Rated 5 out of 5 by philippa495 from Gentle yet effective I have been trialling the Cetaphil exfoliating cleanser in the shower daily for the last few weeks and absolutely love it! It is a big tube containing 178ml of product. The instructions are on the back and are very clear with large writing which is very helpful as I find the older I get the harder it is becoming to see ingredients and instructions! The cleanser itself is lovely and creamy with tiny exfoliating beads which at first I wasn't sure would be very effective, but while it does feel a lot gentler than exfoliating products I have previously used I have been very impressed with the results. Unlike other products in the range it does have a fragrance which is lovely as I actually prefer using products which smell good. Since using the cleanser my skin feels soft and fresher. As it is aimed at people with sensitive skin it will be suitable for everyone. I will definitely repurchased when it runs out.

This a great gentle exfoliating facial cleanser that removes all of the day's pollutants, makeup and any other nasties on your skin whilst, the micro-fine granules buff away my dry skin to smoothness. The granules did not feel harsh on my skin and it did not irritate it. My skin felt so smooth after using this product. It helped glide my moisturiser and foundation a lot easier. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth and with a nice radiant glow. The smell was not too strong which, is perfect for those who don't like strongly scented products. I really like this product as it removed my makeup and left my skin looking a lot more radiant than usual. I would use this about twice a week so not to over scrub my skin. I would definately repurchase this.

The formula is very fine and almost smooth, you can’t really feel any of the normal ‘grit’ or texture you find in common exfoliants. There is not a distinct smell to the formula, more clinical, not a floral or musky scent. When using the product, I found a 10c piece size covered my face and allowed me to focus on the key areas. I did find my skin felt a little irritated just around the nose, no obvious irritation though. My skin felt smooth and look smoother after using. I found using twice a week in conjunction with the night cream and daycare left my skin feeling clean, smooth with pores appearing smaller. I recommend using this with the night cream and day cream to continue seeing results I will continue to use as I saw great results

Rated 5 out of 5 by xCherrybliss from Gentle but effective exfoliation Usually I'm don't really use physical exfoliants because I find a lot of them too drying or irritating for my sensitive skin. I was really excited to try the Cetaphil exfoliator because it's formulated for specifically sensitive skin girls like me. The exfoliator iteslf comes in a basic squeeze tube with a flip top cap. The exfoliator is clear with microfine granules that physically buff away dead skin. I was taken back at how gentle the granules were when I first used it. When I was buffing it into the skin, the granules were super gentle and not a bit abrassive. I found the exfoliator great a giving a deeper clean and my skin felt very soft after using it. Compared to other physical exfoliators I've used, this is probably one of the only ones that didn't leave my skin feeling irritated or tight. I now have incorporated this exfoliator back into my skincare routine after religiously using chemical exfoliators for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ruby247 from Fresh clean skin! I’ve now been using this exfoliating cleanser alongside the foaming cleanser for about 3 weeks and I just love it. The packaging design is not really to my taste but it’s functional in a plastic tube with a flip-top lid. The cleanser is like a gel with tiny little granules in it and really feels like it’s giving you a deep clean, it’s not sudsy rather a soft creamy sensation and rinses of easily. The fragrance is really soft, almost like a baby product but very subtle and it has a really “clean” smell to it. It has been amazing for my skin, my skin is really smooth and glowing, you do have to be careful not to scrub too hard as the tiny particles feel a bit sandy but it is gentle overall. I love using this cleanser as part of my routine but I think once a day would be plenty. I have sometimes sensitive skin and this has been very kind to mine, no redness or uneven skin tone at all! And after three weeks, I still have so much left in the bottle! I am loving how smooth, younger and fresh my skin is looking so I will be keeping this in my kit, I’m always on the look out for something that I can keep using, so I’m forever trying new products, therefore it’s great to find something that really works for me.

This is a gel cleanser with tiny beads that gently buff away dry dull skin to promote cell turn over. It has a very mild clean scent that’s not overpowering. I love that it’s infused with skin loving vitamins and skin conditioners. I use this at night on damp skin massaging the product gently over my entire face then rinse with warm water. My skin is left clean, soft, clear and ready for my night cream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rosetea from Smooth Cleanser Cetaphil Daily Exfoliating Cleanser Up to the trial period of three weeks using Cetaphil products, I had only exfoliated the skin on my face, once a week at most. As I unfortunately have rosacea, I certainly didn’t feel the need for daily exfoliation and twice a day seemed a bit much. However, as this was a trial I’d accepted, I did use the Exfoliator twice a day after the Foaming Cleanser. The fragrance of the 178ml tube, made in Germany, is a clean smell of water/medicinal, a bit like an ocean fragrance – and on the tube itself it has the ingredient “masking fragrance”. The most difficult part I found was to only squeeze a small amount out of the tube – it seemed to want to ooze out! The product is clear with has a clear texture – the micro-fine beads are invisible. It lathers up easily on the face and neck, a thick consistency to begin with and then with the water it smooths out to a lovely creamy consistency to massage in. However, you need to rinse it off very well, as it may leave a residue if you don’t. I think I would follow the instructions/directions on the tube which state “Designed for daily use…”

