use. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I prefer natural toothpastes, but as far as not natural ones go, this is great. Overall I would recommend,

I really liked the taste of this product though, left me with a minty taste. I would recommend for everyday toothpaste, but not for drastic/instant teeth whitening.

It works well enough, but I'm not convinced that the charcoal is adding anything at all except a marketing opportunity and grey colour.
