Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great product! I was super excited to try this after Garnier went cruelty free! This product is such a big container and a little goes a long way - I love that I can just buy this from the store and I don't have to go to multiple places for different things. This goes in your hair sort of easy - it is a little clumpy and needs to be brushed or combed through. I know it says that it has three uses but I wouldn't leave this in my hair if I was going out - it does make hair heavy and oily and should be a treatment that you wash out before doing things. Others I have found you can put a little in and go about your day but not this one. I LOVE the smell - it is lovely and fresh and isn't over powering. I bleach my hair and this left my hair feeling smooth and shiny - I have now added to my products that I use regularly, noting that this isn't the be all end all and will still need some other treatments in between.

It can be used as a regular conditioner, deep conditioning hair mask or as a leave in conditioner on either wet or dry hair. My hair is very long and the ends are in desperate need of a cut, so they are a bit dry and damaged, also my hair gets tangled easily. I initially used it as a conditioner and then as a leave in treatment on wet hair. It also great when used on dry hair to tame a fly aways and frizzy hair. I love the fragrance of this mask and I like the subtle scent if leaves in my hair. The texture is quite thick, but it rinsed out easily, leaving my hair silky soft and shiny. I like that it’s very hydrating but doesn’t weigh my hair down. It’s a lovely product to use and very affordable due to the massive tub! At 390g is a lot of product and will last a very long time. My only criticism is the jar is so big it’s a bit hard to handle, I had to leave it on the floor of the shower so I could scoop some out, I was concerned I would drop it. Maybe a big squeeze tube with flip top lid might be more user friendly. I would buy this again because it’s a great versatile product, my hair looks shiny and it’s more manageable and I love the fragrance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for my hair I am in my 3rd container. I have a coarse wavy hair but not dens. I use it as conditioner/leave-in. It gives my hair a natural shine and soft to touch. The aloe vera does not weight down my hair like the banana version. It is a personal choice depending on the hair type. My friend use the banana version and it is perfect to undetangle her curly hair and great leave-in.

It comes in a jar which is not my preferred format to use as it can be difficult in the shower having to unscrew the cap and dipping my hand into it but the product itself is great! It is 98% natural and it can be used as a conditioner, a hair mask or as a leave in conditioner. It is a white, creamy substance that smells like coconuts and the fragrance stays in your hair as well which I love. I applied the conditioner onto my hair and would leave it in for several minutes before washing it out. I wouldn't say it's incredibly hydrating for those who have really dry hair but for someone like me who has normal hair it was good because it provided my hair with just enough moisture without weighing it down. It leaves my hair feeling soft and silky without leaving any residue behind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Moisturising with a lovely scent This is the latest Garnier Hair Food out of the range that I have tried and I must say I am really pleased with it. I have tried the other Macadamia and Papaya ones which I also like, but by far I prefer this one for the scent alone. I find it conditions my hair well leaving it really soft and easy to comb afterwards. I have no tried this as a leave-in conditioner (which is one of the ways you can use it) but I do like that it’s versatile in that it can be used 3 ways, as a conditioner, mask or leave-in treatment. I use this mainly as a mask and find it deeply hydrated my hair. I have only deducted one star as I find I've used other hair masks that nourish my hair a bit more than this one does, however for a supermarket product that is so cheap (I always buy when half price) it is fantastic. The tub is a generous size too and you get many uses from it before it runs out. I like the cute green lid as well and the fact that the product is 98% natural-derived ingredients. I will definitely keep purchasing this as it works well for me without breaking the bank.

For such a huge tub and low pricing, this hair mask does a good job in making my hair manageable. Nothing miraculous. No mask can repair damage. But can prevent tugging and pulling. Smells fruity fresh and pleasant. Not strong and goes away when my hair is dry. Hair so easy to brush trough after using it. I use generous amount as my hair soaks products as sponge, so this size tub is perfect for my amount of hair.

It smells fresh/floral (ish) and has 98% natural origin, biodegradable and vegan, with no silicones, no parabens and no artificial colourants! So it won't build up in your hair...yay! I usually buy it when it's half price so I can be generous with my application. I just grab a scoop, lather it on and wait for 2 mins while I brush my teeth. It is light on my hair and doesn't weigh it down but doesn't make it frizzy either.

The ends have been getting knotty and unmanageable. I applied the Garnier Fructis hair food to the mid lengths of my hair after shampooing and found it very easy to use, It smelt delish and left my hair feeling silky. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants diverse conditioner which can be used for a quick apply and rinse conditioner or more of a hair mask for a deeper condition.

I personally used this as a hair mask after shampooing and conditioning my hair. It conditioned my dry ends but did not weigh them down. The product was easy to work through my hair with a lightweight, silky finish. I love the versatility of this product; to use as a hair mask, a conditioning after treatment or a leave-in conditioner. As I tend to have really dry ends I'll probably continue using this a leave in conditioner and use a more heavy duty mask on the days my hair feels particularly parched.