I love re-newing my skin's surface each day by gently buffing away the old dead skin cells and grime which can build up quickly. This product is clear and a little bit runny, containing super fine exfoliating beads which have a very gentle feeling on the skin. I guess this is why this product is suitable for all skin types as it is gentle enough to use even on sensitive skin without causing irritation. This product feels really refreshing on my skin and I like that it doesn't feel stripping of my natural oils but still makes my skin feel super clean. I have been using this daily, which for me doesn't change my usual skincare routine as I always daily exfoliate my face anyway, so this has been an easy product to switch over along with the other Cetaphil Face products I have been using over the past few weeks from this range. Recommend this product is you're looking for a gentle, fragrance free exfoliator that is gentle enough to use every day and is effective at keeping skin nice and clear, soft and smooth. Would purchase in the future and I look forward to continued use.

Its very easy to apply and works to remove dirt and skin impurities. . It felt gentle on my skin and not rough feeling. My skin felt softer, cleaner and refreshed after using. I was really happy with the results after a couple of weeks. It doesn't dry out the skin. It keeps the skins natural balance. It comes in a good size tube 178ml. Its easy to store and use for sure. Its good for all skin types including sensitive. I love that its dermatologically tested I trust this product much more. It made my skin look great and feel healthy and glowing. You don't need to apply much of the product to get a good result. Its non irritating on the skin. Rinse well after use. Good to use morning and night time routine. It contains vitamin complex which is good for the skin.

It's not overtly harsh, the formula feels cleansing and there's not too many suds and bubbles, which I prefer. The product does foam but not an excessive amount, leaving my skin feeling cleansed and brighter. It does feel slightly hydrating after use and the cleanser feels like a serum-gel in texture. The packaging is great and easy to use. It does feel like a mini scrub and contains small particles for the exfoliating feel, which is the only downside but the packaging does say it contains this. I like using it as a scrub once in a while and applying it gently.

The cleanser has microfine granules that give my skin a deep clean and it’s great for pores. It removes grime, oil and makeup and leaves my skin feeling and looking so fresh and clear. My skin looks plumper and brighter when I use this as it removes dead skin cells. Cetaphil make a great budget friendly product and this cleanser comes at a great price. You can use it daily because it’s so gentle but I only use it about 3 times a week for great results. I would recommend this

It has gel consistency with very tiny beads which almost melts when you massage it. It does clean daily oil build-up and pollution however did very little for makeup. I felt it worked better when I used a wash cloth to wipe away or use this cleanser as second cleanse when I was wearing makeup. It has very mild fragrance which didn't bother need atall. Out does lather and feels creamy on the skin. It didn't leave my skin dry but moisturized. It sometimes left a bit of residue thus i liked to use a wash cloth with this cleanser instead of just rinsing. I liked this product and expected a bit more "exfoliation"thus one less star.

After using daily i found this to be a really good product. The clear like gel has tiny beads that you can barely feel when applied to face. But you can feel it buffing away and it leaves skin feeling very smooth and soft. It had a very light fragrance , It is probably one of the most gentle face exfoliators i have used. It's so gentle on the skin and can be used daily. I felt no dryness after use. My skin was smooth and appeared to be clean and fresh. I find alot of exfoliators irritate my skin leaving it red but no redness after using this one. Would recommend this product to anyone after a gentle but effective exfoliator , this wont dissapoint. Will continue to use this and will purchase in the future.

Unlike some exfoliating cleansers available in market, this one is gentle enough to be used daily by all skin types and including sensitive skin without over drying , stripping or irritating the skin. It contains the skin conditionersLike Glycerin and vitamin complex including Vitamin E , B5. You can use it by taking a small amount in your hand( handy squeeze tube ) , massage it all over the face and wash off with water. It helps to boost cell turnover by removing dry , dead skin and would reveal fresh new face.

