My skin has broken out and been generally unhappy with me lately so I was lucky to be invited to trial the Cleanance Comedomed. I’ve been using it twice a day and can say I have noticed a reduction in blemishes (yay!). Considering the second ingredient in this product is isopropyl alcohol(!!!) my skin reacted surprisingly well to it. My skin can be a bit sensitive at times but that wasn’t an issue and my skin even felt moisturised and wasn’t dried out from There is an unpleasant smell to the product but it lasts less than a minute and then disappears. This product is surprisingly gentle yet

I did find that my oily, blemish prone skin improved, however, I think over a longer period of time, I would have better results. The gel is non greasy, but definitely has a smell to it. I would say this would be great for those with sensitive oily, blemish prone skin and even those in their teens.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing special While I can’t find any real fault with the product, I didn’t see any particularly outstanding results whilst using it for the last few weeks. i didn’t have any skin breakouts, but I didn’t see a reduction in whiteheads or blackheads as id hoped. perhaps my lack of results is due to not really knowing if I was using the product correctly, given the lack of instructions on the packaging (not sure if that’s just because I was using a sample size and not the full size item).

However, this product didn't suit me. With it being winter my skin needs extra hydration and this product dried it out too much that I ended up getting a dry patch under my eye. I feel that this was from the alcohol that was used in it and made it smell bad. I wish I was provided with an ingredients list prior to trialling the product. It would have allowed me to make an informed decision regard what products I am happy with putting on my skin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not right for my skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this blemish-fighting concentrate from Avène, as although I've not used any products from the brand in the last few years, I did remember the Cleanance range being quite good for my skin. Unfortunately Cleanance Comedomed just doesn't suit my skin - in Winter, at least. I have oily, congested skin, but it has been a but dehydrated as the cooler weather sets in in Central Victoria, and I've found my cheeks and forehead have been dryer than they had been than when using my previous product. I did also break out and get two whiteheads, which whilst already uncommon for me, were in areas of my face where I don't even get blackheads so I don't think this was just my skin purging with the introduction of a new product. The product itself has an odd scent, but which dissipates soon after application and isn't a major concern. I like that the product comes in a pump bottle, with one pump the perfect amount for my face. As above, I have liked Avène products in the past and do trust the brand, so I will use the remainder of the product, but likely alternating with my usual serums and moisturisers.

The packaging was non-offensive, unlike the scent of the product. it smells much like hand sanitiser. I don't really get the name, "Comedomed". It actually sounds really unappealing to be honest.