No parabens or artificial colours in this product and according to the label it is has a 98% natural origin formula so I was eager to give it a go. The different options around how to use the product suit my lifestyle. Being really busy during the week I simply used it as a conditioner – this texture is creamy and it has a lovely fragrance. My hair was left healthy and shiny. On the weekend I tried is as a mask and relaxed for a few minutes before rinsing. The result was luscious hair that was very easy to style afterwards. You can also use as a leave-in product. The tub is a very generous 390ml so will last a long time. I would definitely be happy to recommend this .

This was something I was so looking forward to trialling as I have terribly dry frizzy hair on the ends and it is something that has bothered me.The thing I liked about it is that it can be used three ways, either as a conditioner after shampooing, as a mask to leave on few a minute or two after shampooing her apply to dry hair. I used it all three ways and found all tree great. The aloe Vera is a natural healer. Garnier have used recycled plastic on this products packaging which is great for the environment. This impressed me. The scent of the mask was lovely and fresh and I didn't feel it overpowered me. I was lovely and creamy feel on my hands but absorbed into my hair well.

The aloe Vera is soothing and hydrating and leaves my hair softer and more manageable. I love to use it as a leave in conditioner to really sink in and do a great job. It’s great to put on hair before swimming or the beach for protection from drying. It smells beautiful, a fruity, zesty light scent. It’s also economical as the price is great and the tub is quite large so it lasts for ages. It also has no parabens so no nasty coating on hair. I love this product and will be buying it again

Always looking for more natural products, but want ones that actually work, which this one did. It’s got a pleasant scent and a little goes a long way. The product has multiple uses - as a conditioner, hair mask or leave in treatment. I used it as a hairmask in the shower after shampooing and conditioning. It smells delicious, very strong, however it's like being in a day spa with energising ingreidents and lovely texture. It left my hair feeling hydrated and smoother than normal. Being a curly haired girl, it's essential that I use products with NO parabens, artificial colorants and silicones so I was impressed to see these requirements met. I also highly value an ethical brand that does not use animal products in it, however would be more impressed if they advertised 'not testing on animals' too! I would recommend this product as a way to pamper yourself at home for all hair types.

This product comes in a large generous plastic tube, that can easily be scooped out. It can be used as either a normal hair conditioner, hair mask or leave in treatment. With my fine, thin hair, I prefer to use it as hair conditioner or hair mask, as leaving it in tend to weight my hair down. I reckon it will work more efficiently for those with thicker hair. I really like the scent as it smells so refreshing and lingers for a whole day on me. I find that after using this product, my hair feels very soft and easy to brush. I also use the "reverse method" (that is, you use hair conditioner first, then shampoo after so that no residue is left on the hair) and my hair is well hydrated without feeling heavy or oily. At a retail price of about $12, this is a good buy as a little bit goes really long way.

I also usually get a lot of knots but haven't had that issue since using the mask. The tub is huge and smells lovely, not too overpowering and it smells like sweet aloe vera and leaves your hair smelling lovely after washing. The texture is thick but not greasy and it washes out easily without leaving any residue. Overall a great product and love that the product is vegan and free of parabens and colours.

Beauty heavens natural beauty month landed me this "gold" for my hair.My hair is quite fine and has no volume and falls off. i have very unhealthy hair. This product came in to save my hair's life, upon application ( i used as a leave in conditioner) my hair first of all smelt amazing, it immediately gave it a shine, and volume, it was even easy to style because it held the hair together. It doesn't leave hair looking oily but only healthy. The product is easy to apply, i like to immediately apply it after i wash my hair and keep it on until my next wash( after 3 days). when i wash my hair after the three days my hair feels so smooth and silky plus there are no tangles any more. After applying it for a couple of times my hair is healthy, smells good, has no tangles, has a shine and isn't brittle any more.

Packaged in the Garnier Fructis bright green it was the first product I trialled. Tub is a generous size, but I’m not a fan of products in tubs. It gets under your nails, you’re trying to put the lid back on while holding the product in your hand...just annoying. Give me a pump bottle anyway. Product itself is a conditioner, full of gorgeous natural ingredients, luxurious to touch, pleasant smelling and really viscous. Used it like a normal conditioner, after shampooing... two weeks isn’t long so I only used it twice. It can also be used as a hair mask, or a treatment (for leave in conditioning). I liked the light and fresh smell, it washed out easily and left hair feeling clean, no residue. I followed instructions, my hair did feel nourished and softer after using it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile hair treatment This is a great value Garnier Fructis hair treatment that comes in a very generous sized tube that will last me a while. I have dry, damaged and frizzy hair and I was therefore pleased to see there was a natural hair treatment included in the Natural Beauty Month Box. This product is very versatile and can be used in three different ways. Firstly as a leave in treatment, as a hair conditioner or as a more intense hair mask. I have used it as a leave in treatment and found that it didn't weigh down my hair or leave it greasy. I also used it as a mask and left it on my hair for about 10 minutes after my shampoo, and found that it left my hair feeling soft and full of volume. It has a strong yet pleasant fresh scent and the texture is a gel cream so it feels light and hydrating. It's also pleasing that it's made from mainly natural ingredients.