It is branded in the same look as other Cetaphil products and in a tube that stands up sturdily on it’s end so can be kept easily in the shower. The cap is easy to open and close, and the product is easy to dispense. The consistency of the product was a little thinner than I expected and it felt smoother in my fingers. When I applied it to my face I could feel that it was very gently exfoliating my skin. I enjoy a product that is a bit stronger at exfoliating but this particular product is able to be used every day which is also great. I used this product every morning on my face and it was lovely to start the day with. I had no irritation from using the product and it didn’t leave my skin tight or dry like some products can. I didn’t notice any real changes in my skin while using this but I do already have quite clear skin so I am happy with this. I liked using this product. As I trialled it before it is released in Australia I am not sure of the price point which is an important factor for me to rate if I would purchase this so it is hard to say but I would definitely consider it if the price is right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Yohanna from Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is a clear gel that turns into foam when buffed all over the skin. The bamboo extract particles in it are milled super fine, so I felt no scrubby bits at all. The formula does not contain harsh surfectants like sulphates. I used it every morning in the shower for the whole month. Placed a generous dollop on cleansing device (Foreo) and buffed all over face, neck and chest. Does not sting my eyes. My skin has very oily t-zone, very big pores and need regular cleansing to prevent black/white heads. This cleanser kept my skin smooth and clear without me needing to use my regular AHAs, clay/acid masks and retinol. Does contain masking fragrance (last on ing list) , but this did not irritate my eczema prone skin at all. Scent is fresh floral. You feel it when popping the gel on the face, then it is gone. Cleanser has some soothing ing in it: vitE, panthenol, glycerin. It was definitely gentle enough to use it daily. Rated 4 out of 5 by Sandyt from Gentle Exfoliating I have been using Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser for a few weeks now , it comes in a tube with a flip lid that is easy to use and most importantly closes and does not break with use. The packaging of the tube is in standard Cetaphil branding white and blue with a tinge of green and grey. The cleanser is a white translucent flowing consistency and you can see really tiny exfoliating beads. It is meant to cleanse and exfoliate at the same time. It does a really good job at doing both and is really very gentle exfoliating. You would not even feel it and leaves the face real clean and all your make us can be removed also with this. I felt that my skin felt a bit dry after using this, I though may be I had used too much of the product so reduced the quantity as well. Although it was not like my skin was dehydrated using it and stretch but just a little bit dry. I had to get straight to applying the moisturiser after using this cleanser. My skin did feel soft and gently the next day , I have been using it every 2 days . I love the way it works so gently as compared to a lot of other exfoliating products.

It is gentle enough to use everyday but I would advise against using it in the morning unless you are exceptionally Oily or have Combination skin. It can lead toward the drying side if you're not careful. The masking fragrance which smells just as strong and pervasive as the fragrance in the Oily skin cleanser is a bit of a problem would be great if CETAPHIL could release a fragrance-free version of this product. This exfoliating cleanser is thorough enough to remove water-resistant sunscreen and a moderate to heavy amount of makeup. The decent size should last you a good while. The packaging is o.k... nothing special, just your average pharmacy clinical packaging. Great for men or women, easy to use and travel with. The exfoliating particles are a bit too small to do any real exfoliating, but it is an exfoliating cleanser and not strictly an EXFOLIANT as such. I only have one beef with this product and that has to do with the INCI or ingredient listing. It does not match the U.S Version, two beneficial ingredients Panthenol (Vitamin B5) and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) are both on the lower end of the INCI. What does that mean? Well, it means you're not getting these ingredients in a high amount as is the U.S. version. Having said that it doesn't really matter in a cleanser since beneficial ingredients like this need to stick around to do their thing. You're not going to get that in a rinse-off product like a cleanser. This is the reality of skincare.

After I use it I feel I need to wash my face again with a different cleanser as I feel there is something left behind I’m not sure if it’s dead skin or residue but either way after the second cleanse ( with a cream cleanser) I’m good to go.

I’m unsure what the “microfine particles” are in terms of the ingredient (Microbeads etc.) but I was hesitant to use it too close to my eye area in case the particles got in my eyes. This made it not a great product for removing makeup. In terms of exfoliation, as someone with dry skin I definitely need more to be a reliable exfoliator, like some AHAs. Overall I find acid cleansers to be a more effective exfoliating cleanser on every front and mechanical exfoliation is something I avoid. This product would be better suited to someone who does not need/want much exfoliation, like teens or extremely sensitive skins. The masking fragrance listed on the ingredients is a concern, however, for already sensitive skin and may also sensitise others. Worth a try for a gentle exfoliant.

The scrub is clear and a little on the thicker gel side with tiny, tiny little exfoliating beads and is very gentle. For sensitive skin this would be great as it does not really “scrub” your face at all so perfect for daily use. I love exfoliating scrubs, but I found this to be far too soft from an exfoliator point of view. The beads are extremely tiny that you cannot feel the “exfoliation or scrub” when washing with this product. To me this is something I would use like a double cleanse product rather than an actual exfoliator as I do not find it exfoliating at all. Personally, I prefer to feel the beads scrubbing my face hence the reason I did not really like this product much. It does leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated and it is not drying at all. The tube is generous and dispenses a good amount, I also like the smell of the scrub but overall would not buy this product from the range again.