This hair treatment comes packaged in a 390ml plastic tub with a screw top lid. I love that it is free from nasties such as parabens, silicones and artificial colours. This rich and creamy hair treatment has a pleasant fruity fragrance. This multi-tasking product can be used as a conditioner, a hair mask and a leave-in hair treatment. I enjoyed using it in all three ways. It works well to condition my hair after shampooing. It also makes a great hair mask for some extra hair pampering. As a leave-in treatment for wet or dry hair, it helps to smooth and soften my hair. After regular use my hair feels softer to the touch and seems more manageable. Costing $11.95 for 390ml this is an affordable hair treatment. I would happily recommend this product to anyone looking for a multi-tasking hair treatment that replenishes the hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3 ways to use this! I received this Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food as part of the Beauty Heaven natural beauty month trial team package. I also just happened to buy this on amazon a couple weeks before the trial so have been using this for weeks. It is a good size package and is very well price. I love the tub it comes in, it makes it easy to dip my hand and spread sparingly through the hair. It's also multi use, I use it as an intense conditioner 1-2 times a week for that added conditioner. I've also tried this as a rinse-out mask which I leave in damp hair for about 5 mins. The other use is like a leave in treatment on dry hair. I would apply a small amount to the ends. All three method leave my hair feeling soft and luscious. This is a great product and addition to my hair routine. Will definitely re-purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile and effective. I was a very fortunate recipient of a Beauty Heaven Natural Beauty Box. What a lovely privilege. One of the products was Garnier Fructis Hydrating Aloe Vera Hair Food. I have not previously used Garnier products, but was very pleasantly surprised to learn that this product is 98% natural origin., with no silicones, parabens or artificial colorants.This hair food is designed to be used as a Conditioner,a Mask, or to Leave In. I chose to use it as a conditioner. The results are lovely ! Not only does it leave my hair soft and very shiny, it also doesn't have any adverse reactions to my scalp.(I have found that some other hair products have a tendency to leave itching and scaling. Not so with this hair food.) Although it leaves my hair very soft, it is not unmanageable. I am able to style it without a flatness. The only negative is the large tub. Hard to avoid water entering it when under the shower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A treat for super dry hair… This massive 390ml tub came in the Natural Beauty Month box, and it sure is a natural beauty. With a deliciously zesty and fresh fragrance (hard to nail down but I’ll say lemony coconut) this versatile product can be used in three ways – as an after shampoo conditioner, a hair mask or as a leave-in treatment… I first tried it as a mask and slathered on a generous amount. The instructions say to leave it on for one minute, which is only 30 seconds longer than using it as a conditioner. I thought this was strange, and assuming it was a misprint I left it on for 20 minutes after my monthly colouring, which as it turns out was way too long (and I used too much) as it made my hair too soft and it wouldn’t hold the style. I never thought I’d say that my hair was too soft after using a product, but there you go - I should have followed the instructions! The second time I worked it through my tresses as a post-shampoo conditioner – I applied about half what I did the first time, rinsed it out almost immediately, and was much happier with the more manageable results. It’s pretty clear from my experience that this formula simply doesn’t need a lot of product, or time, to work its magic… My hair isn’t long enough or dry enough to use it as a leave-in conditioner, but I reckon folks with dehydrated and/or damaged locks will find it an absolute blessing…

I got the opportunity to receive the Natural Beauty Month set. The products are clean, green and sustainable. I had high expectations because a hair food can be highly needed and they were met. I was excited to try this so much as the tv ad makes it look incredibly appealing. The texture is just right. I prefer to use natural products just like this. I trust Garnier to be a more reliable and leading brand compared to others. It's definitely a favourite top brand and I love to try it's different products. It's the best it didn't weigh my hair down. I was satisfied with the effectiveness. It's definitely effective and I'd like to try the other types of Garnier hair food. It's a great feeling to use and ideal for the environment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, multi-use product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Aloe Vera Hair Food comes in a nice big pot, and is easy to scoop out. The scent is light and fresh and the conditioner is rich, thick and nourishing for the hair. The hair food can be used three ways - either as a normal conditioner, a deep conditioner and a leave-in. I've tried all three and found that using it as a normal conditioner in the shower is a bit cumbersome as you have to remove the lid, and do the scoop without letting water get in. However for a deep conditioner, as long as you turn the water off, it works great. I tried it for 1 minute and for 15 and 15 was, as you can imagine, superior. I wrapped my head in a plastic bag (do not put over face!!), and let it sit and the result was very soft, smooth, and shiny hair. I was actually struck by how shiny it was after that. I also have used it as a leave-in and while it doesn't do much for my hair if I put it on dry hair, it works well on damp hair, adding just enough weight (not too much) and extra condition to keep frizzies at bay (my hair is very prone to frizz). The price is right, and its very easy to buy in the local supermarket, and I'm particularly thrilled that Garnier is now all natural and sustainable - excellent move by them.
